The mysterious and gloomy ancient castle was silent, with dark clouds covering the sky. Bats of all sizes hung upside down from the branches, their scarlet eyes wide open, observing every move that came and went.

The roses in the back garden were in full bloom. The servant was pruning the flowers, head bowed in silence, his skin pale, his lips bright red, and his eyes bloodshot.

Unbeknownst to everyone, a young girl was quietly hiding in the center of the rose bush. She was beautiful, with black hair, snow-white skin, and lovely light brown eyes.

Ni Qing squatted dejectedly among the flowers. This was a vampire story. The male protagonist was named Brewster. His mother was a human whom his clan hated. Even though he was born with silver hair and blood-red eyes, he was still coveted by other vampires.

After all, his father was the only supreme prince of the vampire clan, and he had more than one child, but internal strife was inevitable.

Their inherent coldness prevented them from getting along, leading to constant rivalry from a young age. Had it not been for his handsome appearance, he might very well have died a violent death at birth.

Even so, Brewster did not receive the treatment due to a prince. Because he was out of favor, he was often treated like a slave by servants, and his body was covered with scars of all sizes.

The bullying he endured from childhood made Brewster, who was already cold-blooded, even more indifferent. Although vampires have excellent self-healing abilities, he always had old wounds that hadn't healed before new ones appeared.

Just before the turning point, he encountered a half-vampire girl who had been bitten and was forced to become a slave due to her human identity.

She has a gentle personality, but even after becoming a member of the vampire clan, she still harbors a quiet hatred for this terrifying race.

She treated Brewster very well and never bullied him. Over time, the male protagonist gradually fell in love with her. His ambition drove him to fight for the throne, and even more so to protect the person he loved.

Just as he was about to take power, he was betrayed by her. She had been bribed by members of other bloodlines and had been monitoring him all this time. She even tried to help others kill him.

He felt disheartened, but instead, he became bloodthirsty. Even though it was someone he had loved since childhood, he killed her without mercy and shared her lowly blood with other vampires.

All vampires trembled under his rule.

When Ni Qing saw this, she thought it was a melodramatic short story with physical and emotional abuse, and that the girl should be the female protagonist. But 103 mysteriously shook her head and claimed that the girl was her.

The female protagonist is named Lina. She is a pure member of a collateral branch of the bloodline. She has been aloof and arrogant since childhood. She originally looked down on Brewster, but was forcibly imprisoned because she looked exactly like Ni Qing.

He only wanted to drink her sweet-smelling blood every day.

Good grief, a stand-in trope, and she's actually the white moonlight who betrayed the male lead in the story.

Ni Qing was speechless and choked with emotion as she looked at the melodramatic story.

The rest of the story is more typical: the two are deeply in love, experiencing a love-hate relationship before eventually falling in love over time.

Ni Qing is still hiding deep in the rose bushes. Not long ago, the original owner of this body accidentally entered this ancient castle while exploring with her friends. In a moment of panic, she hid in the bushes, intending to sneak away, but was bitten by a vampire just as she was about to escape.

She quickly underwent a mutation, her light brown eyes turning into blood-red eyes, though her hair remained the black they looked down upon.

The purer the bloodline, the lighter the hair. Brown and black hair belong to servants; after the mutation, she could no longer adapt to human life and was forced to stay and do menial tasks.

Thinking of this, she couldn't help but touch her neck. The thought of having two more holes there soon made her feel somewhat speechless.

"Hurry up and get to work! Are you slacking off again? Do you still think you're the prince's son? If you don't finish this, I'll gouge your eyes out!" The sharp words pierced my ears.

Ni Qing frowned and peered through the tangled branches. The male servant wore a black and white uniform, had short chestnut hair, and a pale face filled with a fierce aura.

Holding a willow branch soaked in salt water, he fiercely lashed it at the delicately carved little boy on the ground.

Numerous gruesome bloodstains appeared on his tender skin. He had short silver hair and his eyes were lowered in fear and unease. Even when subjected to torture, he remained silent.

He stood there silently, enduring the beating.

The other servants watched with glee.

This must be the young protagonist, Brewster. Tsk tsk, he's a bit pitiful, but these are all things he has to go through.

Just as Ni Qing was about to look away, she was caught off guard and her eyes met the boy's. It was only for a second, as fleeting as a flash in the pan, so that Ni Qing didn't even have time to tell if he was looking at the flowers or if he had noticed her.

Brewster's expression remained unchanged, still looking pitiful.

The girl turned away indifferently, but her delicate palm was unexpectedly cut by a sharp stone in the soil, and the strong smell of fresh blood hit her face.

Everyone's gaze froze, their noses twitched slightly, and their eyes turned sinister.

There's a human scent around. Which foolish thing dared to intrude?

The person involved closed their eyes and thought to themselves that it was all fate.

Then, with lightning speed, he got up and ran.

The fierce cold wind rushed into her mouth, nose, and ears, making it impossible for her to tell whether anyone was chasing her.

She soon became too exhausted and knelt down behind the pillar. Fortunately, she was petite and was well hidden from view.

There was no one behind him; he didn't know if he had lost them or if something else had gone wrong.

Ni Qing calmed her breathing slightly and breathed a sigh of relief when she heard light footsteps behind her.

Her nerves snapped to attention, and she turned to look back.

A small, dark figure stood behind her, his head tilted slightly, silver hair and bloodshot eyes, curiously observing her. Because it was dark and human vision was limited, she couldn't make out his features at all.

Those blood-red eyes were particularly striking.

"You are—" She opened her lips, her eyes shimmering with a hint of fear.

The other party tilted his head and smiled, his sharp white teeth appearing and disappearing. Even though he was a child, Ni Qing was easily knocked to the ground.

The child, not knowing his own strength, threw her so hard that her eyes saw stars, and the blood on her palms was almost dried. The next second, her slender, fragile neck was restrained.

The other party viciously and cruelly bit her neck.

Thick, bright red blood slowly trickled down her collarbone. Ni Qing was in so much pain that she couldn't speak, and her expression turned pale in an instant.

Damn it, she got bitten on the neck by a little kid?
