Shen Ying strolled along the winding path in the garden, surrounded by blooming flowers and their fragrance filling the air. Suddenly, a soft rustling sound broke the tranquility, like a gentle breeze rustling through the grass, yet carrying a touch of mystery that drew her attention.

A thought struck her, and she instantly became alert. Her steps became light and slow. At that moment, her curiosity, like an invisible hand, tightly gripped her, driving her to explore the source of the sound.

"What could it be?" Shen Ying wondered to herself, her eyes quickly searching her surroundings, not missing a single corner, feeling a mix of nervousness and excitement.

Finally, her gaze fell on a corner of the flowerbed. The leaves there were trembling slightly, as if something was struggling or hiding inside. Shen Ying approached quietly, her eyes fixed on the trembling leaf, barely daring to breathe. "What could be inside? I hope it's nothing dangerous," she murmured to herself.

When she parted the leaves, the sight before her eyes lit up, revealing an unexpected surprise.

An incredibly cute little monster appeared before her. Its entire body was covered in long, white fur, soft and fluffy, like clouds kissed by the sun, each hair radiating a gentle glow. Its long ears drooped on either side of its head, the tips of which were pink, like delicate flowers blooming in the snow, adding to the little monster's playfulness and cuteness.

Its body was short and round, only the size of a small puppy. When it curled up, it looked like a fluffy ball, making you want to reach out and touch it. The little monster's big, dark eyes looked at Shen Ying, filled with innocence and naivety. Its adorable appearance instantly melted Shen Ying's heart.

"Oh my god, it's so cute! What kind of fantastical creature is this?! I really want to pet it!" Shen Ying cheered in her heart, her previous wariness completely forgotten, and at this moment she was filled with love for this little monster.

Shen Ying tried to approach the little thing. She slowly reached her hand forward, her fingertips trembling slightly, both nervous and excited.

"Little one, don't be afraid," Shen Ying said softly, her voice like a gentle spring breeze. The little demon stared at her with its big, dark eyes, a hint of curiosity and wariness in them.

Just as Shen Ying's hand was about to touch its furry body, the little monster suddenly shrank back, and its ears twitched slightly, as if it had been frightened.

Shen Ying quickly stopped, a hint of apology on her face: "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to." She remained in that position, waiting quietly, giving the little demon enough time to adapt.

After a while, the little monster seemed to sense Shen Ying's kindness and cautiously leaned forward, gently sniffing Shen Ying's fingers.

Shen Ying held her breath, a strange feeling spreading through her as the corners of her mouth involuntarily turned up. The little monster's pink nose rubbed against her fingertips, soft and cool, a touch that melted Shen Ying's heart.

Shen Ying remained squatting there, her knees aching slightly, and her legs gradually becoming numb, as if a fine electric current was coursing through them. Yet her gaze remained fixed on the little monster before her, her eyes filled with affection, and she couldn't bear to move an inch.

As the tingling sensation intensified, feeling like countless tiny needles pricking her, she frowned slightly, then plopped down on the ground, crossing her legs. She reached out to the little demon, a gentle smile on her lips, and softly said, "Little one, come here." The little demon tilted its head, blinking its large, black, gem-like eyes, seemingly hesitant.

Shen Ying gently shook her finger, as if casting a mysterious spell. The little monster finally moved, hopping and skipping closer to Shen Ying with its short legs. Shen Ying carefully reached out and gently scratched the little monster's chin, saying as she did so, "You're so cute, aren't you? Doesn't it feel good?"

The little monster seemed to understand her words, comfortably squinting its eyes and making a soft purring sound in its throat. The sound was like a spring breeze rustling through a wind chime, crisp and melodious, as if responding to Shen Ying, indicating that it was immersed in this moment of unparalleled enjoyment.

Seeing this, Shen Ying smiled even more brightly. She gently stroked the little monster's ears with her other hand, and the little monster rubbed its head against Shen Ying's palm. The affectionate appearance melted Shen Ying's heart.

"What are you doing here?" Shen Ying's heart skipped a beat when she heard that familiar voice. She instinctively reached out and quickly shoved the little monster inside her skirt, her hand still tightly covering it. Then, looking guilty, she turned around and saw Adrian standing there, his white hair shimmering softly in the sunlight.

Shen Ying's heart skipped a beat, and she exclaimed inwardly, "Oh dear, I never knew Adrian could walk so silently! It scared me to death. If he discovers this little monster, we're in big trouble." She knew Adrian had always hated monsters, and for the little monster's life, she tried her best to calm herself down.

"Hi, Your Highness, I was just sunbathing here. What brings you here?" Shen Ying forced a smile, trying to make her voice sound natural. She didn't dare to meet Adrian's eyes for too long, only glancing at him quickly before looking away. Her hands, however, tightened secretly at the hem of her skirt, afraid that the little devil might be accidentally revealed.

Adrian frowned slightly, looked up at the blazing sun high in the sky, and then shifted his gaze to Shen Ying's rosy cheeks, which he found somewhat abnormal.

He kindly reminded you, "Sunbathing is good, but you should do it in moderation. I'm afraid you'll get sunburned if you keep going." His voice was deep and magnetic, with a hint of concern.

Hearing Adrian's words, Shen Ying belatedly realized that she had indeed been under the sun for quite some time. The scorching sunlight felt like countless burning needles pricking her skin, and the dizziness she had ignored due to nervousness now surged back like a tide. She felt her head was spinning, as if a wad of cotton was stuffed inside, and her vision began to blur.

But there was still that cute little monster hiding in her skirt, and she didn't dare to move at all. She could only force herself to stay calm and continue, "Oh, okay, I'm fine. I'll just stay in the sun a little longer. Your Highness, please go ahead and do what you need to do. Don't worry about me. I'll manage my time well."

Her lips were dry, and each word seemed to require all her strength to speak. Fine beads of sweat appeared on her forehead, whether from the sun or from nervousness, she couldn't tell. She just hoped Adrian would leave quickly so that she and the little monster could escape this dangerous and awkward situation.

Adrian gave Shen Ying a deep look, his gaze lingering on her face as if trying to penetrate her soul and uncover the secrets of her heart. After a moment's pause, he said, "Alright, I'll be going then." His voice was deep and steady, echoing slowly in the air.

Upon hearing this, Shen Ying felt as if all her strength had been drained away, and she let out a long sigh of relief. Her shoulders slumped slightly, and her tense body relaxed a little. She stared intently at Adrian's back until she was sure he was really walking away and disappearing around the corner of the garden, then she quickly squatted down and carefully released the little monster hidden in her skirt.
