"If we take him away secretly, will we be discovered?"

Huo Wang asked in a low voice.

"I don't know. But when I divorced my ex-husband, he didn't want it. What's wrong with me taking it with me? It's clearly written in our divorce agreement."

Jiang Zhuhua rarely talks about her previous marriage. In her mind, that marriage didn't even belong to her, since she never felt involved in it and didn't spend much time with her ex-husband.

"Are you taking that adult version of your son with you?"

Huo Wang moved a stool and sat down next to her. He pointed to the two people, one big and one small, squatting there; the two of them looked quite similar when they were close together.

“His legs are his own. We two can take the smaller one with us, but if he doesn’t want to leave, he can give each of us a punch.”

Jiang Zhuhua smiled gently as he looked at the two people on the beach. The two seemed to be building something with the sand, digging and shoveling with small shovels, thoroughly enjoying themselves.

"I won't let him hit you."

Huo Wang gently kissed Jiang Zhuhua on the cheek. His gaze was gentle and tender.

"Mom, we found a dead starfish."

Jiang Ji was waving a starfish around from a distance; the creature was dead and emitted a fishy stench.

"Don't put things in your mouth randomly. Wash your hands promptly after you're done playing. Use hand sanitizer."

Children are curious about everything and often pick at strange things. Playing with sand and mud is normal, and Jiang Zhuhua doesn't mind the other child playing with such things.

This is part of a child's exploration of the world; it's important to maintain good hygiene and prevent illness.

"I'll go talk to him. It's never good to accidentally kill a starfish."

Huo Wang seemed a little unable to accept it, his brows furrowed tightly.

"You have OCD? This is the first time I've noticed."

Huo Wang is indeed quite clean, but he's not a germaphobe. Jiang Zhuhua was just teasing him.

"What I fear most is that children might accidentally ingest it, as their digestive systems and immune systems are quite weak."

Huo Wang walked onto the beach as he spoke. Jiang Zhuhua sat alone under the sunshade, looking down, a glass of watermelon juice in his hand. He sipped the chilled watermelon juice with relish.

It's sheltered from the sun and rain, and there's even a small fan next to it.

Huo Wang ran to the beach and gave a serious science lesson for a while, specifically choosing a certain adult specimen.

"You two should both be careful and pay attention to hygiene and safety."

Pei Hui seemed just as troublesome, like a giant version of a child. Huo Wang had to give him a few more instructions.

"Okay, okay. And also, how could you leave Mom there alone? Go back, go back."

Jiang Ji started to chase them away. He'd already allowed them to date, why weren't they cherishing it? Once they got back, he'd be clinging to his mother.

Huo Wang could only shake his head helplessly and shrug when Pei Hui looked over. He walked towards the shore. Their itinerary included meeting his friends.

Everything needs to be discussed and agreed upon in advance.

"He doesn't seem manly at all, how did your mother fall for him?"

Pei Hui lost count of how many times he had asked that question, but he still had that feeling. The two of them stood there, their lives as stagnant and uneventful as a pool of still water, with no end in sight.

"Pei Hui, do you read novels about domineering CEOs?"

Since what happened last night, Jiang Ji stopped calling the other party "uncle" or "brother" after waking up and started calling them by their full names to express his dissatisfaction.

"No. I have a lot of things to do, I don't have time to read novels."

Pei Hui listlessly rummaged through the sand, filling in the sand pit that Tie Dan had dug.

“My mom is like that domineering CEO, and Huo Wang is like that strong and unyielding flower. It’s just that their relationship isn’t a tragic love story. Besides, my mom told me that she wouldn’t date a man who is stronger than her.”

Jiang Ji doesn't really care about material things. In his short life, he doesn't even have a concept of wealth or poverty. He only remembers Huo Wang helping him carry things when they went out, and scolding him when he ate a lot of ice cream.

Or they might laugh at him for washing Tiedan so messily. Several people in the hotel were busy jumping around trying to wash a dog.

"And most importantly, isn't it enough that they like it? The right person is like two puzzle pieces. They may not look particularly impressive or even perfect at first glance, but they look great together when put together."

Jiang Ji diligently trimmed the edges of the sand, speaking eloquently despite his young age.

"Where did you learn so many principles? You're so young, yet you're so talkative."

Pei Hui doesn't remember ever saying so many glib things when he was a child. It seems like he spent his childhood practicing piano, learning all sorts of things, or worrying about his next meal.

"Watch TV. And if you're curious, you can ask your mom or Huo Wang. They'll tell you."

Jiang Ji's words were perfectly reasonable, which made Pei Hui extremely jealous. He grabbed Jiang Ji from the ground and threw him high into the air.

Pei Hui originally intended to scare the other party, but the other party showed no fear on their face, instead exuding a sense of excitement.

He showed a lot of trust in him.

"Pei Hui, I want to toss it again! It went so high!"

Jiang Ji screamed with excitement. Pei Hui couldn't really let her fall, so he caught her and then tossed her high into the air again.

Jiang Ji has really gained weight; he's quite heavy now.

"You need to lose weight after you get back."

Pei Hui has excellent physical strength, but that doesn't contradict his feeling that the other person is heavy. He has been trained because he has spent many years walking on the edge of life and death and fighting with all kinds of people, but this kid's weight...

Is he overweight? Would a normal child weigh this much at this age?

"I'm not fat. My teacher says it's just that my cuteness is inflating."

Jiang Ji laughed it off, not taking it seriously at all. In fact, all three adults present thought he was fat and unanimously agreed that he should lose weight.

"Your cuteness is inflated? You're just plain fat. You should have some self-awareness."

Pei Hui could have said even harsher things to him, but she held back. If she didn't start losing weight now, she couldn't wait until she was a solid fat person before trying to lose weight; by then, it would be much harder.

What's making this cuteness so adorable?

The baby fat on his face gradually turned into solid fat.

I can't possibly grow up to look exactly like him, can I?

Pei Hui was unusually worried; he was afraid that he would become a fat man in this world. He had never thought about what it would be like to be fat, but he instinctively resisted the idea.

"Once you gain weight, your joints will become less flexible, and running or exercising will become a burden."

Pei Hui offered a few more words of advice. He knew his own life in this world was clearly no worse than his, but gaining weight was a burden on his body.
