Exclusive Pampered Wife: My Wife Came to My Door

Chapter 54 President Chi's Romance

Chi Moqing snorted coldly: "Are you still planning to take advantage of the situation and launch an offensive?"

Lu Yaoyuan touched his nose and chuckled dryly, saying, "I was just kidding, don't take it seriously, don't take it seriously." He immediately moved to Chi Ran's side and said in a coquettish and cute manner, "Just joking with my little sister-in-law, hehe."

Chi Ran raised an eyebrow, a half-smile on her face, and said, "You'd better tell me, otherwise..." She glanced sideways at the man's manhood, "tsk tsk, who knows if this thing will be able to stay in the future."

Lu Yaoyuan immediately covered his penis, inwardly cursing himself for being stupid. He must have been crazy to tell Chi Moqing everything, and now he was being threatened by him. He had really miscalculated.

Mother Chi brought out the dishes and said, "It's time to eat. Go wash your hands." The children, like children, obediently went to wash their hands.

During the meal, Lu Yaoyuan wanted to have a drink with Chi Moqing, but he refused, saying, "My wife said I'm not allowed to drink alcohol."

Lu Yaoyuan was completely dumbfounded: "When did you become a henpecked husband?" He clicked his tongue twice and deliberately rubbed his arms.

Chi Moqing glanced at him, said nothing, and put some food into Yan Zuozuo's bowl.

Lu Yaoyuan objected again: "Isn't this a bit too cheesy? Can't people even eat?" He, Chi Moqing, and Chi Ran were childhood sweethearts, and they had always treated the Chi family as their own since they were young, without any restraint.

Chi Moqing glared at him: "If you don't want to eat, fine, but don't spoil other people's appetites."

"Godmother!" Lu Yaoyuan complained to Chi's mother, feeling indignant.

Chi's mother chuckled: "It's right to feel sorry for your wife. After you marry Chi Ran, you must cherish her and not bully her, understand?"

"Of course!" Lu Yaoyuan immediately changed to a fawning expression, put an arm around Chi Ran's shoulder, and chuckled.

Chi Ran rolled her eyes and slapped his hand away. "Who wants to marry you? Stop being disgusting."

"I'll disgust you, I'll disgust you, I'll disgust you for the rest of my life."

Yan Zuozuo smiled and glanced at Chi Moqing. Chi Moqing smiled back at her, then leaned close to her ear and whispered, "Now you see what's going on between them, right?"

Yan Zuozuo just smiled and didn't say anything; they really were a cute pair of bickering lovers.

After dinner, the group sat on the sofa watching TV. Yan Zuozuo took a piece of fruit to eat, and Chi Moqing turned to her and said, "I want some."

Yan Zuozuo assumed he wanted to eat an orange, so she gave him another segment. Chi Moqing shook his head and pointed to the orange she had half-eaten.

Yan Zuozuo was taken aback: "You want me to feed you?"

Good heavens, can he please control himself? There are other people here. Isn't it inappropriate to show affection like this?

Chi Moqing smiled but remained silent, opening his mouth to wait for her to feed him.

Yan Zuozuo blushed shamefully and could only feed him the half-eaten orange she had eaten. Seeing his satisfied expression, she was both amused and annoyed, and whispered, "Stop fooling around, there are people watching here."

“They’re all air,” Chi Moqing said matter-of-factly, pointing to the apples in the fruit plate. “I want to eat that.”

Yan Zuozuo felt like she was going to faint. This was no longer the cold and wise CEO Chi; he was just a child. She fed the apple to Chi Moqing and gave him a playful glare, "Chi Moqing, you're getting more and more wicked."

Chi Moqing didn't speak, but leaned his head against Yan Zuozuo, smiling contentedly.

"Tsk tsk, Chi Moqing, can you stop being so childish?" Lu Yaoyuan looked at him with disdain.

Chi Moqing ignored him and continued to linger next to Yan Zuozuo. He was reading a book, while Yan Zuozuo was watching TV and occasionally discussing the content of the TV series with Chi Ran.

