Chapter 74 The Boys—Soldier Boy

"I know what you're going to say," Edgar said before Madeline could even speak.

Edgar was sitting in his office chair, his hands clasped over his mouth, watching the monitor in front of him.

Madeline swallowed hard, nodded, and was about to place the box she had brought on Edgar's desk.

But Edgar waved his hand.

"No need to give it to me. The lab staff will be here soon. Give it to them. You can go back now." With that, Edgar rudely shooed him away.

Madeline paused, silently withdrew her hand, and quietly left Edgar's office with the box.

Two hours later, inside the laboratory.

"Incredible! The outer shell is made of a material we've never seen before, and we can't even detect the internal structure using any of our methods," a scientist said to his superior, looking incredulous as he left his computer.

"This material is unprecedented. We have also conducted experiments and found that it is resistant to high temperature and pressure, corrosion, and even its ductility exceeds the limits of what we can achieve!"

The scientist stared wide-eyed, his face filled with reverence, and said, "This is a material that only a god could create!"

Ignoring the scientist's crazed expression, the Vought Group executives glanced at Edgar beside them and asked, "Who do you think could have done this?"

"To be honest, I'm almost convinced that those lunatics are saying this thing wasn't made on Earth."

Edgar didn't speak, but how could he not believe it?

But do aliens really exist?

Edgar left the lab directly, and then informed Madeline.

"Have your big boy quickly clear out those monsters. Remember, kill them one by one as they come out! The company will send people to assist!" Edgar said, then looked to the other side of the laboratory.

There, lies the last superhuman created by the Vought Organization, Soldier Boy!

Because of his uncontrollable nature, the Soldier Boy was rendered unconscious by some kind of poison gas in the last century and hidden in a secret experimental base in the Soviet Union. However, recently, Edgar inexplicably sent someone to bring the Soldier Boy back.

Other high-ranking officers, who also knew the soldier boy, said with a trembling voice, "We can't control him!"

Edgar shook his head.

"Since the psychoactive gas can hypnotize him, let's hypnotize him even further and turn him into our super assassin!"

Edgar's tone was icy, sending chills down one's spine.

Then, he produced a business plan.

The title read, "The Soldier Boy's Transformation Plan."

You only have three days!

……

three days later.

Using Russian music that had tormented the soldier boy for nearly half a century to induce a PDST state before hypnotizing him, the progress was quite remarkable.

After three days, the soldier boy had been successfully hypnotized.

Edgar was very satisfied, and in the face of the ruthless and decisive soldier boy, the flame of ambition in his heart continued to burn and rise.

Inside the Water Company building.

"What is the company doing? Both the government and the military are urging us to help deal with these monsters. The number of missing people has now exceeded one thousand!" Queen Maeve paced back and forth in the Super Seven's conference room, anxious and uneasy.

She doesn't care much about the company's stock or finances; after so many years at the company, she's become accustomed to living like a puppet.

But during these days, she witnessed firsthand the children crying helplessly, not knowing whether their loved ones were alive or dead.

These scenes struck Queen Maeve's heart deeply.

Even so, she didn't dare to be too presumptuous at this moment.

Because the faces of the people of the motherland are now ashen.

Since Homelander dared not use his superhuman senses to spy on Edgar's conversation upstairs, he only went upstairs to report the information. Less than ten minutes later, several people in white coats arrived at the company by helicopter. Edgar even let them take the box and they left together.

Today was no different; if Homelander hadn't instinctively peeked, he wouldn't have known that Edgar had returned by helicopter.

But in that instant, the homelander heard two words.

Reboot, and the soldiers!

Could this be the so-called people who came to help us, as mentioned above?

How much self-doubt does this show?!

What the man from the motherland didn't know was that his father had already arrived.

Soon, Madeline rushed in.

She walked into the meeting room of the Super Seven, panting.

Behind her, a man walked in, carrying a triangular shield painted black.

With his robust and tall physique, all-black combat uniform, and a skull mask covering his face with only his eyes showing, he exuded an extremely intimidating presence.

"This is one of the company's trump cards: the Super Soldier!"

As Madeline introduced them, the super soldier walked in.

Homelander was also intimidated by its overwhelming sense of oppression, and Queen Maeve, who had been stunned for a moment, stepped forward.

"Really? This is the company's trump card? What kind of superpower does he have?" Homelander was furious. He had actually been frightened by a guy who was all black!

So the Homelander looked at the soldier boy with a provocative tone.

Queen Maeve frowned; she simply felt the other person looked somewhat familiar.

Madeline knew that her homelanders were getting competitive, so she stepped forward to reassure them, "Don't worry, although he has a trump card, it's not his strongest. You are the strongest!"

The words were simple, but very helpful.

Homelander gave a soft, cold snort, said nothing more, raised his chin and looked at the soldier boy with arrogance, like a victorious peacock.

Homelander's cold snort sounded like a child's cute whining to Madeleine, and she looked at Homelander with eyes full of affection.

She knew the occasion; after all, Queen Maeve was still around, and she couldn't possibly show how she behaved in private.

"Alright, it's up to you guys now. I'll prepare a press conference for you to introduce the super soldiers and let the public and fans know that we have the capability to eliminate monsters and rescue hostages!"

Madeline affectionately patted the head of the homelander.

A few hours later, the soldier boy changed his name and appearance and rejoined the Seven.

Their temporary team was dubbed the "Deadly Trio" by fans!

The man from the homeland said he wanted to strangle the person who came up with the name; it was awful!

"What luck! These monsters have appeared seven blocks away. Homelander, quickly gather your teammates and go take care of them!" The press conference had just ended, and people hadn't even had time to leave when Madeline received a call from the Vought Corporation.

Madeline was overjoyed and immediately gave orders to Homelander.

Homelander was taken aback, not expecting that experimental subjects would arrive so soon after the team was formed. So he led his teammates and soared into the sky.

Seven blocks away, Homelander and his two companions arrived at the scene.

As soon as they landed, they discovered a group of monsters leading the living into an open portal.

Homelander and Queen Maeve wouldn't dare step into the portal, but clearing out these monsters wouldn't be a problem.

"We've arrived." Queen Maeve looked at the swarm of monsters behind her, which resembled locusts, swallowed hard, and reported with difficulty to the person behind the headset.

After Homelander put Queen Maeve and the soldier boy down, he didn't land but floated in mid-air, too afraid to come down.

He feared that once he landed, these monsters would swarm and bury him, and he would be unable to escape.

“We’ve seen that too. Let’s begin. The cameras are watching,” Madeline’s voice came through their earpieces.

As for the cameras, they were small button cameras that they had clipped to their collars before they set off.
