Shocking Secrets of the Celestial Realm
Chapter 6 Clue Interpretation
Jasmine held the box given to her by the mysterious creature, her gaze fixed on the fragment emitting an eerie light. Her mind raced, recalling the vague accounts in ancient texts about the connection between the bead fragment and the mysteries of the human body. She took a deep breath, slowly closed her eyes, and activated her powerful microscopic energy perception, attempting to establish a connection with the runes on the fragment.
In an instant, a surge of information flooded into her consciousness like a tidal wave. Jasmine's body trembled slightly, and fine beads of sweat appeared on her forehead. Lin Qing, Ye Lan, and Qin Feng stood to the side, their faces full of worry, yet they dared not utter a sound to disturb her.
After a long while, Jasmine slowly opened her eyes, her expression filled with a mixture of shock and excitement: "We've deciphered part of the text in the ancient book. This Spirit Forest is far more mysterious than we imagined. It seems to hold the key to unlocking the mysteries of the human body!"
Lin Qing frowned, his expression grave: "But this forest is fraught with danger. The magical beasts we encountered before were just the tip of the iceberg. Venturing deeper rashly might..."
“But we have no way out,” Jasmine interrupted him, her tone resolute. “The blood feud of our families, and the secrets of the human body that concern the entire Spirit Illusion Continent, are all in this forest. We must go.”
Ye Lan nodded gently, her jade flute swaying lightly in her hand: "Jasmine is right. Moreover, with the four of us working together and with these mysterious powers, we might just be able to make a breakthrough."
Qin Feng grinned and said, "What's there to be afraid of? With my spatial power, it'll definitely come in handy at crucial moments!"
So, the four packed their belongings and, filled with nervousness and anticipation, stepped once again into the depths of the Enchanted Forest. The fog grew thicker, and the surroundings were eerily quiet, with only occasional low growls of unknown origin that sent chills down their spines.
As they walked, a huge stone forest suddenly appeared ahead. These stones were strangely shaped, some like towering pillars, others like menacing monsters, and their surfaces shimmered with an odd luster.
"Be careful, something's wrong with these stones." Lin Qing drew his longsword first and looked around warily.
Just as Jasmine was about to speak, a powerful suction suddenly emanated from the stone forest, pulling the four of them in before they could react. After a dizzying spin, they found themselves in a huge stone chamber, the walls of which were covered with runes similar to those they had seen in ancient books and ruins.
"Where is this?" Qin Feng stood up unsteadily and looked around.
Before everyone could react, the runes on the wall suddenly lit up, and beams of light shot out, trapping the four of them in different light shields.
"Oh no, we've fallen into their trap!" Jasmine frantically tried to break through the light barrier by circulating her micro-energy, but to no avail.
At that moment, an ethereal voice echoed in the stone chamber: "If you want to leave, solve the riddles on the walls. If you answer incorrectly, you will be stuck here forever."
Everyone looked up and saw intricate patterns and characters appearing on the wall, seemingly telling an ancient story. Jasmine suppressed her fear and focused on deciphering these clues.
“I think I understand now. These patterns and words tell the story of the origin of the Spirit Forest and its initial connection to the mysteries of the human body,” Jasmine said loudly. “Look, everyone, this pattern represents the chaotic power at the beginning of the world, and this power seems to be the root of the mysteries of the human body.”
Lin Qing also observed carefully: "Do these lines represent the flow of energy? Flowing from the Spirit Forest into the human body, and then feeding back from the human body?"
Ye Lan's eyes lit up: "That's right, and according to what's mentioned in the ancient books, the key to this might be the fragment of the bead we've been searching for."
Just as they were having a heated discussion, Qin Feng suddenly noticed a detail: "Wait, look at the arrangement of these runes. It's very similar to the sequence of the mechanisms we solved in the ruins before."
Inspired by Qin Feng, Jasmine quickly drew upon her memories, combining her previous experiences with the puzzle before her. She reached out and touched the runes on the wall in a specific order; as she moved, the power of the light barrier seemed to weaken slightly.
"Keep going, this is the order!" Jasmine shouted excitedly. Everyone worked together, following Jasmine's instructions, to decipher the clues and touch the runes.
Finally, as the last rune was activated, the light barrier shattered, and the four regained their freedom. However, before they could even breathe a sigh of relief, a violent tremor suddenly erupted within the stone chamber.
"Oh no, this stone chamber is about to collapse!" Lin Qing shouted.
Qin Feng immediately opened a spatial rift: "Quick, get out of here!" The four of them jumped into the spatial rift one after another and successfully escaped just before the stone chamber collapsed.
