Fang Li subconsciously cursed, "Touched my ass!"

Without changing his expression, he asked in return, "Mr. Lu, what exactly do you want to say to me today?"

Lu Jie maintained a smile throughout, and upon hearing this, a hint of boredom seemed to flash across his eyes, but it was quickly covered by a smile again: "Come and sit down, let's eat and chat."

He walked towards the head of the table, and someone pulled out a chair for him. He didn't even look at it as he bent down and sat down.

The only empty seat left at the table was next to him.

Fang Li looked at him, who was standing still.

Lu Jie looked up, his smile fading: "What, are your legs too weak to walk, or do you want me to come over and carry you to sit down?"

Fang Li frowned and finally lifted her foot.

After she sat down, the door to the private room was pushed open, and waiters filed in to serve the dishes.

Every dish was exquisite and beautiful, making one's mouth water, but Fang Li was in no mood for it at the moment; all she could think about was how to leave.

Lu Jie: "Since we're already here, let's try the food at Mulinju."

He placed a bright orange piece of pork rib into Fang Li's bowl. Fang Li glanced at it but didn't react.

“Mr. Lu, we don’t seem to be close enough to be serving each other food.” She glanced at him, her gaze fixed on him alone. “Thank you for your hospitality, but I have something to attend to later, so I’ll take my leave.”

As she spoke, Fang Li was about to stand up.

Lu Jie's smile vanished, and he raised his hand to hold her down: "What counts as being familiar? Like you and Han Lao Er?"

Fang Li remained noncommittal.

He smirked and continued, "Whether we can become close, and how close we can become, depends entirely on you. Do you want to give it a try?"

Lu Jie spoke with a teasing tone, but Fang Li replied calmly, "Mr. Lu, what makes you think you can compare to Han Xi? Besides, I don't want to get to know you that well."

Upon hearing this, Lu Jie's smile remained unchanged: "So heartless?"

Fang Li remained expressionless and did not answer.

Lu Jie wasn't annoyed. He personally took the glass in front of her, poured her a glass of red wine, and handed it to her: "You can at least have a drink if you don't want to eat or drink."

Fang Li: "Sorry, I don't drink."

Unable to persuade him, the atmosphere became tense. Someone at the table jokingly remarked, "Young Master Lu, it seems Miss Xu doesn't appreciate your efforts at all."

Lu Jie slightly pursed his lips, revealing a somewhat frustrated expression. He put down his wine glass and looked at Fang Li, saying, "Why are you so cold? You're so submissive to Han Lao Er, but I've shown you the utmost sincerity. You won't even give me this much face?"

Fang Li said, "It's not that I'm not giving Mr. Lu face, it's just that I really can't drink."

“Mr. Lu, in the capital, you are a figure who can shake the world with a stomp of your foot, if not an absolute ruler. I have never provoked you. Why can’t we just go our separate ways? Why do you have to force me to do something against my will?”

"Making things difficult for someone?" Lu Jie chuckled. "I went to so much trouble to invite you over for a meal, how is that making things difficult for someone?"

A man nearby chuckled softly. Lu Jie curled his lips, leaned closer to her, and raised an eyebrow: "If that's the case, then what would you do if I insisted on forcing you to do something against your will?"

Fang Li wanted to curse inwardly. She had already said all she could, and yet this person insisted on forcing her to do something and asking her what to do? What could she do? Just let it be!

Lu Jie could also see that she was on the verge of losing her temper. His carefree smile faded a bit, and he sat back in the chair with a slightly more serious expression.

Just when Fang Li thought he had had his fun and was about to let her go, he stared at her quietly for a few seconds, then suddenly smiled and asked, "Want to leave here?"

Fang Li didn't speak, but the look in her eyes was obvious.

Lu Jie leaned back in his chair, staring intently at Fang Li's face. When Fang Li met his gaze, for a moment, she felt that the person sitting next to her wasn't human. The mischievous and sinister look in his eyes made him seem like a male fox spirit who had cultivated for a thousand years!

She felt a chill run down her spine from his gaze, and then she heard him slowly say, "How about this, if you agree to a few conditions, I'll let you go."

Fang Li frowned: "How many?"

Lu Jie thought for a moment and said, "Three, how about three? As long as you can do them, I promise I won't make things difficult for you, and I'll personally escort you out."

Fang Li patiently said, "You go first."

Lu Jie smiled meaningfully and leisurely held up one finger, saying, "First, remove me from the blacklist, and you're not allowed to ignore my calls anymore."

“…Fine.” Fang Li said coldly, “Say the second one.”

Lu Jie sat up, propped his elbow on the edge of the table, and looked at her sideways, saying, "Second, if we meet again in the future, you are not allowed to pretend you don't know me. You must take the initiative to greet me."

Fang Li's expression remained calm; she paused for a moment before nodding, "...the third one."

Inside the private room, some people chuckled softly, but most kept their eyes down, not daring to show too much emotion. There was a hint of disbelief in everyone's eyes; they couldn't understand what trick Lu Jie was playing. How could someone with such a short temper and no patience be so patient with Fang Li?

Fang Li, after hearing the two conditions he proposed, gradually felt more at ease, and her anxiety eased considerably.

Just then, a mischievous glint flashed in Lu Jie's eyes. He hadn't expected that she, who looked so cold, was actually not very brave. She became so easy to talk to after being threatened.

He really wanted to see what kind of special reaction she would have, so he raised an eyebrow and teased her, saying, "The third one is actually very simple."

He stared intently at Fang Li, a smile playing on his lips, but it didn't reach his eyes. His thin lips parted indifferently as he said, "If you say 'Han Xi is no good' three times in front of everyone, I'll let you go immediately, how about it?"

The man to Lu Jie's right held back for a long time before finally bursting into laughter.

On the other hand, Lu Jie looked at Fang Li with a serious expression, as if he didn't realize how out of line his words were.

"How do you know he can't do it?" Fang Li asked defiantly.

Lu Jie smiled wickedly: "So you know? So you and him..."

"Shut up!"

Fang Li's ears burned, and her eyelids twitched as a physiological reflex. Looking at his confident and relaxed appearance, she really wanted to pick up the glass of red wine in front of her and pour it over his head!

What did he take her for? Was he just teasing her all day?

Who knows how much of a grudge there is between him and Han Xi? What does their fighting have to do with her?

At this moment, Fang Li inexplicably felt a bit resentful towards Han Xi.

Why did you have to mess with such a madman?

Fang Li took a deep breath inwardly. Although she was furious and her chest heaved slightly, she still endured it on her face, showing neither fear nor anger.

Lu Jie looked at her and chuckled, "If you don't want to tell me, then you can't blame me. You'll just have to finish this meal with me and see how I feel before you tell me."

Fang Li remained silent. To be honest, she had already given up on him the moment he made his third request. She shouldn't have had any illusions about someone who spouts nonsense and finds pleasure in tormenting others.