Lu Yuanyuan felt frustrated and annoyed that no one paid him any attention; he was resentful. So he turned to Yan Zuozuo and said, "Hey, sister-in-law, I'm planning to start my own clothing brand in my spare time. Are you interested in collaborating with me?"

Upon hearing this, Yan Zuozuo was taken aback and subconsciously looked at Chi Moqing.

Chi Moqing smiled and said calmly, "I was just thinking of talking to you about this. Let's go outside and talk."

Now it was Lu Yaoyuan's turn to be puzzled, following behind Chi Moqing into the courtyard. Chi Moqing wanted to acquire Fan Hua Design, but they lacked a leader.

“I’ll give you 50 percent of the shares. You can choose to create your own brand or continue with Fan Hua Construction. As for the funding, the Chi family will take full responsibility.”

Lu Yuanyao was stunned: "Is this still the Chi Moqing I know? He's actually doing a losing business. Oh my, don't tell me it's all for your wife."

Chi Moqing smiled but remained silent, while Lu Yaoyuan looked defeated. "You've spoiled your wife to the point of being incurable. Fine, I agree. Anyway, I need funds to start my own brand. As for the acquisition, you'll have to figure that out yourself. I'll only be responsible for the operation from now on."

"Deal," Chi Moqing said with a smile.

Lu Yaoyuan had already revealed to him his intention to break away from the Lu family and go it alone before returning to China, and this was the perfect opportunity. With Lu Yaoyuan in charge, he didn't need to worry about Yan Zuozuo being bullied.

Speaking of Lu Yaoyuan, he was actually born to Lu's father and another woman. Later, that woman died of cancer, and Lu Yaoyuan was brought back to the Lu family. Madam Lu and Lu Zhitu treated him well, but he always kept his distance, feeling like an outsider and always thinking about leaving the Lu family to work independently. They were quite in agreement on this matter.

Back at the apartment that evening, Yan Zuozuo took a shower and lay in bed watching the latest fashion show. Chi Moqing sat beside her with his work in hand. He found himself increasingly enjoying being around her. It was as if her presence brought him peace.

Yan Zuozuo tilted her head to look at him: "Why aren't you in the study?"

Chi Moqing smiled and said, "I enjoy working with you."

Yan Zuozuo chuckled, leaning against him as she continued flipping through the magazine in her hands. She didn't know how much time had passed before she drifted off to sleep.

The next morning, when Chi Moqing woke up, Yan Zuozuo was not beside him. He followed the scent out and saw that she had already prepared breakfast. When she saw him come out, she smiled at him and said, "Go brush your teeth and wash your face, it's time to eat."

Instead of heading towards the bathroom, Chi Moqing walked towards her with a smile on his face, "Wife, you are so virtuous."

Yan Zuozuo raised an eyebrow: "You have such a sweet tongue. I'll fry you an extra egg for breakfast."

Chi Moqing pulled her into his arms, rested his head on her shoulder, and whispered, "Wife, I feel so happy."

"Hmm, I feel very happy too." Yan Zuozuo turned around and kissed him on the cheek.

Chi Moqing smiled but remained silent, tightening his embrace and whispering, "Wife, I feel so sorry for you."

This time, Yan Zuozuo finally got serious. She turned around and stared at him intently, her brows slightly furrowed. "What did you do to betray me? Did you cheat on me physically or emotionally? Confess honestly."

Seeing her feigning anger, Chi Moqing chuckled softly. Yan Zuozuo was dissatisfied. "Hmph, I'm serious. You'd better confess quickly, or maybe I'll forgive you. Tell me now."

Unable to contain his excitement, Chi Moqing lowered his head and kissed her lips. Yan Zuozuo playfully punched him a few times, but quickly became immersed in his kiss. She could clearly feel that the beast had actually become aroused.

She glared at him, pushed him away, turned around and placed breakfast on the table. "Go brush your teeth and wash your face."

Chi Moqing wasn't annoyed and obediently walked towards the bathroom. A smile played on his lips as he wondered if it was time to give her the ring at the right moment. Hmm, a surprise might be worth considering.

