She hailed a taxi and then texted Chi Moqing, telling him he didn't need to pick her up. But Chi Moqing still didn't respond, and Yan Zuozuo grew increasingly worried. She paid the fare and rushed home, but Chi Moqing wasn't home. The tea in her cup was still warm, as if he hadn't been gone long.

Suddenly, she paused, remembering Lu Yaoyuan. Could they be together? But Lu Yaoyuan said he had just called Chi Moqing, but he hadn't answered.

Yan Zuozuo panicked even more now, not knowing where to go to look for someone. She paced back and forth in the living room, restless and uneasy.

Suddenly, the door opened, and Chi Moqing returned, looking exhausted. She quickly went over and called out to him anxiously, "Husband?"

Yan Zuozuo nodded: "Where did you go just now? You didn't answer the phone. I was so scared."

They found Cai Qingqing on their rooftop, and she, as always, insisted on returning to him. Chi Moqing refused, threatening to jump. Cai Yaren begged him to temporarily agree to calm Cai Qingqing down, but he refused.

Cai Qingqing walked frantically towards the edge of the rooftop, glaring at him hatefully. "If you don't agree, I'll jump off here today. If I can't live well, I won't let you live well either!"

Chi Moqing looked at her coldly: "You chose to end your own life, so why should I be unhappy? Your death will only make your parents sad; what does it have to do with anyone else?"

"Ha! Others? Chi Moqing, how can you be so cold-hearted? I've loved you for over ten years, how can you be so cruel to me?" Cai Qingqing was emotionally distraught, getting closer and closer to the edge of the roof.

Chi Moqing simply looked at her indifferently: "If you think dying will get you what you want, then go ahead. I have to go back to pick up my wife; I don't have time to waste here with your madness. But before you die, you'd better see your parents and how much they love and care about you." With that, he turned and left.

"Chi Moqing, don't leave! If you leave here, I'll jump off this cliff, I mean it!"

Chi Moqing ignored her and continued walking forward. Behind him, Cai Qingqing's screams echoed, and even Cai Yaren was pleading with him. But Chi Moqing remained unmoved and walked straight out of the rooftop.

The moment he left, Cai Qingqing broke down in tears, showing no signs of intending to jump. He only left after watching Cai Yaren carry Cai Qingqing down. He felt no pity for Cai Qingqing's madness, simply thinking it was unreasonable. Call him cold-blooded or heartless, she was never a woman he cared about, and he didn't believe he had ever given her the illusion that they should be together. It was her stubbornness that made him feel he shouldn't have to pay for her mistakes.

He's a decisive person; if he loves, he loves deeply, or he doesn't love at all. No amount of threats works on him.

Yan Zuozuo stared at him blankly: "So, Cai Qingqing is alright now?"

"How could someone who loves herself so much possibly jump off a building?" Chi Moqing sneered. After a whole night of turmoil, he was exhausted and lay listlessly on the sofa, closing his eyes to rest.

Yan Zuozuo got up and went behind him to massage him. She couldn't understand why Cai Qingqing would suddenly do this; was today a special holiday?

Chi Moqing held her hand and smiled wearily, "Today is her birthday."

Yan Zuozuo understood: "She invited you to her birthday party before, and you refused?"

Chi Moqing looked at her quietly, a smile in his eyes, "My wife is getting smarter and smarter."

Yan Zuozuo's lips twitched. Such a simple principle, you can easily deduce it, right?

She pinched his head and said, "Go take a shower. You've been busy all night and haven't eaten yet, have you? I'll cook you some noodles."

Chi Moqing was indeed tired, so he took his clothes and headed to the bathroom. When he came out, Yan Zuozuo had already cooked noodles and placed them on the table. It was a large bowl, sprinkled with scallions and minced meat, and had a poached egg on top. It smelled delicious.

The next day, the company officially formed a three-person team, and Yan Zuozuo was smoothly selected as one of them. After get off work, Chi Moqing came to pick her up, and they happened to run into the CEO. The CEO pulled Chi Moqing aside and chatted for a long time. If Chi Moqing hadn't politely said he had something to do, the CEO probably wouldn't have let her go. Even after their car had completely disappeared from the CEO's sight, he was still standing there without moving.

Yan Zuozuo said with a hint of sarcasm, "The CEO is really patient."

