The three men standing to the side were still trying to deny it, saying that they really hadn't seen any girl, that they were just passing through on their way back to the village, and that the people they were looking for hadn't seen her.

The next second, when Mo Ze carried Shen Nian out of the van, the three of them were dumbfounded.

Moze glanced coldly at the three people and said to Q, "You guys handle this. I'll go to the hospital first and find the driver."

"Yes, Second Master."

Q and the others all looked at the person in Mo Ze's arms, very curious about what kind of woman had won over their Second Master. After all these years, they had never seen a woman by their Second Master's side!

Now that not only has it appeared, but even Second Master himself has come forward to carry it away, it's practically big news in their organization!

Rumor has it that the Second Master is indifferent to women and has no interest in any woman. Isn't this a complete slap in the face? I really want to secretly take a picture and share it with everyone.

Mo Ze carried Shen Nian into his car and drove straight to the hospital.

Shen Nian lay on the back seat with her eyes closed and her brows furrowed deeply, seemingly very uneasy.

Mo Ze gripped the steering wheel tighter and tighter, but still tried to keep the car moving slowly. He had checked Shen Nian when he put her in the car. There were no external injuries, except for abrasions where the ropes were tied around her hands and feet. She was just very weak and must have suffered a lot these past two days.

He felt a pang of pain in his heart and even began to blame himself, thinking that he hadn't done a good job. Perhaps he shouldn't have asked her to come to him; she might have stayed home for dinner and wouldn't have run into the kidnapper.

After taking Shen Nian to the hospital, Mo Ze immediately completed the admission procedures. After a thorough examination, the doctor treated the wounds on her wrists and ankles and started an IV drip. Apart from these two external injuries, there were no other injuries. However, she hadn't eaten or drunk anything for almost two days and two nights, and she had previously had a high fever, so she was now completely dehydrated, which was quite dangerous.

As Mo Ze listened to the doctor's description, his heart felt like it was being squeezed.

After the doctor finished the examination and the nurse finished hanging up the IV drip and left, only Mo Ze and Shen Nian remained in the ward. Mo Ze sat on the chair by the bed, watching over her with eyes full of tenderness.

He didn't sleep all night, just kept watch. Shen Nian didn't wake up for a while. Just before dawn, Mo Ze received a call from Q saying that the driver who kidnapped Shen Nian had been found and that they had locked her up.

After Shen Nian was found, Mo Ze contacted the police station to say that she had been found. He didn't go into details because he had to handle the matter personally.

The police were also looking for the driver who stole the taxi and kidnapped Shen Nian, unaware that Mo Ze had already caught him first.

"I'll go over there in a bit," Mo Ze said softly to Q on the other end of his phone, standing by the window of the ward.

"Understood, Second Master."

After hanging up the phone, Mo Ze stared out the window with sharp eyes, lost in thought. Only when he heard a soft groan behind him did he turn around and stride to the bedside.

"Niannian, are you awake? How are you feeling?"

Shen Nian moved her eyelids and slowly opened her eyes, immediately seeing Mo Ze's handsome face so close to hers.

She smiled and called softly, "Uncle, is that you? Am I dreaming?"

The night she had a high fever, she dreamt of Moze, dreamt that he came to find her and said he would take her home. When she woke up, she vaguely saw that it was that dilapidated house, and she was still tied to the cold cement floor. So now, she thinks she is still dreaming, and when she wakes up, she faces despair alone.

Moze immediately took her hand and replied softly, "It's not a dream, it's me."

Feeling the warmth from Mo Ze's palm, Shen Nian was stunned for a few seconds before realizing that it really was the uncle. Her eyes darted around, and she realized she was no longer in that dilapidated shack or in that van.

"Where am I?" she asked softly, seemingly in disbelief.

"Don't worry, you're at the hospital. Everything's alright," Mo Ze said, gently stroking her hand to comfort her.

Thankfully, nothing serious happened, and thankfully he found her.

Hearing Mo Ze's words, Shen Nian seemed to completely relax and softly replied, "Mmm~"

After waking up, Mo Ze had someone bring over some porridge. Shen Nian ate a small half bowl and then fell asleep again.

Moze instructed the doctors and nurses to take care of him, since it was a VIP ward and the nurses were on a one-on-one basis, before he left the hospital with peace of mind. Q sent him the address; he was being held captive on a private cruise ship, temporarily docked at the pier in the north of the city.

Moze drove from the hospital to the pier, arriving when it was already completely dark. Two people were standing by the pier, and as soon as Moze arrived, one of them led him onto the cruise ship.

"Second Master, this way please."

Moze nodded slightly, his black suit blending seamlessly into the night, exuding an air of nobility and mystery that was impossible to ignore.

Once aboard the cruise ship, Q greeted him, "Second Brother, please come with me." He then led Moze to the bottom of the cabin on the lower level.

In the innermost room, the door opened to reveal a sleazy-looking man huddled in the corner, seemingly terrified. Hearing the door open, he looked up, saw the light streaming in, and, thinking it was a glimmer of hope, cried out, "Let me go! Let me go! You've got the wrong person!"

Moze looked at Q, who immediately explained, "They were caught and locked up for a few hours, and this is how they are."

Moze looked at the person in front of him and snorted coldly.

The reason Chen Tao was so terrified was because when Q and his men came to capture him, he saw the guns they were carrying. He'd never seen a real gun before; while he'd done his fair share of petty theft, he'd never actually killed anyone. His decision to kidnap Shen Nian was solely for his daughter's sake, a risk he was willing to take.

Q shot and killed a wild rabbit right in front of him, and he was so scared he peed his pants.

Only then did I realize that they were holding real guns.

Moreover, they were clearly not ordinary people. Chen Tao thought he couldn't possibly have offended such individuals, so he kept shouting that they had arrested the wrong person and wanted Q and the others to release him.

He was unaware that the three people who bought Shen Nian had already been cornered and had come out long ago.

In his eyes, Shen Nian was nothing more than someone abandoned by the Shen family. Even if she couldn't be found, Shen Guoqiang certainly wouldn't care, much less call the police. After all, Lu Jiao had said that if he took her away, she would just drag things out and would never call the police.

Chen Tao absolutely refused to connect his sudden arrest with his kidnapping of Shen Nian.

I thought it was just bad luck on my part!
