Rebirth of a Cute Kid's Parallel World Adventures

Chapter 53 Rescuing the Aunt's Husband

When the dawn of victory shone upon everyone, the joy and sense of accomplishment at that moment were indescribable.

At that moment, the old aunt swiftly reached out her strong hands and grabbed one of the men's collars.

Then, with a sudden burst of strength, he lifted the person several feet off the ground as easily as picking up a chick.

The old aunt's eyes widened, flashing with anger and authority as she stared intently at the terrified humanoid monster suspended in the air.

With an almost roaring voice, she demanded, "You heartless bastards, where exactly are you holding all the people you've captured? Tell me the truth now, or don't blame me for being ruthless!"

The humanoid monster was clearly completely intimidated by the old lady's powerful aura and fierce appearance.

His body began to tremble violently, and his lips quivered, making it impossible for him to utter a complete sentence.

With great difficulty, he managed to squeeze out a few words: "It's...it's...the house not far ahead." After saying that, he seemed to have used up all his strength, and his whole body went limp.

Upon hearing this answer, the aunt snorted coldly and then loosened her grip on her hand.

The moment the man's feet touched the ground, he nearly stumbled and fell like a frightened bird.

Before he could even get a foothold, his aunt spoke again, her tone leaving no room for argument: "Hurry up and lead the way! If you try anything funny, you'll be sorry!"

The man nodded hesitantly, then turned around shakily and began to lead the way.

Throughout the journey, he kept his head down, his steps were unsteady, and he kept rubbing the hem of his clothes with both hands, looking anxious and uneasy.

And every now and then, he couldn't help but steal a glance back at the crowd, his eyes filled with fear and worry.

He seemed afraid that someone in the crowd might suddenly rush up and beat him.

And so, led by this man with trepidation, the group soon arrived at a room with its door tightly closed.

Staring at the tightly closed door, Manman grew increasingly nervous. She took a deep breath and suddenly kicked forward.

With a loud bang, the seemingly sturdy wooden door opened, and a musty, rotten smell immediately wafted out.

In an instant, a pungent odor assaulted my senses. Upon closer inspection, I saw that the small room was actually filled with many handsome young men.

Their figures swayed, their faces looking haggard, as if life had been drained from them. Their once vibrant faces now looked like withered flowers, devoid of luster.

In particular, those eyes, which were once bright and spirited, have now become dull and lifeless, like two gems covered in dust, no longer able to reflect their former brilliance.

Just then, with a creak, the long-closed door was slowly pushed open.

In an instant, the teenagers trembled violently like startled birds, their faces instantly showing expressions of extreme fear.

Immediately afterwards, they began to retreat frantically, staggering unsteadily; some were overcome with fear.

They were so frightened that they curled up into a ball, hugging their legs tightly, trembling all over, as helpless as fallen leaves in the cold wind.

Looking at the scene before her, Manman felt a surge of intense pity. At the same time, an unnamed rage burned fiercely in her chest.

The sheer intensity of these teenagers' reactions reveals the inhuman torture and cruel treatment they must have endured here, a treatment unimaginable to most.

And judging from their fearful expressions, they must have experienced similar terrifying scenes many times before.

Perhaps they thought that those fierce and cruel monsters were coming in again, and that they would choose some of them to offer as sacrifices to that terrifying salamander.

Just then, Manman suddenly heard a shout: "Great niece, you've finally come to save me!" Manman's heart tightened, and she quickly looked in the direction of the voice.

My aunt's husband was standing alone at the back of the crowd. From a distance, he seemed to be in fairly good condition.

He stood tall and looked energetic, so he must have just been captured and brought here, and had not yet suffered any cruel torture.

Seeing this, Manman quickly called out, "Uncle, don't worry, we've come here specifically to rescue you. Come out quickly!"

Before she could finish speaking, her uncle strode out from the back of the crowd, his face beaming with joy and excitement.

Just then, the other trapped people also began to move.

One by one, they emerged slowly and orderly from the place that had confined them for so long.

The figures of these people gradually became clearer. Some of them still had a look of shock on their faces, but most of them were overjoyed and excited to have regained their freedom.

One after another, they followed in their uncle's footsteps like a long dragon. Their eyes, however, always shone with hope.

Finally, everyone left the room and came outside.

Then, they all turned around to face the crowd. Their unfamiliar faces revealed genuine gratitude.

Some people had tears in their eyes and their voices trembled as they said, "Thank you. If it weren't for you, we don't know how much longer we would have been trapped...we might have even lost our lives."

Others bowed deeply to express their heartfelt gratitude.

For a moment, words of gratitude rose and fell, echoing in the air as if forming a moving melody.

Just then, the second sister spoke up and asked, "Uncle, everyone is planning to go here to search for the treasure vault. Would you like to go with everyone, or go back home to rest and recuperate first?"

My uncle answered without hesitation, "Of course I'll go with you to find that treasure vault!"

Immediately afterwards, Manman turned her head slightly and her gaze fell on the majestic wolf king uncle beside her.

He stood tall and straight, like an unshakeable mountain.

Manman took a deep breath, then said solemnly to Uncle Wolf King, "Uncle Wolf King, I'm entrusting this mission to you! I hope you can safely escort these people to the surface. Thank you in advance, Uncle Wolf King!"

After saying this, Manman bowed deeply to Uncle Wolf King to express her deepest respect and gratitude to him.

The wolf king told the boys to follow him and walk slowly toward the exit.

Just then, the myna bird and the little wolf hurriedly ran back to everyone's side.

The myna bird, panting heavily, said, "We've finally found you! Second Sister sent us to search for treasure, and after some twists and turns, we've finally found the treasure vault! Come with us!"

Then he added, "Oh, and I have some interesting gossip to tell you. It's said that this place was once a dragon palace!"

"Back then, this body of water was bustling with activity, teeming with dragons. But for some reason, all the dragons suddenly decided to move away, leaving behind only this empty dragon palace."

"Perhaps they left in such a hurry that they didn't have time to take all the valuable items with them."

"Time passed day by day, and no one knew how many years had gone by. This once glorious dragon palace was gradually occupied by other spirits and monsters."
