Shen Ying has been confined to her office for quite some time, constantly plagued by loneliness and unease.

Zhang Wei reeked of a strong, putrid stench, the smell so tangible it seemed to pierce right into people's noses, making Shen Ying almost vomit.

But his behavior was still very strange; unlike other zombies, he didn't just blindly pounce and bite.

He stood still, his body swaying slightly, his movements somewhat slow, and he would pause from time to time.

Her ears perked up, intently listening for even the slightest sound behind her. Her heart pounded wildly in her chest, her nerves stretched to the limit, fearing that Zhang Wei might change his mind in an instant and suddenly attack her.

After finally getting down the stairs, Shen Ying instinctively looked back as soon as her feet touched the ground.

This sight made her heart leap into her throat; Zhang Wei was following her silently.

Fear gripped her heart instantly, her eyes widened involuntarily, and her body trembled slightly.

Without thinking, Shen Ying instinctively quickened her pace, wanting only to distance herself from Zhang Wei as quickly as possible.

Just as she was fleeing in haste, a muffled thud came from behind her.

Her steps came to an abrupt halt. Though filled with fear, curiosity compelled her to turn back and look.

Zhang Wei was lying on the ground in a ridiculous posture, struggling wildly with his limbs, seemingly trying to get up but lacking the strength.

Shen Ying's lips twitched, and her hand unconsciously reached forward, a subconscious action as she wanted to help.

But in an instant, reason returned, and she suddenly remembered that Zhang Wei in front of her had already turned into a zombie.
