Exclusive Pampered Wife: My Wife Came to My Door

Chapter 92 Enemies meet on a narrow road

Yan Zuozuo nodded and snuggled against him. "It's not that I don't trust you, it's just that I'm worried. I don't know what bad things Cai Qingqing might do, but I just can't help worrying about you."

Of course, she knew that Chi Moqing hadn't risen to his position easily; he wasn't someone to be trifled with. But he was her husband, and no matter how much she trusted him, she couldn't completely shake off her worries.

"Silly girl, as long as you trust me and don't leave me no matter what happens, I can handle everything," Chi Moqing said with a smile.

Yan Zuozuo nodded firmly: "I will not leave you, and I will never abandon the child."

Chi Moqing held her even tighter. As long as Yan Zuozuo was by his side, he had enough confidence and motivation to get rid of those with ill intentions and give his wife and children a stable and happy environment.

After a while, Chi Moqing said, "I'm so hungry after a long day at work. How about we have dinner together?"

Yan Zuozuo got up, hugged his neck and said, "Thank you for your hard work, honey. Go wash your hands and I'll heat up your food."

Chi Moqing kissed her and went to the bathroom. Yan Zuozuo walked lightly to the kitchen, heating up the food with an irrepressible smile on her face. The saying "love breeds fear" perfectly described her situation. The deeper the love, the greater the worry.

When Chi Moqing came out, she had already put the food on the table. He went over, hugged her, and began to eat.

Fu Zixin did go to work at Su Kang Company, and that day she asked Yan Zuozuo out for dinner.

“I don’t know if what I did was right or wrong. It’s like Su Kang told his subordinates not to make things difficult for me. I get the most money in the company, but I do the least work. My seat is right across from Su Kang, separated by a glass partition. I can see him with just a glance. This feeling is very powerless. I asked him to change seats, but he said that’s how the seats are arranged.”

In the restaurant, Fu Zixin looked distressed and embarrassed, resting her chin on the table as she continued to complain, "I don't know if he did it on purpose, do you know how outrageous this floor is? There's even a nutritionist delivering food regularly. Now, in addition to three meals a day, I also get nutritious porridge in the morning and afternoon. This is just too unbelievable."

"What about the others?" Yan Zuozuo asked, raising an eyebrow.

“Yes, they all have that, but…” Fu Zixin sighed, somewhat conflicted, “They all say the nutritionist only arrived two days before I started work. You know how I am, I tend to overthink things, and now even I don’t know if staying here is the right thing to do.”

Yan Zuozuo was silent for a moment before speaking, "You originally intended to test him. If he is sincere, you can be considered a family reunion."

"What do you mean by family reunion? Don't talk nonsense." Fu Zixin rolled her eyes at her and said, "I feel like I'm just taking a break there, doing nothing and getting the highest salary. Zuo Zuo, should I quit?"

"Are you crazy?" Yan Zuozuo looked at her amusedly. "This kind of job is rare and hard to come by, and you're still complaining about this and that. If you keep being so arrogant, be careful that God doesn't take you away."

"Screw you, I just feel really uneasy. After all, I haven't decided whether or not to accept Su Kang," Fu Zixin said, distressed, as she grabbed a pastry and stuffed it into her mouth.

Yan Zuozuo stared at the conflicted little face, a smile flashing in her eyes. Although Fu Zixin wasn't as lively and energetic as before, she was much better now than during the time she broke up with Wang Kaijun. Perhaps Su Kang was a good choice; should she talk to him, without making it so obvious, and at least get Fu Zixin to do something?

As they ate and chatted, Yan Zuozuo asked her, "How's the baby? Is the nanny doing well?"

“The baby is doing well. Speaking of the nanny, I want to talk to you about it.” Fu Zixin said with a serious face, “I agreed to let you pay for the nanny because I didn’t have a job before. But now that I have a job, I should pay for it myself.”

Yan Zuozuo looked at her amusedly: "It was agreed that this was a gift for my godson. What, now that you have a job, you don't want it anymore?"

Fu Zixin rolled her eyes: "Then you should keep this money and give it to my daughter as a red envelope later. Anyway, I can afford the nanny's salary now, so you really don't need to pay for it for me anymore."

Yan Zuozuo took a sip of juice, paused, and said, "Alright then, I'll save it to give my godson a big red envelope later."

“Daughter!” Fu Zixin corrected, a relaxed smile on her lips. “Looks like I need to work hard to earn money. When you give birth to a healthy and chubby son, I can’t be stingy. I have to treat my future son-in-law well.”

"Tsk tsk, you're a bit too scheming, aren't you?" Yan Zuozuo laughed heartily. Seeing Fu Zixin's smug look, she suddenly felt much more at ease. Perhaps Fu Zixin had truly moved on. She reached out and took her hand, saying earnestly, "Zixin, no matter what happens, you still have me."

Fu Zixin looked at her quietly, her eyes suddenly reddening, but the next second she burst out laughing, pretending to be relaxed and said, "Why are you being so sentimental? It makes me uncomfortable." After a pause, she raised a big smile and assured her, "Zuo Zuo, I'm fine, I'll be even better than before."

"I know." Yan Zuozuo held her hand tightly. She believed that Fu Zixin would really get better and better.

Just as they were finishing their meal, Yan Zuozuo's phone rang. It was Chi Moqing calling. She smiled slightly, glanced at Fu Zixin, and went outside to answer the call. It wasn't that she couldn't tell Fu Zixin anything, but rather that she felt embarrassed to be affectionate with Chi Moqing in front of Fu Zixin. After all, her CEO always liked to say things that were sickeningly sweet.

