Tavern of the Spear: Desire for Pleasure

Chapter 130 One punch smashes brother's head

The two had barely taken a step when Bowen kicked them both, sending them flying. The immense force slammed Cheng Yu and Bai Yu against the wall, which groaned under the weight, sending pebbles raining down. The two slid helplessly to the ground, struggling to get up. Bai Yu turned to look at the more badly injured Cheng Yu, and gave a dry laugh, a wry, mocking laugh that seemed to come from brothers seeing each other in a worse state.

"Cough cough..." Cheng Yu coughed up a mouthful of blood and said with a bitter smile, "It seems we're going to die here today."

Bai Yu ignored Cheng Yu's wry smile. He twisted his neck, straightened up, and stared directly at Bo Wen, who was slowly approaching. Bo Wen was only a few steps away, and the overwhelming pressure made it almost impossible for them to breathe. Bai Yu took a deep breath, ignoring his injuries and the vast difference in strength, and cursed loudly.

He cursed Bowen with the most vicious language, his words so foul and unbearable. However, this had no effect on Bowen whatsoever; he merely watched Bai Yu with interest, as if he were looking at a dying ant.

"What, you've suddenly gotten bolder?" Bowen asked sarcastically. "Keep cursing, let me see what else you've got up your sleeve."

"Because I have a way to deal with you." Bai Yu stared directly at Bo Wen, his tone terrifyingly calm. "So I have to curse you first, otherwise if I beat you to death later, you won't be able to hear me."

Bo Wen was taken aback, then burst into laughter. "Heh, what can you do? In this human world, what way can you possibly deal with me? Unless..." He paused, a cold glint flashing in his eyes, "...unless you bring something from another higher-dimensional world."

Bai Yu didn't answer. He turned to Cheng Yu and asked, "Do you want to win? Do you want to defeat him and leave this place?"

Cheng Yu nodded with difficulty, giving a bitter smile. "I want to, but..." He looked around, saying despairingly, "What other options do we have?"

Bai Yu ignored Cheng Yu's despair. He took a deep breath, a resolute glint in his eyes. "There's always a way." He pulled a black stone from his pocket. The stone was engraved with complex runes and exuded an eerie aura.

"What is this?" Cheng Yu asked in confusion.

“This is… the Forbidden Stone, a gift from Obsidian.” Bai Yu’s tone was low and solemn. “It can grant me immense power, but the price is…” He paused, not continuing.

"What is the price?" Cheng Yu pressed.

"The price is my life," Bai Yu said calmly. "I will burn my life force, unleash all my power, and perish together with Bo Wen."

Cheng Yu was shocked upon hearing this. "No! Bai Yu, you can't do this!"

“Cheng Yu, this is our only hope,” Bai Yu said firmly. “I have to do this, for you, for our mutual friends, and for this world.”

He gripped the forbidden stone tightly in his hand, closed his eyes, and began chanting an ancient incantation. The black stone emitted an increasingly intense light, enveloping the entire room in an eerie red glow. Bai Yu's body began to tremble; his hair stood on end, and a powerful force surged from within him.

Bowen watched this scene, a hint of surprise flashing in his eyes, followed by a cold laugh. "Just a death throes."

However, the next moment, his smile froze on his face.

Bai Yu suddenly opened his eyes, which were bloodshot and glowed with a chilling red light. His body swelled up, his muscles bulging, like a raging wild beast.

"Bowen, prepare to die!" Bai Yu roared and charged towards Bowen like a bolt of lightning.

The punch was as fast as lightning. Bo Wen had no time to react before he was sent flying and slammed into the wall, creating a huge dent in the hard surface. At the same time, a large amount of black energy began to surge around Bai Yu's body, and his originally black and white hair gradually turned pure black. A chilling energy fluctuation emanated from his body.

The power of the Forbidden Stone erupted completely, and Bai Yu's body seemed to break through some kind of limitation, the power that had been suppressed by this world was completely released. His eyes flashed with a scarlet light, and the next second he appeared in front of Bo Wen, raising his tiger claws and grabbing hard.

A powerful spatial force erupted instantly, distorting the surrounding space. The wall behind Bowen was as if it had been violently kneaded by an invisible giant hand, deforming, shattering, and finally turning into dust. Bowen was like an insect trapped in amber, unable to move, and was lifted into the air by Bai Yu.