Chi Moqing chuckled softly, first taking Yan Zuozuo to eat, then going home to get his suitcase and heading straight to the villa. The villa had a two-story design, purely European in style, and was incredibly beautiful from the outside.

Yan Zuozuo opened the door and went inside. The room was pitch black. Not only did she not smell any strange odor, but there was even a faint, pleasant fragrance. She reached out and turned on the light, and the layout of the entire living room instantly came into view. Compared to the empty house she visited last time, this time it was fully furnished, making it seem even more luxurious and extravagant.

The off-white sofa, the light pink curtains, the solid wood red TV cabinet, and especially the beautiful coffee table in front of her. Yan Zuozuo walked straight to the balcony and was quickly attracted by the beautiful plants there. Next to them was a set of recliners and a tea table. Lying there, basking in the sunlight, just thinking about it made her feel comfortable.

Yan Zuozuo pushed open the door to their bedroom. A huge bed, with a padded headboard, greeted her. She couldn't help but lie down and let out a comfortable sigh. Chi Moqing lay down beside her, rolled over, and pulled her into his arms. "Do you like it?"

Yan Zuozuo nodded vigorously: "I love it so much." She reached out and glanced at the alarm clock on the bedside table. Even such a small thing had been prepared, and it was so cute.

She thrashed about a few times and quickly jumped onto the sofa by the window. Looking out, she saw a lush garden with artificial hills, fountains, pavilions, and a stream. Living here must be a very pleasant experience.

Chi Moqing sat down beside her, pulling her onto his lap. "Is there anything you're not satisfied with, or anything missing? I'll have someone add it." He played with a strand of her hair, chuckling softly.

“It’s perfect. I’ve never imagined I’d live in a mansion like this before.” Yan Zuozuo said shyly, leaning against him. Suddenly, she got excited. “How about we have a drink to celebrate our housewarming?”

"Good idea." Chi Moqing walked to the wine cabinet, took out two stemmed glasses, and poured red wine into each. Yan Zuozuo casually picked up a glass and swirled it in front of her, looking like she was studying it very carefully.

Chi Moqing waited for her evaluation, but to her surprise, she chuckled and said, "Giving me this would be a waste anyway, since I don't know anything about it."

Chi Moqing smiled indulgently: "It doesn't matter if you don't understand, the important thing is that you've tasted it."

Yan Zuozuo tilted her head and thought for a moment, then agreed. "Okay, cheers to the housewarming!" She gulped it down in one go, followed by a fit of coughing. "It tastes awful... cough cough... how could anyone like this stuff? It's so awful... cough cough..."

Chi Moqing pulled her into his arms and gently patted her back. "This wine should be savored slowly. Nobody drinks it all in one go like you."

"You didn't remind me." She choked until tears streamed down her face, which turned bright red. She reached out to push him away, but Chi Moqing only hugged her tighter. Perhaps it was because of the alcohol, but she couldn't muster any strength at all, letting him hold her as they gazed into each other's eyes, the ambiguous atmosphere growing stronger with each passing year.

Chi Moqing couldn't resist leaning in to kiss her. Yan Zuozuo felt as if she were being seduced, her heart pounding wildly. She couldn't help but lick her lips, feeling that Chi Moqing was an alluring enchantress tempting one to commit a crime.

“Honey, I think housewarming shouldn’t be celebrated in such a simple way. How about we celebrate in a different way?” His tall and imposing figure pressed her slender body against the wall, and he raised her hands, touching her nose to hers.

Yan Zuozuo stared at him blankly, her face flushed, "How do you want to celebrate?"

The air grew hotter and hotter, and the dim lighting made the atmosphere between them ambiguous and passionate.

Chi Moqing kissed her forehead, eyebrows, nose, and then her delicate lips, one kiss at a time. Then, he traced her chin, teasingly nibbling at her earlobe, and said in a low, sensual voice, "For example, like this, like this, like this..."

The next morning, Yan Zuozuo was woken up by a ringing phone. She was startled and just as she was about to get up, Chi Moqing pulled her back down by his arm around her waist. "Go back to sleep, it's your phone."

He reached for the phone on the bedside table, about to speak, when he heard his mother's loud voice coming from the other end, "Son, aren't you home? I've been ringing the doorbell for ages and no one's answered."

"Oh, we moved yesterday," Chi Moqing said calmly, only to hear a burst of anger on the other end of the phone.