They found themselves beside a tranquil lake, its crystal-clear waters reflecting the lush trees and the strange sky. But everyone knew that this seemingly peaceful place concealed a hidden danger.
“Let’s keep going,” Jasmine said. “According to the clues in the ancient book, there should be other clues about the fragments of the bead nearby.”
The four walked along the lakeside and soon discovered an ancient stone bridge. The bridge spanned a rushing river and was covered with moss and mysterious symbols.
"This bridge looks very old. Could it also be related to what we're looking for?" Ye Lan asked.
Jasmine stepped forward and carefully examined the symbols. Just as her finger touched one of the symbols, it suddenly emitted a light that resonated with the fragment of the bead in her hand.
"It's responding!" Jasmine exclaimed in surprise. As the light flickered, the symbols on the stone bridge gradually lit up, forming a new map.
"This map points to the center of the lake." Lin Qing frowned as he looked at the map. "But the river is so swift, how are we going to get across?"
Qin Feng scratched his head: "How about I try using spatial power to create a passage across the river?"
Just as Qin Feng was about to try, a huge ripple suddenly appeared in the lake, and a giant water monster leaped out of the water. This water monster was shaped like a giant python, its entire body covered with hard scales, its eyes flashing red light, and its gaping maw filled with sharp fangs.
"Watch out, it's a water demon beast!" Jasmine shouted. Everyone quickly assumed fighting stances. Lin Qing circulated his blood energy, and his longsword flashed with a sharp light; Ye Lan drew upon natural elements, and water elements gathered around her, forming ice arrows; Qin Feng opened a spatial rift, ready to launch an attack at any moment; Jasmine mobilized her microscopic energy to search for the water demon beast's weakness.
The water demon roared and pounced on them, its massive tail lashing out like a whip. Lin Qing hurriedly swung his sword to block, but was forced back by the powerful force. Ye Lan seized the opportunity to fire an ice arrow, but the water demon paid it no heed, its scales easily deflecting the attack.
"This water monster's defense is too strong!" Lin Qing exclaimed.
Jasmine frowned. Suddenly, she noticed that the water monster's eyes would briefly reveal an opening when it attacked. "Attack its eyes!" she shouted.
Upon hearing this, everyone changed their attack strategy. Qin Feng shot a spatial blade from the spatial rift, aiming directly for the water demon beast's eye; Lin Qing, on the other hand, concentrated his blood and qi power at the tip of his sword, unleashing a sword aura. The water demon beast sensed the danger and tried to dodge, but it was too late.
The spatial blade and sword energy struck the water monster's eyes simultaneously, causing it to roar in pain and writhe wildly in the water. Seizing the opportunity, the group launched an even more ferocious attack.
With everyone's combined attack, the water monster's power gradually weakened, and it finally sank helplessly to the bottom of the lake. Everyone breathed a sigh of relief and collapsed to the ground.
"It's finally resolved," Jasmine said weakly.
“But we haven’t found a way to get to the center of the lake yet,” Ye Lan said.
Just then, a mysterious light appeared on the lake, and a giant lotus leaf slowly floated towards them. Standing on the lotus leaf was an old man dressed in a green robe, with a kind smile on his face.
“You little ones, your courage is commendable.” The old man’s voice was gentle yet firm. “If you want to go to the center of the lake, then come on up.”
The four exchanged a glance, their hearts filled with doubt, but they still cautiously stepped onto the lotus leaf. The lotus leaf slowly rose, carrying them towards the center of the lake.
"Old man, who are you? Why are you helping us?" Jasmine asked.
The old man smiled slightly: "I am the guardian of this Spirit Forest, and I have been guarding it for countless years. What you are looking for concerns the fate of the Spirit Continent, and I cannot stand idly by."
As they spoke, Lotus Leaf had already arrived at the center of the lake. There stood an ancient island, upon which stood a mysterious building. The building's doors were tightly shut, exuding an air of mystery.
"The answer you seek is hidden here," the old man said, "but the dangers within are beyond your imagination. You should think carefully."
Jasmine took a deep breath and said firmly, "We are not afraid. To uncover the mysteries of the human body, and for the sake of my family, we must go in."
The old man nodded slightly: "Alright, then I wish you good luck." After saying that, the old man and the lotus leaf gradually disappeared into the lake.
The four stood before the mysterious building, their hearts filled with a mixture of tension and excitement. They knew that within might lie the key to unraveling all the mysteries, but it could also conceal deadly dangers. However, nothing could stop them from seeking the truth. They exchanged a glance and slowly walked towards the mysterious door…