This scene was witnessed by the medical staff outside the door, and screams of terror rose and fell. Some people even fainted. They could not understand this supernatural power and could only attribute it to a miracle or the power of the devil.

Bai Yu smiled bitterly to himself. The power of this forbidden stone was indeed formidable, but it was also far too astonishing. He had to finish this quickly to avoid causing greater panic. He used his spatial powers again, instantly teleporting into the air, concentrating all his strength into his right fist, and slammed it fiercely into the pile of boulders where Bo Wen was.

"boom!"

With a deafening roar, the pile of boulders shattered instantly, sending debris flying and dust billowing everywhere. However, when the dust settled, Bai Yu was astonished to find that Bo Wen had vanished without a trace.

"How is that possible?" Bai Yu was shocked. Could it be that Bowen had other trump cards up his sleeve?

He immediately sealed off the area within several kilometers, making it impossible for Bowen to escape. Just as he was searching for Bowen's whereabouts, a dangerous aura came from behind him. He turned around abruptly and threw a punch, striking Bowen who appeared behind him.

Bo Wen grunted, a trickle of blood spilling from the corner of his mouth, a sinister glint in his eyes. "You think you can defeat me like this?"

Bai Yu remained silent. He knew that Bo Wen's strength far exceeded his expectations. Although the power of the Forbidden Stone was formidable, it didn't guarantee that he could defeat Bo Wen. He had to be even more cautious and look for an opportunity to deliver a fatal blow to Bo Wen.

"Cheng Yu, how are you?" Bai Yu asked with concern.

Cheng Yu struggled to his feet, his face pale and blood still lingering at the corner of his mouth. "I'm alright, it's just..." he took a deep breath, "I'm just a little exhausted."

"You take a rest, leave the rest to me," Bai Yu said firmly.

He looked at Bowen again, his eyes filled with fighting spirit. He knew that this battle had only just begun.

Bowen wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth and sneered, "Looks like you still have some strength left. Very well, let me see how long you can hold out."

He launched another attack, his figure moving as elusive as a ghost, each strike carrying a sharp killing intent. Bai Yu dared not be careless, and did his best to defend against Bo Wen's attacks.

The two figures clashed in the room, exchanging blows and making loud noises. The furniture was completely destroyed, the walls were covered in cracks, and the entire room was on the verge of collapse.

Bai Yu's stamina was rapidly depleting, and the power of the Forbidden Stone was beginning to weaken. He knew he had to end this battle as soon as possible, or the consequences would be unimaginable.

He took a deep breath, gathering his last bit of strength into his fists, preparing to launch his final attack.

"Bowen, it's over!" Bai Yu roared, pouncing on Bowen like a tiger descending a mountain.

Bai Yu's fist streaked through the air like a meteor, its immense power carrying boundless spatial force as it slammed towards Bo Wen. His eyes were fixed solely on Bo Wen's figure; all his strength was concentrated in this single strike. At this moment, Bai Yu seemed to transform into a messenger of destruction, his fist imbued with boundless rage and resolve, as if to tear the entire world apart.

With a deafening boom, Bai Yu's fist slammed into Bo Wen's body. A powerful spatial force erupted instantly, shattering the surrounding space. Bo Wen's body was torn apart by the force, exploding like a watermelon, blood and flesh splattering everywhere, staining the entire room crimson. A relieved smile appeared on Bai Yu's face. He had finally done it; he had finally defeated this powerful enemy.

However, just when Bai Yu thought it was all over, his smile froze instantly. He saw Cheng Yu's body also caught in the powerful force in that instant, torn to shreds like a leaf caught in a whirlwind, blood splattering everywhere. Bai Yu's mind went blank; he couldn't believe his eyes, couldn't believe he had killed his good brother Cheng Yu with his own hands.

"No! Cheng Yu!" Bai Yu's voice was filled with endless pain and despair. He rushed towards Cheng Yu's severed limbs, trying to piece them back together, trying to avert this irreversible tragedy. However, it was all too late. Cheng Yu's body was already shattered beyond repair.

Bai Yu knelt on the ground, tears blurring his vision. He roared in anguish, his voice filled with self-blame and remorse. He hated himself for using the Forbidden Stone, for launching such a powerful attack, for not seeing through Bo Wen's conspiracy. He felt like the most foolish person in the world, deceived by Bo Wen and killing his own brother with his own hands.