"Going home?" Yan Zuozuo looked at the streetlights that had come on and realized that it was already late.

"Yes, I didn't see you when I got home. I called for you for ages but no one answered. I'm so sad." Chi Moqing said plaintively, looking pitiful, like an abandoned child.

"President Chi, are you trying to be cute with me?" Yan Zuozuo chuckled softly, increasingly realizing that Chi Moqing was no longer the cold-faced man she had known before.

"If I admit it, will you come back sooner?" Chi Moqing sniffed, pretending to choke up.

Yan Zuozuo laughed heartily: "President Chi, that's enough, you're not being convincing anymore. By the way, have you eaten yet?"

"No, I don't feel like eating when you're not home." Her tone was so plaintive that Yan Zuozuo was amused and couldn't help but tease, "When did President Chi become so clingy?"

"I've always been this clingy, honey. When are you coming back? Should I come pick you up?" he said, his tone becoming increasingly insistent, as if he wanted to carry Yan Zuozuo home the very next second.

Yan Zuozuo glanced through the glass at the nearly finished meal on the table, just in time to meet Fu Zixin's teasing gaze. Her face flushed, and she walked a little further away before speaking, "We're almost done eating, but I still have to go to the mall with Zixin, so we might be a little late."

"Awooo!" President Chi was extremely unhappy, his tone full of the desolation of being abandoned, and he said with a low, resentful voice, "Okay, but remember to call me and I'll come pick you up."

Yan Zuozuo smiled helplessly. This man appeared gentle and refined on the surface, but deep down he was quite domineering and forceful. He wanted to pamper her, and she couldn't refuse. Thinking of this, Yan Zuozuo couldn't help but shake her head and smile, feeling deeply moved.

After hanging up, she prepared to walk towards the restaurant, but before she even entered, she saw Fu Zixin rushing towards her, grabbing her hand in a panic and saying, "Let's go."

Yan Zuozuo was taken aback and looked at her in confusion, "What's wrong?" She had only been gone for a short while, what had happened?

"No, let's go!" Fu Zixin said quickly, pulling her towards the roadside to hail a taxi.

Yan Zuozuo blinked blankly, then turned around and saw Wang Kaijun running towards them with a worried look on his face. He stood in front of Fu Zixin, breathing heavily, and grabbed her hand tightly. His chest heaved with anxiety.

Yan Zuozuo then realized that she hadn't expected to run into him here in such a small city as S. Seeing Wang Kaijun's anxious expression, as if he was afraid Fu Zixin would disappear, Yan Zuozuo wasn't surprised at all. After all, Wang Kaijun had been frantically searching for Fu Zixin lately, so his excitement upon seeing her wasn't surprising.

She glanced at Fu Zixin and saw that she was clutching her bag tightly, her face stiff.

"Zixin..." Wang Kaijun stared intently at her. For so long, he had been searching for her frantically. Without her, he felt he couldn't go on living. No matter what, he could no longer let go of her.

Fu Zixin stared at Wang Kaijun, seeing his haggard appearance, and felt a pang of pain in her heart. However, her face remained cold, and she said sharply, "Let go!"

Wang Kaijun stared intently at her, refusing to let go. Just as Yan Zuozuo was about to say something, she saw Cai Keren and Qi Jiahui emerge from the restaurant, leaving her momentarily bewildered.

Qi Jiahui also saw Yan Zuozuo. His smiling face froze slightly, and he quickly lowered his hand from Cai Keren's waist.

Yan Zuozuo narrowed her eyes and gave a self-deprecating twitch. How blind she must have been to have been with a scumbag like Qi Jiahui for so many years.

"Zuo Zuo?" Qi Jiahui walked over, with Cai Keren following behind him.

Yan Zuozuo looked at him indifferently, her face expressionless.

Qi Jiahui gave an awkward laugh, "Long time no see."

Yan Zuozuo remained silent, her gaze shifting back and forth between Cai Keren and Qi Jiahui. A man about to get married was actually having an affair with another woman, who turned out to be his wife's uncle's mistress.

The forest is so big that there are all kinds of birds.

Beside her, Wang Kaijun held Fu Zixin's hand tightly and said, "I've been looking for you for so long, Zixin. I know I was wrong. I can get a divorce right now. I've been living like a walking corpse since you left. I shouldn't have thought I could give you up. Zixin, please give me another chance. I promise I'll treat you well this time."

"Wang Kaijun, have you always been this selfish?" Fu Zixin said coldly, forcefully shaking off his arm. "Back then, I was pathetic, clinging to you relentlessly. So I deserved to be abandoned by you and leave in pain. But what about now? You think you made a mistake, and for your own sake, you've decided to hurt your wife again and come back to me? Wang Kaijun, how come I never realized you were so shameless before?"

Wang Kaijun froze, clenched his fists, and couldn't utter a single word. Fu Zixin tried to leave, but he stopped her, saying, "Listen to me..."

Just then, Qi Jiahui stepped forward and stood in front of Yan Zuozuo. "Let's go over there and talk, let them have a good chat." It has to be said that Qi Jiahui is a person who knows how to seize the opportunity.

Yan Zuozuo glanced at Fu Zixin, then at Wang Kaijun. They would have to clear things up sooner or later, so she might as well settle it all today. She nodded and walked across the street.

Cai Keren looked at Yan Zuozuo and Qi Jiahui with a gloomy gaze, paused for a moment, and then quickly followed them.
