Chi Moqing smiled faintly: "I called Mom earlier, and I was originally planning to send a car to pick her up, but Uncle Mu said he would bring her here." He paused and said, "Since Mom was discharged from the hospital, we haven't been able to show our filial piety. It's a good opportunity to bring her here to stay for a couple of days, firstly to take care of you, and secondly to show our respect to her."

Yan Zuozuo looked at him and suddenly felt a warmth in her heart. He always thought things through better than she did, whether it was for her or her family. He was always very considerate. Now that she thought about it, she felt that she was not a good wife. She knew very little about him and had not been considerate enough about his family.

She lowered her eyes, suddenly looking somewhat saddened. "Could you please not think of everything so thoroughly? It makes me feel terrible."

Chi Moqing smiled and reached out to pat her head. "You are the greatest contributor to my marriage. Even if you do nothing, you are the most perfect wife."

"Sweet words." Although Yan Zuozuo said this, she felt sweet inside.

As soon as Yan's mother and Mu Tianyang got out of the car, they saw Chi Moqing and Yan Zuozuo arrive. Chi Moqing quickly went over and put all the bags they were carrying into the trunk.

After getting in the car, Chi Moqing said, "If you want to come in the future, just give us a call. It's so hot, and Mom isn't feeling well, so it's not safe for her to travel by car."

Mother Yan smiled and said, "It's not far. I'm not so old that I can't move."

Mu Tianyang smiled and said, "I suggested we drive over, but your mother wouldn't allow it, saying that driving is tiring and taking a car is more convenient."

Yan Zuozuo looked at her mother with a grin and said mischievously, "Mom is so considerate."

Mother Yan glared at her, annoyed: "You brat, what nonsense are you talking about?"

"I'm not making this up, I'm telling the truth," Yan Zuozuo protested softly, then turned to look at Mu Tianyang sitting in the back of the car and chuckled, "Uncle Mu, have you been staying with my mom lately?"

Mu Tianyang nodded, and was about to speak when Yan's mother glared at him, then gently scolded Yan Zuozuo, "What's wrong with you, girl? You're a mother now, and you still don't know how to behave? Don't you understand prenatal education?"

Yan Zuozuo looked at her mother with a half-smile, and her mother blushed.

After a while, Yan's mother said, "I bought black-boned chicken and ginseng, as well as some tonics. I'll make soup for you when I get back." She paused, then added, "I noticed that Mo Qing has lost weight recently, so I'm here to help you all get some nourishment."

Yan Zuozuo's eyes lit up: "Mom, you've decided to sell the flower shop?"

Mother Yan glanced at Mu Tianyang and saw him smile, "Yes, it's already been sublet. Your mother and I have discussed it, and I'll hand over my small company to Yao Qian. We're planning to have a destination wedding in a while."

"Really?" Yan Zuozuo's excitement was palpable, and she immediately smiled and said, "Congratulations, Mom! Congratulations, Uncle Mu!"

Mother Yan's face turned even redder, and she pinched Mu Tianyang hard. This matter is not urgent, why did you say it so early?

Seeing her mother's embarrassment, Yan Zuozuo quickly changed the subject, "How is my mother's health now? Is she suitable for a destination wedding? Do you still want to have a banquet and invite friends or something?"

“Your mother and I went to the hospital for a checkup, and she is in very good health now. There is absolutely no problem with a destination wedding. As for the banquet, we just plan to invite some relatives and friends for a meal, and we don’t intend to make a big fuss,” Mu Tianyang said.

Yan Zuozuo nodded, clearly satisfied with the arrangement. She then chuckled and said, "Then I'll leave my mother in Uncle Mu's care from now on."

Mu Tianyang smiled and held Yan's mother's hand tightly.

Upon arriving home, Chi Moqing poured tea for Yan's mother and Mu Tianyang. Yan Zuozuo felt thirsty and reached for water. But Chi Moqing stopped her the next second, looking at her disapprovingly, "Can you drink tea now?"

Yan Zuozuo stuck out her tongue, touched her nose guiltily, and said, "I'll drink plain water."

Seeing Yan Zuozuo's well-behaved appearance and the doting look in Chi Moqing's eyes, Yan's mother finally felt relieved. She reached out and touched Yan Zuozuo's belly, and suddenly her eyes reddened.

When Yan Zuozuo was born, she was tiny and thin, and even the doctors doubted whether she would survive. But in the blink of an eye, more than 20 years have passed, and the little girl has not only grown up but also gotten married and had children. Yan's mother felt indescribable complicated emotions.

"Mom, why are you crying?" Yan Zuozuo reached out to wipe away her mother's tears.

Yan's mother quickly sniffed: "I'm just touched."

During the meal, Yan Zuozuo occasionally gave Chi Moqing some instructions about pregnancy precautions. Chi Moqing listened silently, looking even more attentive than Yan Zuozuo.

Yan Zuozuo glanced at him and smiled, "Mom, you can just tell Mo Qing all this. Anyway, he has a better memory than me."

Mother Yan glared at her: "You little rascal."

Chi Moqing smiled and served Yan Zuozuo another bowl of black chicken soup. "Mom, I've remembered everything. Don't worry."

Yan's mother smiled at Chi Moqing, her gaze filled with helplessness as she looked at Yan Zuozuo. After a pause, she added with a touch of melancholy, "Time flies so fast. I'm going to be a grandmother soon. I still remember when Zuozuo was first born, so tiny and adorable, crying so easily, like a flood was about to break out. But in the blink of an eye..."

