Thanos didn't want to be a villain.

The first thing I saw when I opened my eyes was a couple who were clearly white, embracing me.

The audience was abuzz with discussion, all feeling somewhat helpless in the face of the impending destruction.

At the scene, there was only one person who showed no fear whatsoever, or perhaps he was simply expressionless, wearing glasses, and scribbling in a small notebook.

"Dio, what do you think?" The scene was as chaotic as a vegetable market. Seeing that few people could offer any useful advice, Alars asked his clever son.

The moment Alars uttered Dio's name, the chaotic scene, resembling a bustling marketplace, fell silent instantly, like a homeroom teacher suddenly bursting into a classroom where no teacher was present. Dio, Alars's first son, had mastered all the superhuman philosophies of the Eternals by the age of thirty. Furthermore, his physical strength, speed, regenerative abilities, and agility surpassed those of all the Eternals on Titan, and his combat prowess was unparalleled.

Moreover, a few years ago, Dio modified himself, which allowed him to emit various energy rays from his hands and eyes.

In this respect alone, they have already surpassed the Eternals.

When Dio heard his father call his name, he sighed and put down his glasses.

"Father, why did you come to Titan from Earth in the first place?" Dio didn't start by solving a problem, but rather by posing a question. This question startled Alars.

He was at odds with the Eternals, another faction on Earth, and the two sides fought fiercely. In the end, he was narrowly defeated and left Earth with his followers to settle on Titan.

“I believe the older generation here all know why we came to Titan from Earth, so why can’t we repeat what we did before?” Dio’s sharp gaze swept around, and most people lowered their heads in fear. “We can colonize it!”

As soon as Dio finished speaking, everyone stood up excitedly to refute him.

"As we all know, although Earth is the border between the Skrull Empire and the Kree Empire, no one in the solar system bothers us because of the gods. But what about outside of that?"

"The major empires of the universe have basically divided up most of the star systems. Other places are either small alliances of nations like Nova or chaotic zones of plunderers. There is simply no place for us to stand!"

"So what are you trying to say?!" Dio stared intently at the guy who was spouting nonsense.

The other person was startled by Dio's gaze, and his arrogant demeanor vanished, replaced by trembling fear.

“So… I think we can seek the help of the gods, or join one of the empires,” the man explained tremblingly.

This statement was met with nods of agreement from many members of the Eternal Clan, who all expressed that it was feasible.

"The Eternals are experimental subjects created on Earth by the Celestials. This is not a secret among the high-ranking officials of several great empires. If we were to submit to an empire, what awaits us is not good treatment, but endless dissection and experimentation," Dio said in a low voice.

Many people know this: the Eternals who left Earth split into two groups. One group was the ship that Dio's mother, Susan, was on, and the other group was the ship led by Alars.

Dio's mother, Susan, was the first to be attacked by the Kree because she had gone ahead. Since most of the Kree on that ship were ordinary civilians, they were killed and plundered without any resistance. Only Susan was lucky enough to drift to her destination, which is the planet they are on now, Titan!

Among Susan's group were many friends and family members of those present.

So when Dio revealed this, everyone fell silent.

“Maybe, maybe they’ve already made some progress in their research, then we’ll definitely be treated well if we go!” Another person stood up, and his words drew angry stares from everyone.

Even so, everyone held onto a sliver of hope, after all, a thousand years had passed, and who knew what they might have discovered.

"Those who harbor侥幸心理 (a gambler's mentality) are gamblers!" Dio cursed angrily.

"Friend, eating human blood buns is no fun."

Dio shook his head, ignoring the strange expression on the other person's face, and said to his adoptive father on the stage, "Father, I still insist on searching for new planets to colonize. If no one agrees, I will go alone!"

Alars looked surprised and quickly said, "Dio, are you serious?"

Dio nodded, stood up and walked onto the stage. His height of over two meters and his muscular physique were extremely imposing.

"Everyone listen!"

Dio snatched the microphone from his father and shouted, "I will fight for the future of the Eternals alone. You cowards may not dare to come, or you may go find new masters to serve, but I, Dio, will never collude with you!"

"From this day forward, I will face the dangers of the universe alone, because I will succeed!"

Dio's speech was not very inspiring. Most of the members looked at him with pity, but more often they looked at him with mockery.

After saying this, Dio left and returned home.

The meeting ended abruptly, and Alars rushed home, wanting to comfort Dio; he didn't want anything to happen to his best son. Upon opening the door, he saw his panicked wife.

“Susan, where is Dio?” Alars asked.

Susan said in a panic, "He said he was leaving Titan alone and went to the basement to pack his things."

Alars hurried to the basement in the backyard, and as soon as he entered, he found Dio, who had already packed his things.

“My child,” Alars stepped forward, his brow furrowed. “Are you sure you want to do this, leave Titan and face the vast universe alone?”

“You know, Father, I am very strong.” Dio said with a relaxed expression.

“I know.” Alars sighed and looked directly at his son, who was taller than him.

“You are very strong, son, even comparable to the gods, but you must know that the universe is not just about the gods.”

After giving the order, Alars took out something.

“This is the scientific knowledge of the Eternal Clan accumulated over many years. It even contains the genetic code of our Eternal Clan. I made a backup. You can take it with you.” Alars handed the small item to Dio.

Dio was startled. The genetic code of the Eternals?!

This is something that only the Celestials might possess, as the Eternal Clan occasionally produces a member called the Eternal God.

The difference in power between the Eternals and ordinary Eternals is enormous. The most famous Eternals in the Marvel universe are Thanos and Hyperion, one of the four Supermen.
