Chapter 32 The Death of the Wildling King, the Appearance of the Night King

Just as we were on our way back after experimenting with the dolls...

At the Frostfang stronghold, the Savage King Mance Red summoned the kings of several other tribes to discuss the future of all free men, offering several suggestions to the kings present.

They can either unite and march south to attack the Wall, seize the North, and become kings of the North; or they can accept the letter from King Robert of the South, kneel down and pledge allegiance to him, and become citizens of the North!

Mance Red was trying to stir up unease in these kings. They were used to being free men, and to be honest, not many of them could accept suddenly having a master over their heads. But everyone knew how difficult it was to breach the Wall. To capture the Wall and then take down the castles south of it was quite difficult for these savages who lacked weapons and equipment.

At this moment, the Bone King said, "Where are we going to get so many weapons and equipment to conquer the Great Wall? Right now, the entire savage tribe doesn't even have as much armor as Black Castle alone, let alone weapons!"

Tormund, the giant slayer, chimed in, "Yeah! Are we supposed to smother their armored warriors with all this hide we're wearing?"

Tormund is willing to pledge allegiance to the Great Wall and go south to live a normal life, but he dares not say it now. He doesn't know what the kings present really think, and he's afraid that if he speaks out, he'll be the first to die!

At this moment, Mance Red took out an exquisite horn and said, "Of course I won't let our men sacrifice themselves in vain while climbing the Wall. I accidentally obtained a magical horn—the Horn of Winter—from the ruins of the Children of the Forest. It is said that blowing it can cause the Wall to collapse!"

"I will use the horns to force the crows of the Great Wall to come out and fight us, then we will defeat them and take the Great Wall!" Mance Red declared confidently to the crowd.

"Oh! These are all from so many... so many years ago, does it really have such power?" Tormond was a little skeptical of the thing in Red's hand.

"You'll only know if it works after you try..."

Just as Mance Rayder was giving his long speech, something unexpected happened!

Ah! ... A ghoul!

Ghouls! Ghouls stormed into the camp!

The hoarse roars of ghouls! The cries of savages being bitten! The shouts of those resisting with weapons echoed throughout the stronghold of the Savage King Mance Red in the Frostfang.

Hearing the noise, the kings inside the tent rushed out and saw large numbers of ghouls charging toward the camp from several directions of the hillsides.

Mans Reid suddenly said, "Go in different directions, and meet at the Former People's Fist Peak after you get out!"

As he spoke, he pulled several of his spearwomen and ran to the right side of the tent to gather their tribes. Several kings also ran towards their respective tribes.

Having found his tribe in disarray, he slowly gathered some people together. Several wildling kings began to flee, and Mance Red also ran towards the eastern hillside. Just as he was going uphill, a figure on horseback appeared in front of Mance Red.

Mance Rayder looked up and saw the Night King riding an ice horse, holding an ice kukri and staring at him with icy eyes. "You can't kill me! I gave you my children! They're all my gifts to you! You can't kill me!"

(In the backstory, the only First Men White Walker was the Night King, who was transformed by the Children of the Forest using dragon glass. The other blue-eyed First Men White Walkers are said to have been transformed from living babies by the Night King, so they are White Walkers, not wights that were killed and resurrected.)

The Night King didn't speak, but raised his kukri and pointed it at Mance Rayder. Two White Walkers and a large number of wights rushed towards Mance Rayder, and the people Mance Rayder brought were instantly slaughtered by the White Walkers and wights!

After killing the wildlings around Mance Rayder, none of the White Walkers and wights touched him. Instead, they surrounded him to prevent him from escaping. The Night King dismounted and stepped forward. The wights surrounding Mance Rayder automatically made way for him. The Night King glanced down at Mance Rayder and then killed him with a single blow!

Seeing Mance Rayder split apart from his right shoulder to his head, the Night King crouched down and took the horn from his arms!

After obtaining the goods, the Night King mounted his horse and slowly moved forward, looking towards Mance Rayder's camp. At this time, the camp had completely become a hunting ground for wights, with helpless wildlings running around in a panic. Watching a group of people running away to the south, the Night King revealed a playful smile.

Ignoring the group that had escaped, the Night King looked at the camp that had been wiped out. He raised his hands, his eyes emitting an astonishing blue light, and all the dead corpses in the camp rose again. The Night King led the horde of corpses toward the Ghost Forest.

At the very back of the column were towering giant wights, incredibly fast direwolf wights, and several slow-moving mammoth wights. It seemed the Night King was trying every possible way to increase the fighting power of his army. He had seen the incendiary and explosive bombs used by humans in the eyes of the White Walkers I had killed, so he was gathering different types of troops to deal with the humans who had been strengthened!

 …

Tormund was lucky; his tribe was south of the camp, and by the time he ran back to his own camp, most of his men who could evacuate had already gathered, and several giants were also around them.

Tormund wasted no time and called for a quick evacuation. There was no time to care for the elderly, women, and children. Those who could leave had already gathered together, and those who had run away in the chaos could not be found.

The group ran towards the mountain pass in the southeast. In their haste to escape, they didn't see the Night King watching them from a distant hillside, a smile on his face.

