Chi Moqing looked up at her, gently kissing away the tears on her face, then pressing his kiss along her cheek to her pink lips. Unlike his usual passionate and domineering manner, this time his tenderness warmed her heart.

"Zuo Zuo, we have a child... me and your baby..." His excitement was beyond words.

Yan Zuozuo nodded and wrapped her arms around his neck. "Yeah, it's been almost two months. I'm so careless, I didn't even know our baby had arrived."

Chi Moqing's forehead pressed against Yan Zuozuo's, so intimately close they didn't know what to say. After a while, he suddenly asked, "How did you fall?"

"It's nothing, just an accident..."

"What do you mean 'accidentally'? I think that woman was trying to murder you!" Before Yan Zuozuo could finish speaking, Fu Zixin pushed the door open and came in. Thinking of the terrifying scene earlier, she was still shaken. "If you hadn't dodged quickly, that car would have hit you. I think that woman wanted nothing more than to run you over."

Chi Moqing frowned and looked at Yan Zuozuo, "What woman?"

Chi Moqing stared at her for a long while, and finally said with a gloomy expression, "Cai Qingqing!"

Yan Zuozuo nodded. Just when she was in excruciating pain, she saw Cai Qingqing's head pop out of the car window, glance at her, and look very smug.

"Damn woman!" Chi Moqing clenched his fists, a cold glint flashing in his eyes.

"It's alright, I'm fine. I'm pregnant now, so I need to accumulate good karma for the baby." She smiled and reached out to comb Chi Moqing's hair. "I feel very happy right now, so I shouldn't think about unhappy things."

"A daughter is a father's sweetheart from a past life, don't you think you can't forget her?" Yan Zuozuo poked his chest playfully and complained with a pout, "If I have a daughter, I'll definitely be banished to the cold palace. I don't care, I must have a son, and then I'll banish you to the cold palace."

Chi Moqing laughed heartily, pulled her into his arms, and nibbled on her earlobe, saying, "No, my favorite person is still my little lover's mother."

The two embraced quietly, leaving Fu Zixin, who was standing to the side, speechless. "She's still here, doesn't she even consider how this single dog feels?"

Chi Moqing didn't leave the ward until Yan Zuozuo had fallen asleep. He then questioned Fu Zixin about the details of what had happened, a cold smile playing on his lips. He hadn't expected Cai Qingqing to become so ruthless after all these years.

He called his special assistant and asked him to retrieve the surveillance footage of Yan Zuozuo when the incident occurred and to make a backup of it for him. This woman, if he doesn't teach her a lesson, she'll become increasingly lawless.

In the still of the night, the doorbell rang suddenly. Cai Qingqing opened the door and saw Chi Moqing standing outside. Her face lit up with joy, and a charming smile immediately spread across her face. "Moqing..."

Chi Moqing stared coldly at her, his eyes filled with icy malice. "Cai Qingqing, this is my last warning to you. If I find out you've hurt Zuo Zuo again, don't blame me for being impolite!"

Cai Qingqing's smile froze. She looked up at him, her face full of sadness. "You actually framed me for another woman?"

Chi Moqing stared coldly at her tearful face, his expression growing increasingly grim. "I framed you?" he said, throwing the box at her forcefully. "Take it and see for yourself! If it weren't for your father's sake, you'd be in the police station by now!"

Cai Qingqing clenched her fist, staring at Chi Moqing's face with an air of self-righteousness, "So what if it's me? She's too stupid to dodge, she won't die from a fall."

"Cai Qingqing!" Chi Moqing sneered, suddenly regretting keeping her by his side back then because she looked like Yan Zuozuo. This woman was a venomous snake, willing to do anything to achieve her goals. "Very well, then just wait and see!"

After saying that, Chi Moqing turned to leave, but Cai Qingqing suddenly rushed over and hugged her. "Moqing, don't go. I did all this because I love you. I know I was wrong. Please come back to me. I'll do anything you say as long as you come back."

Chi Moqing shoved her away in disgust, saying expressionlessly, "Do you think I would want a woman with such a vicious heart as you?"

Cai Qingqing's body suddenly stiffened, staring fixedly at Chi Moqing, her long nails digging into her flesh without her realizing it. "I'm vicious? Then why don't you think about who I became like this for! Even if I am vicious, it's all because of you, because of you, Chi Moqing! You have no right to say that to me!"

Chi Moqing sneered, and after a long while, he slowly spoke, "Cai Qingqing, you've shown me what true shamelessness is!" After saying that, he turned and left without looking back.

When Yan Zuozuo woke up again in the hospital room, it was already ten o'clock the next day. She opened her eyes groggily and saw Chi Moqing sitting on the sofa next to her, handling official business. She frowned slightly, struggled to sit up, and wanted to reach for a cup to drink water, but accidentally pulled on her arm that she had injured the day before, and couldn't help but cry out in pain.

Hearing the sound, Chi Moqing quickly put down his documents and went over, carefully helping her to sit up and handing her a water glass. "Why didn't you call me? Can you move around like this in your body?"

"How can you not be delicate? You're my wife, so I have to treat you with utmost care and tenderness." After watching her finish drinking the water, Chi Moqing took a tissue to wipe her mouth and asked, "Are you hungry? I bought some porridge, it's still in the thermos."

Yan Zuozuo nodded: "I am indeed a little hungry."

Chi Moqing poured porridge from the thermos and fed her while blowing on it to keep it warm. Yan Zuozuo thought this man was incredibly good at spoiling women; marrying him was like living in paradise.

She drank the porridge he fed her, feeling a warm glow in her heart, a smile spreading across her rosy cheeks. She looked up at him, "Have you eaten?"

"I just ate... Be careful, it's hot." Chi Moqing spooned the food into her mouth, but Yan Zuozuo didn't believe him. "You're lying, you didn't eat anything, right?"

Chi Moqing picked up the basin of water and poured it into the bathroom. When he came out, he laughed and said, "You've already been spoiled? I haven't even spoiled you with all my might yet."

"President Chi, that's enough." Yan Zuozuo chuckled, glanced at the documents he was working on, and looked up at him, asking, "Aren't you going to work? I'm really free." She knew he was very busy lately and didn't want to disturb his work.

"Taking care of you and the baby is my most important job." Chi Moqing walked over and kissed her. "What do you want to eat for lunch?"

Yan Zuozuo shook her head and moved to let him sit down. "Anything is fine. I'm not picky about food yet."

"This is really difficult for me." Chi Moqing lay down beside her, holding her in his arms, stroking her lower abdomen with one hand. He couldn't help but smile when he thought about their child living here.

Yan Zuozuo leaned against his chest, listening to his steady heartbeat, and found a comfortable position to nestle in. "Mo Qing, let's not tell Mom and Dad about this yet. Let's tell them after we're discharged from the hospital, so they won't worry."

Chi Moqing nodded. It wasn't that he was concerned about what everyone was worried about. Rather, the doctor had instructed her to have some peace and quiet for the next few days. If everyone found out and came all at once, she wouldn't be able to get enough rest.
