This was the second time Dio had met Odin.

At this moment, Odin and Frigga were sitting together eating and drinking mead, but it was obvious to anyone with eyes that they were not in high spirits.

Dio brought Hela over, and Frigga's eyes lit up.

"Long time no see, mother!"

Hela looked at Frigga with gentle eyes, but barely glanced at Odin.

Dio knew the situation; even though Hela was doing well now, he couldn't get over Odin's choice of her.

“My Hela.” Frigga stepped forward and took Hela’s hand. She understood her husband’s choice but was heartbroken.

"Let's go over there and talk."

Watching the two leave, Dio silently walked to Odin and sat down.

Odin looked at Dio in surprise. Not many people dared to sit in front of him. Even Zeus did not have the absolute confidence to sit in front of him and remain so calm.

Especially since the other party is his son-in-law.

The two stared at each other for a moment, and then Dio spoke first: "Your Majesty, don't you have anything to say?"

?

Odin looked at Dio with a puzzled expression.

"To send my daughter to me without a word, and to a man I've only met once—no matter who the father is, even a god-king wouldn't make such a decision so easily," Dio said expressionlessly.

Odin understood.

He then sighed and said, "You've been fighting in the universe for so many years, you should know that Asgard has a prophecy of Ragnarok."

Dio nodded; of course he knew.

This matter was spread by someone unknown after Odin ascended the throne. All the gods in the universe knew that the mighty Asgard would one day fall, so everyone watched and laughed.

Even if Asgard is destroyed in the next moment, Odin's power is well known. If anyone dares to underestimate or be arrogant towards Asgard, don't blame Odin for disregarding his status and taking care of you in one fell swoop!

So everyone should still view the people of Asgard the same way they always have.

But in private, they still looked at them with strange eyes.

Odin took a sip of his wine and continued, "However, the prophecy has recently taken a new turn. Although there have been similar prophecies before, the outcomes have always been roughly the same. But this time it's different. Asgard will still be destroyed, but it will be saved by another empire. And from the final scene of the prophecy, I saw you and Hela appearing together in Asgard to fight against Surtur."

Dio was taken aback by what Odin said.

Asgard is Hela's homeland, so he will definitely go to help her during Ragnarok.

But Dio noticed the two words Odin used: "empire"!

Although his territory is now vast, its internal operating model hasn't changed much, continuing the old pattern. While the model has begun to shift, it's still far from being an empire.

Judging from the baby in the cradle next to Odin and Frigga when they arrived,...

The timeline for the Avengers' storyline on Earth is fast approaching, which also means that Ragnarok, the beginning of the storyline, is almost here. After all, a little over a thousand years is a short time for people like them.

More than a thousand years, Dio thought, should be enough to conquer most of the universe.

However, a group of soldiers with extremely high military skills is still needed.

The Eternals and Beast Warriors are, needless to say, their trump cards. The Chitauri are another story; even if they've been modified by Dio, they're just cannon fodder, at best assassins.

As for the Parademons, forget about it; these are locusts, not a regular army.

Dio's mind raced, and he inadvertently glanced at the soldiers standing behind Odin.

Asgardian soldiers and Valkyries.

At that moment, Dio's divergent thinking instantly brought to mind a very famous and powerful type of soldier from his previous life!

Astartes!

I haven't played much of the Warhammer series, Dio. I've mainly read the lore. I only learned about the Warhammer lore by chance when I was playing other games in my previous life and looking for walkthroughs online.

In an instant, Dio thought of Astartes' 21 modification surgeries and gene seeds, as well as the final armor and equipment.

The next moment, Dio had thought it all through, and now that he was back in the garden, he could immediately get started on Astartes' training plan!

"What's wrong? Although this is the City of All Power, the wine here isn't too intoxicating." Seeing Dio lost in thought, Odin joked to relieve the pressure.

Dio snapped out of his reverie and smiled. "No, I was just thinking about something."

“It’s good to be young, to have things to do, to be busy.” Odin said, taking another sip of wine and putting some on his finger before dripping it onto the infant Thor.

This move left Dio utterly speechless.

As expected of a Viking god, he gave wine to a newborn baby. In his previous life, when he was an infant, his father also dipped chopsticks in wine and dripped it on his lips for him to lick.

Good heavens, Odin just shoved his finger right into Thor's mouth.

The difference is significant.

Even the mighty Asgardians are vulnerable in infancy. Is Odin truly not afraid that something might happen to young Thor?!

“Look, he likes this mead too,” Odin boasted, looking at Thor with a happy smile.

He was completely oblivious to the expressions of the Valkyries behind him and Dio in front of him.

Odin tried to lift Thor up, making a pendulum motion like rowing, but Thor's head slammed loudly against the edge of the table.

Amidst gasps of surprise, the Valkyrie hurriedly carried little Thor away, thus preventing further harm.

Seeing this, Dio was even more speechless, thinking that Thor's silly appearance in the original story was probably caused by Odin when Thor was a child.

That saying is so true: a father is safest when things are dangerous, and a father is most dangerous when things are safe!

Hela's current paranoia might be due to a head injury she suffered as a child!

"Should we go back and get it checked?" Dio muttered.

"Huh?" Odin's attention had just returned from Thor, and he didn't hear Dio's words.

"Nothing much, I was just wondering if there were any more details to the prophecy," Dio quickly changed the subject.

Odin nodded: "There are many details in the prophecy. In fact, besides the image just now, there are two other sentences."

"The remains of the gods' former enemies will be sacrificed to the World Tree by the God of Thunder, and will become the abode of the gods in the future."

"Thunder will replace the god of madness, and cunning will eventually become the king of the gods."

After Odin finished speaking, a look of worry appeared on his face.

Odin has many names, including one among the Midgards who worship the Aesir. "Mad God" is one of those names, and his son Thor will be the god of thunder.

He wanted to delve deeper into the prophecy, to find out who the cunning person in the prophecy was, but he made no new discoveries.

Looking at Odin's bitter expression, Dio could glean some clues from it.