Yan Zuozuo pursed her lips, her eyes glistening with moisture, "Mom."

Yan's mother patted her hand. She had seen all the hardships her daughter had gone through, from work and love to heartbreak, and then marriage and children. Now that she saw her daughter so happy, she could die in peace.

"Mom, thank you for raising Zuo Zuo so well. Because of you, I have such a wonderful wife," Chi Moqing said.

"Mom, thank you for giving my only daughter a happy home. I hope you can continue to be this happy in the future." Mother Yan looked at Chi Moqing, her eyes full of hope.

Chi Moqing nodded: "I will do my best to be good to Zuo Zuo and make sure she is happy for the rest of her life." He said it with certainty.

Later that evening, Chi Moqing invited Yan's mother and Mu Tianyang to stay at the hotel, since there were plenty of rooms available. But Mu Tianyang declined, saying, "I'll go back to the hotel and meet Yao Qian tomorrow to tell her about our marriage."

Yan Zuozuo wanted to persuade him to stay, but her mother said, "Just let him be. He'll probably feel awkward staying here too."

After seeing Mu Tianyang off, Yan's mother chatted with Yan Zuozuo for a while before going back to her room to sleep. As she closed the door, she heard Yan Zuozuo say, "Mom, make extra soup tomorrow, and I'll take some to Zixin."

Yan Zuozuo had just told her mother about Fu Zixin, and her mother nodded, "I'll cook something delicious for you tomorrow, go to bed early."

Back in the room, Chi Moqing went to take a shower, while Yan Zuozuo sat alone on the sofa, cross-legged, drawing something. A slight smile played on her lips, creating a warm and cozy scene.

Chi Moqing came out of the bathroom and dried his hair with a towel. He originally wanted to go over and kiss and hug her. But remembering that she was pregnant, he automatically dried his hair first before going over.

He looked down at her design sketch—matching outfits for the family of three. It was adorable and heartwarming. Chi Moqing's lips curved into a smile, and he reached out to pull her into his arms. Lately, he'd found himself not wanting to work at all; he just wanted to stay by Yan Zuozuo's side, spending quality time with her and their child.

He shifted his body, adjusting himself to a comfortable position for her to nestle in. Yan Zuozuo looked up at him, "When the baby is born, the three of us will dress like this, isn't that fun?"

Chi Moqing nodded, and then heard Yan Zuozuo continue, "I also want to design hats, scarves, socks, gloves, and shoes." She became more and more excited as she spoke, grabbing Chi Moqing to talk about her ideals, "I used to think that only designing high-end and fashionable clothes was a success. But now I think that being able to design warm and loving clothes, no matter how much they cost, as long as they give people a warm and happy feeling when they wear them, is a success."

She tilted her head back, her eyes sparkling, "I've decided to change my design style and specialize in designing parent-child outfits, children's wear, and couple outfits from now on..."

Chi Moqing looked at her intently and said gently, "You really love design."

Yan Zuozuo nodded without hesitation: "This is the dream I've been pursuing all my life."

Chi Moqing smiled but remained silent, gently embracing her. He was thinking that perhaps after Yan Zuozuo gave birth, he should create a new brand at Fan Hua Design, specifically for his wife to play with.

Yan Zuozuo nestled in Chi Moqing's arms, her hands lightly stroking her lower abdomen. After a while, she said, "Chi Moqing, tell me the truth, do you want a boy or a girl?"

"A baby girl!" Chi Moqing said without hesitation, "If it's a baby girl, she'll look good in anything. She'll be all pink and cute, hugging me and calling me 'Daddy.' It will be so wonderful. So, my wife, you absolutely have to have a baby girl."

Yan Zuozuo rolled her eyes: "Is this something I can decide?"

Chi Moqing nuzzled her hair and whispered, "Then we need to design the girls' clothes first. Pink will definitely look good."

Yan Zuozuo was both amused and exasperated: "What if it's a boy?"

"Boys should wear girls' clothes too!" Chi Moqing said domineeringly. After thinking for a while, he added confidently, "It's definitely for girls!"

Yan Zuozuo thought Chi Moqing must have gone mad, gone mad from missing his daughter. She deliberately pinched his palm, "That's enough, if you keep doing this, I'll definitely tell on you when our son comes out."

Chi Moqing laughed and kissed her head repeatedly, "Zuo Zuo..."

"Ok?"

"I love you," Chi Moqing whispered, his eyes filled with deep affection.

Yan Zuozuo froze, staring at him in shock. Before she could even speak, he kissed her wildly, forcefully and domineeringly, as if he wanted to melt her into himself.

Yan Zuozuo was breathless from his kisses, her body covered in his scent. Chi Moqing looked at her dazed, longing eyes and wanted to continue, but considering the child in her womb, he held back.

Yan Zuozuo clung tightly to his clothes, her whole being seemingly melting into a pool of spring water, soft and still.

Chi Moqing took a deep breath until the surging waves within him slowly subsided, then stroked her lower abdomen and said softly but firmly, "It's definitely a girl."

Yan Zuozuo was completely speechless; she no longer wanted to talk about someone's obsession.

The two nestled together quietly. Yan Zuozuo was still perfecting the matching outfits for the two of them with her pen in hand, while Chi Moqing held her and watched her make changes quietly, offering suggestions from time to time.

The phone rang at this incongruous moment. After a while, Chi Moqing reluctantly let go of Yan Zuozuo and answered the phone, "Hello."
