Yan Zuozuo returned to her seat and stared at the blueprints on the computer without moving.

Knock knock knock!

A rhythmic voice rang out, startling her. Just then, she saw the design director standing in front of her desk. "Come in here for a moment."

Yan Zuozuo followed behind him anxiously.

In the office, the design director gestured for her to sit down and poured her a glass of water. "The company will definitely investigate this incident thoroughly. It won't just be about giving you an explanation; it will also be time for the company to clean up its personnel."

Yan Zuozuo was taken aback: "Director, do you mean you believe I didn't do this?"

"I mentored you myself, and I trust your character. Go back to what you were doing and don't let this affect your work."

"But the company told me to put my current work on hold..."

"That's something the CEO had no choice but to do. Just focus on your work. There will be a staff reshuffle soon, and there's a promotion opportunity in our department. I think you're a good candidate."

Yan Zuozuo was taken aback: "Could this be related to a promotion?"

The design director smiled and said, "There are always people who get the news first; it's not impossible. Okay, you can go back to work. The company will handle the investigation, so don't worry."

Yan Zuozuo got up and left. If it really was related to a promotion, she would be an innocent victim. Her interest was design, and she had never thought about promotion.

Just before I was about to leave work, Chi Moqing called and said, "I'll be waiting for you downstairs in ten minutes. Let's go to the mall together."

"Go to the mall?" Yan Zuozuo was taken aback.

Chi Moqing smiled and said, "Even though it's a meeting between the parents of both sides, we can't come empty-handed."

Yan Zuozuo then realized that she had actually forgotten about this matter, and quickly nodded, "I'll go down right away."

She paused for a moment, then remembered that today was the first time she would formally meet her in-laws, and she couldn't just wear this outfit, could she?

She said, "Could I go home first? I need to change my clothes."

Chi Moqing chuckled: "No need, we can just take a stroll around the boutique later."

Yan Zuozuo was dumbfounded; he really was a rich man.

After packing her things, Yan Zuozuo headed for the elevator. Unexpectedly, she saw the person she least wanted to see at the elevator entrance. She turned around, intending to turn back and come back later. But then, Qi Jiahui called out to her.

Yan Zuozuo paused, looking at him indifferently, "Vice Chairman Qi, is there something you need?"

"Zuo Zuo." Qi Jia Hui looked at her, as if he had a thousand words to say.

For four years, he had seen and remembered everything Yan Zuozuo had done for him. Similarly, his love for her was no less than anyone else's, but he cared more about his future. Realizing that she had lost control of her emotions, Yan Zuozuo explained guiltily, "Mom just called to urge us to leave, let's hurry up."
