Quick Transmigration: The Villainous Female Supporting Character Became the Male Lead's Beloved

Chapter 29 The Villainous Female Supporting Character in the Apocalyptic Novel 3

The once peaceful and tranquil city was instantly covered by dark clouds, rumbled thunder, and rain washed away the bloodstains on the ground, even making the light appear reddish.

People screamed and fled for their lives, only to be pounced on by one after another of the walking corpses, and from time to time, the silent corpses would rise up.

I joined this hell on earth.

Ni Qing's face was deathly pale. Fortunately, there was nothing in her stomach, otherwise she would have vomited.

Ji Yu, who was following behind, appeared eerily quiet. From the beginning until now, he had remained expressionless, yet he always managed to "luckily" dodge each zombie that pounced on him.

The girl was wearing blood-stained overalls. Her small face was pale but delicate. She pursed her lips tightly and entered the residential area in a somewhat disheveled state.

Just to be safe, Ni Qing didn't dare walk down the stairs and wanted to take the elevator instead. The elevator stopped smoothly on the first floor; it must have been the one Ji Yu came down from. There shouldn't be any zombies in there now, right?

Her heart pounded, her excessively slender figure seemed fragile and could break at any moment, both delicate and quiet. Ji Yu glanced at her impassively, waiting for the elevator doors to open.

With a "ding," the door slowly opened.

In the corner of the elevator, a man was lying on the floor with his back to them, chewing something. He seemed to be attracted by the sound, and suddenly turned around. His hand, which was stuffed in his mouth, had been eaten down to the bone.

It roared and pounced.

Before Ni Qing could react, Ji Yu impatiently grabbed his head and slammed it against the wall without mercy. Blood splattered, and the force was so great that the elevator shook.

He glanced at the stunned Ni Qing and said with a half-smile, "Why don't you go in?"

Ni Qing snapped out of her daze and immediately crawled inside. There were still some unbearable things on the ground. She suppressed the urge to vomit and watched the young man enter leisurely.

"Why aren't you afraid?" Her tone was initially harsh, but as she became increasingly frightened, her voice softened like a lamb's, losing all its intimidating power.

Ji Yu's clear and gentle voice rang out unhurriedly: "As a doctor, I deal with corpses every day. This is nothing. There are many uglier ones."

Ni Qing then looked at him. He had a delicate and aloof appearance, with glasses perched on his nose. He was gentle and seemed easy to get along with. His pale lips always had a slight curve, just like always.

The door rang again with a "ding," and she instinctively hid behind him, her fingers gripping Ji Yu's clothes tightly, her lips devoid of color.

Ji Yu ignored her, his sneer becoming even more pronounced.

Thankfully, it was her own floor. There were no zombies outside, and even the hallway was clean. Just as she was thinking this, she was dragged outside.

Meeting Ji Yu's raised eyebrow, she realized she was still clenching her fist tightly. Ni Qing gave a guilty snort and withdrew her hand.

Not long after they stepped out of the elevator, they saw Guo Xiaoyan's anxious and expectant eyes. She was clearly relieved to see that they had returned safely.

"It's good that you're back, it's good that you're back." She wiped away the tears from the corners of her eyes, her nose red, not knowing how long she had been waiting. She had only asked her son to go out and look for his sister, but she never expected so many things to happen in such a short time.

If both children were to die outside, she wouldn't be able to go on living.

Ji Yu's expression turned cold, and he said in an unhappy tone, "Didn't I tell you not to open the door after I left? How long have you been waiting outside?"

Seeing her son like this for the first time, she was a little stunned and said gently, "Not long ago, he just came out."

Ni Qing seemed to ignore Guo Xiaoyan completely, and rushed into the house without a second thought. If it weren't for the young man's expressionless eyes, she would have locked them out the next second.

"This dimension is quite dedicated," 103 praised, only to be ignored in return.

Mr. Ni watched the TV channels with a grim expression. Every channel was reporting on the zombie crisis outside, with the hosts urging everyone to stay home unless absolutely necessary and wait for government rescue.

Everyone tacitly sat down at the table and began to eat. The dishes in front of them were still the same ones, with vibrant colors and enticing aromas, but no one had an appetite, especially Ni Qing, whose mind was filled with those scenes that needed to be censored.

She only ate a few bites before going back to her room.

She didn't even leave her room for dinner.

Not long after, there was a knock on the door. She slowly walked over and saw the tall figure of the young man.

She lifted her eyelids slightly, and asked absentmindedly, "Is something wrong?"

The young man smiled and handed over a plate of crystal shrimp dumplings: "My mom was worried you'd be hungry, so she asked me to bring these up for you."

She said listlessly, "No need." She was about to close the door when it was stopped just in time. The girl looked up unhappily and said coldly, "What are you doing?"

Ji Yu gave her thin, pale face a meaningful look before smiling faintly and saying, "It's nothing, just letting you know that we're leaving for a safe place in a couple of days. Please prepare well."

Sure enough, the girl's face became even more pale: "The news said to stay at home, why go out? I don't agree."

Her heart was pounding. She was 100% certain that this was Ji Yu after his rebirth. Although she didn't know why there was a bug, she could only take it one step at a time.

In the original storyline, they stayed at home for a full two weeks before daring to go out to find food, but now they've done it many days earlier.

She just didn't know what the male lead's special ability was. She only had the female supporting character's storyline and didn't know anything about the male lead's main information from beginning to end.

"If you don't leave, you'll die." He said this and went downstairs, along with some dumplings that looked delicious.

This continued until late at night, when all was quiet outside except for the radio from the elderly couple next door, which was playing loudly and making so much noise that Ni Qing couldn't sleep.

Finally, she resigned herself to her fate, got out of bed, took a shower, and went downstairs to find something to eat.

She was a little hungry.

I don't know if it was for some special reason, but the whole building lost power. I pressed the light button several times but it didn't turn on. I could only grope my way forward in the dark.

There wasn't much food in the refrigerator, so she found a pair of chopsticks and ate the whole plate of shrimp dumplings before she felt warm again.

Just as she was about to return to her room, she was suddenly tripped by something. Her eyes widened in shock, and then the world spun around her as she was slammed against the wall, a large hand tightening around her neck.

The force was so great that she couldn't breathe, and she couldn't make a sound. If there were some light, you could see that the girl's porcelain-white face had turned rosy.

The feeling of suffocation came over me.

The dark figure leaning against the wall moved, and the cold blade pressed against her cheek. Ni Qing realized what it was and was so frightened that she didn't dare to breathe.

The sharp knife gleamed coldly as it hovered near the girl's face before finally stopping at her vulnerable neck. With a slight pressure, beads of blood oozed out, and a stinging pain spread through all her senses.

She struggled, but to no avail.

An intense killing intent surged in the air, without the slightest attempt to conceal it.

She pried his wrist off forcefully, her voice trembling with fear: "Brother, brother—"

The young man paused, then let go of her hand, looking rather bored.

The apologetic and gentle voice now sounded like a vengeful ghost: "I'm sorry, Nini, I thought something that shouldn't have entered the house had broken in. I hope I didn't scare you?"
