Chapter 1: The Mysterious Ancient Bead

In the ancient and mysterious Eastern continent, there was a quiet town where a young painter named Ling Yu lived. He was free-spirited and unconventional, with a deep interest in the wonders and anecdotes of the world. He often traveled far and wide, using his brush to record the local customs and traditions.

One day, Ling Yu sought shelter from the rain in a secluded ancient temple in the mountains. The temple was dilapidated, the Buddha statues collapsed, and the walls were mottled, but in a corner, a faint blue light caught his attention. Ling Yu approached and discovered it was a glass bead radiating a mysterious light, its surface covered in strange patterns, seemingly containing an ancient and mysterious power. Curious, he picked up the bead, and the instant he touched it, a chilling sensation spread from his fingertips throughout his body. Suddenly, blurry images flashed before his eyes: a battlefield engulfed in flames, men and women dressed in ancient costumes, and a magnificent palace.

Ling Yu thought it was his imagination, but he liked the bead so much that he put it in his pocket and took it home.

Just as Ling Yu was about to ask a question, a commotion suddenly broke out, and a group of guards dressed in black rushed in. The leader shouted, "Princess, come with us, His Majesty wants to see you."

Chapter Three: Palace Intrigue

Seeing this, Ling Yu instinctively shielded the woman behind him. "Who are you people? Why are you taking her away?" he asked.

The head guard sneered, "You ignorant brat, how dare you interfere in royal affairs? The princess has committed treason by having an affair with an enemy country; today is her death day."

Chapter Four: In-depth Investigation

Ling Yu took Li'er to a remote village, temporarily escaping their pursuers. Here, they began investigating the truth behind Li'er's false accusation, trying to find evidence to clear her name.

Through conversations with the villagers and the gathering of clues, Ling Yu discovers that the mastermind behind this conspiracy is a powerful minister in the court—Lord Wang. Lord Wang is ambitious and plots to usurp the throne. He framed Li'er to eliminate his political rivals and clear obstacles for his own path to the throne.

To expose Lord Wang's conspiracy, Ling Yu and Li'er decided to infiltrate his mansion to find evidence. Under the cover of night, they evaded the patrolling servants and entered the mansion. In the study, they found letters and accounts that recorded evidence of Lord Wang's secret collusion with an enemy state.

However, just as they were preparing to leave, they were discovered by Lord Wang's men. A fierce battle ensued, and Ling Yu and Li'er gradually became outmatched and found themselves in a predicament.