 …

The people who returned to Winterfell were unaware that the Wildling King's camp had been attacked by the Night King. The Wildlings there now comprised almost half of the population outside the Wall. After the Night King crossed Ghostwood and harvested the animals and the remaining Wildlings, only Hardhold on the far right of the Wall remained outside the Wall.

The group returned to Wolfsburg, and Bai Ze also returned to the tavern. This time, Bai Ze brought several members of his family with him on his trip north. Tyrion was watching the bar. Xiao Meng was now the Duchess in name only and no longer worked as a waitress. No one dared to accept drinks from the Duchess. The tavern's waitress was now "Beauty" Brienne.

Celine, dressed in a tiny maid's bib, ran around the shop. Meanwhile, Xiaomeng set up a table by the window in the arena, drinking her beverage and watching the little Karamis playing and frolicking in the arena.

Bai Ze pushed open the door and walked into the tavern. When everyone saw Bai Ze return, they all stood up and bowed to him. Most of them knelt on one knee and shouted, "Greetings, Lord Bai Ze!"

Bai Ze waved his hand and casually replied with a couple of words, telling them to get up. He then saw Xiao Meng behind the arena. Bai Ze quickly walked over, squeezed into the large chair she was sitting in, forcibly hugged her, and kissed her. Xiao Meng, seeing so many people looking in her direction, shyly punched Bai Ze twice. Bai Ze laughed twice, nudged Xiao Meng's face with his nose, and didn't say anything more.

Xiao Meng was also defeated by Bai Ze's shamelessness, and could only hug Bai Ze's neck with both hands, letting Bai Ze do whatever he wanted.

Bai Ze beckoned Celine over. Celine saw Bai Ze waving and calling her, and happily ran to his side, saying, "Lord Bai Ze, is there anything I can help you with?"

"Bring me two drinks. You've been busy for so many days, take a break today and relax!" Bai Ze said with a smile to the cheerful girl who had recovered her health.

"Okay, right away!"

After Celine finished speaking, she ran to the bar and looked up at Tyrion, who was sitting on a bar stool, and said that Lord Bai Ze wanted to drink. Tyrion took two bottles of rum, poured two glasses, and placed them on the tray that Celine was holding up. Celine carefully carried the drinks to Bai Ze.

"My lord, please enjoy your meal. Would you like me to fetch some dried fruit?" The sweet little girl was most endearing. Bai Ze looked at the happy Celine and said:

"Hmm~ My diligent and sensible little servant has made Lord Bai Ze very happy! I want to reward my little maid!"

He pretended to take something out of his pocket, but actually he was rummaging through his inventory to see what food or desserts were suitable for the little girl. Then he had an idea! Bai Ze looked at the wild strawberries and coral jelly he had kept as souvenirs in his backpack's consumables. These kinds of things are perfect for little girls.

“Come on, Celine, lift up your tray!”

Bai Ze gestured for Celine to pick up the tray, as he had something for her. The little girl, not expecting a reward from Bai Ze, held up the tray with both hands, looking at her master expectantly.

Bai Ze took out a handful of strawberries, about ten in total, and a few coral jellies, and placed them on Celine's tray. Celine looked at the strawberries and the soft, unfamiliar food on the tray, her eyes sparkling as if they were shining!

"Go eat! This is a reward from Lord Bai Ze to the lovely and sensible Celine!"

Bai Ze patted the little girl's head, signaling her to enjoy her reward. He then turned to look at Xiao Meng, who was already pouting. He chuckled.

"How could I possibly forget my beloved Xiaomeng! Ta-da!"

Bai Ze then took out a large pile of strawberries and coral jelly and poured them onto the small table where the wine was placed. Xiao Meng then smiled and said:

"You know what's going on!"

He picked up a strawberry, wiped it with a cloth in his other hand, and ate it.

Celine, carrying a plate of strawberries and coral jelly that I had given her as a reward, ran to the bar and excitedly showed it to Tyrion and Brienne. She gave each of them two small strawberries and a coral jelly, and then happily sat down on a bar chair to eat.

Tyrion and Brienne were surprised to find themselves among the recipients of the coral jelly. They picked it up and examined it, unsure how to eat the soft, wobbly treat. However, seeing Celine pick it up and start eating, they took a bite without hesitation.

A sweet taste they had never experienced before filled their mouths and minds, unconsciously bringing happy smiles to their faces. Sweets can bring happiness!

Brienne suddenly felt something was wrong. She had injured her calves and waist during the tournament, but after eating the coral jelly, the soreness in her injured calves was gone, and the pain in her waist was gone when she twisted her waist.

Brienne then realized just how precious the food Celine had given Tyrion was—could it be divine food?! One bite was enough to heal her injuries!

 …

After closing for the night, Xiaomeng helped Bai Ze make a large number of dolls. 1000 were made for Christian Ronaldo and 500 for Samorana. Christian, as a support, could be placed more at the rear of the battlefield.

Samorana is a front-line damage dealer, and there's not enough room for more. With only 500 of them, it will take several attempts to unleash them all, and we also need to consider filling in when their skills are on cooldown.

After carefully placing the completed dolls separately, Bai Ze held Xiao Meng and drifted off to sleep.