At the company, Yan Zuozuo stared dumbfounded at the bouquet of flowers that had been delivered just minutes earlier. She remained stunned for a long time, unable to come to her senses. When Chi Moqing drove her to work earlier, he said he had a surprise for her today, but before she could ask him what it was, he left.

She looked at the enormous bouquet of roses, both amused and exasperated. They'd been married for so long; what had gotten into him to suddenly think of giving her roses? She stroked the flowers, feeling both awkward and happy.

A colleague came over and looked at her enviously, "What beautiful flowers! Zuo Zuo, a new suitor?"

Yan Zuozuo shook her head and smiled faintly, "My husband." Gently stroking the delicate petals, she realized it was the first time she had received such a large bouquet. In the past, because Qi Jiahui's financial situation was limited, he would only give her a single flower on Valentine's Day. This kind of romance was truly a first for her.

A slight smile played on her lips, but she paused when she touched one of the flowers. It felt hard inside, as if something was hidden there.

She reached out and opened the flower bud, revealing a dazzling ring. The more she looked at it, the more familiar it seemed; it was the very same ring she had designed before. Could it be that the person who commissioned the ring was Chi Moqing?

She stared blankly, a corner of her heart filled with emotion. Just then, Chi Moqing's phone rang. Yan Zuozuo pressed the answer button and heard his pleasant voice come through, "Did you receive the flowers?"

"Received." Yan Zuozuo said, only to realize that her voice was hoarse from nervousness.

Chi Moqing seemed to notice her unusual expression, and a faint smile slowly appeared on his lips. "What's wrong with your throat? Is it uncomfortable?"

Yan Zuozuo shook her head, then remembered that he couldn't see. She sniffed and said, "No, I'm just very touched."

"Because of that bouquet of flowers?" Chi Moqing asked tentatively.

“And… the ring…” Yan Zuozuo stared at the sparkling ring on her hand and said coquettishly, “You didn’t tell me before, I, I…” She pursed her lips, her voice trembling with emotion.

Chi Moqing laughed: "Telling you is still a surprise?" He paused, then said elegantly, "Miss Yan, are you free tonight? Mr. Chi would like to invite you to dinner."

Yan Zuozuo chuckled, her eyes glistening with tears. "A candlelight dinner?"

"Of course, Mr. Chi also wants to ask you if you would be willing to let him personally put a wedding ring on your finger, representing a lifelong commitment."

Yan Zuozuo smiled and said, "Wedding rings are a pair; there's no such thing as a single ring."

"So, the one in your hand belongs to Mr. Chi, and the one that belongs to you is temporarily treasured in Mr. Chi's heart."

Yan Zuozuo was taken aback, then put the shoe on her hand and found it was indeed much bigger.

"Since Miss Yan has not refused, then Mr. Chi will pick you up from get off work tonight and then we can have a candlelight dinner together."

Yan Zuozuo agreed, and the two chatted for a while longer before ending the call.

When Yan Zuozuo was waiting for the elevator after get off work in the afternoon, she saw Cai Keren walking over, her face full of jealous sneers. "Trying to treat everyone and sending flowers, Yan Zuozuo, are you showing off how well you married?"

Ever since Cai Keren repeatedly provoked her, Yan Zuozuo no longer treated her as a colleague. She ignored her and couldn't be bothered to talk to her; talking to someone like that was a waste of breath.

"It's pretty good. With your background and status, being able to marry the president of a big conglomerate and become a president's wife is something you should be proud to show off." Cai Keren's tone was incredibly sour, and the way she looked at Yan Zuozuo was as if she wanted to kill her.

Yan Zuozuo calmly met her jealous eyes: "Aren't you tired of living in jealousy and attacks on others all day long?"

Upon hearing this, Cai Keren's expression changed, and she gritted her teeth and said, "What are you pretending to be so high and mighty for? If you really want to be high and mighty, then don't flaunt how happy you are in the company. It will only make people think you're hypocritical."

Yan Zuozuo looked at her with pity in her eyes: "I'm already very happy, I don't need to show off. Only someone like you would think that way." Just then, the elevator arrived, and she went in. All the way downstairs, she didn't look at Cai Keren even once.