Just then, a burst of maniacal laughter came from not far away. Bai Yu looked up and saw Bo Wen's figure appear on the ruins. His body was intact, and he wore a mocking smile, as if everything that had just happened was just Bai Yu's illusion.

"Haha, Bai Yu, you're so stupid!" Bo Wen's voice was filled with madness and smugness. "You think you can defeat me? You're just a pawn, a tool I use to kill Cheng Yu!"

A flash of anger crossed Bai Yu's eyes. He gritted his teeth and said, "You bastard! What did you do to me?"

Bo Wen sneered and said, "My greatest skill is deception. My power is so great that I can deceive space and time. The space I created is a mess of history, a mixture of falsehood and reality. Just now, I merely used your hatred for me to make you lose your mind in anger, thereby indirectly killing Cheng Yu. As for me, I simply used spatial power to teleport myself to a safe place the instant you launched your attack."

Bai Yu's fists clenched tightly, his body trembling. He knew he had been completely deceived by Bo Wen, and his brother Cheng Yu had lost his life because of his momentary impulse. Bai Yu's heart was filled with endless pain and anger, and he vowed to make Bo Wen pay the price.

"Bowen, I will not let you go!" Bai Yu's voice was filled with endless killing intent. He slowly stood up, his eyes flashing with a cold light.

Bowen merely sneered and said, "What do you think you can do to me now? Your power is almost exhausted, while I am the true strongman!"

Bai Yu didn't answer; his gaze was fixed on Bo Wen. He knew Bo Wen was right; his power was beginning to wane, and the power of the Forbidden Stone was about to be exhausted. But he also knew he couldn't give up, couldn't let Cheng Yu sacrifice himself in vain. He had to find a way to end this battle and avenge Cheng Yu.

Just then, a flash of inspiration struck Bai Yu. He remembered the power of the Forbidden Stone and what Obsidian had once said.

The Forbidden Stone not only grants him immense power, but also helps the user enhance all their abilities. Bai Yu's time power was already formidable, but he was just one step short. With the Forbidden Stone's enhancement, he could reverse time for an individual.

Although the price of this power was his life, Bai Yu was prepared to sacrifice himself. He knew he had no other choice but to use the last bit of power from the Forbidden Stone to turn the tide.

To his surprise, he was unable to change Cheng Yu's time, which meant that Cheng Yu was really dead.

Looking at Cheng Yu, now reduced to minced meat, Bai Yu took a deep breath, gathering his last strength in his palm. His body began to tremble, but his eyes remained exceptionally resolute. He slowly chanted an ancient incantation, and the forbidden stone once again emitted an eerie red light, enveloping the entire room in a crimson hue.

Bowen's eyes flashed with surprise upon seeing this, but he quickly regained his composure and sneered. "You think you can defeat me like this? You have no power left, and the power of the Forbidden Stone is about to be exhausted. You're just wasting your time."

Bai Yu ignored Bo Wen's taunts, his gaze fixed intently on Bo Wen's figure. He knew this was his last chance; he had to succeed. He raised his hand high, and the power of the Forbidden Stone condensed into a massive sphere of light in his palm. The sphere contained powerful energy fluctuations, as if it could erupt at any moment.

"Bowen, do you really think you can win?" Bai Yu's voice was filled with unwavering determination. "I'll show you that I'm not so easily fooled!"

Bo Wen's expression changed slightly; he realized that Bai Yu might indeed have some kind of trump card. But he didn't back down; instead, he laughed even more wildly. "Haha, Bai Yu, you're a madman! What do you think you can change? You've already lost; it's all over!"

Ignoring Bo Wen's madness, Bai Yu thrust his palm forward, and the ball of light instantly transformed into a dazzling beam of light, flying towards Bo Wen. The light contained immense energy, seemingly capable of tearing the entire world apart.

Bo Wen's expression finally changed; he realized that Bai Yu's power was far greater than he had imagined. He tried to dodge, but Bai Yu's power had completely sealed off the space, leaving him nowhere to escape. A burst of light instantly enveloped Bo Wen, and a powerful energy eruption tore his body to pieces.

"No! Impossible!" Bowen's voice was filled with endless resentment. His body gradually dissipated in the light and eventually turned into nothingness. But after the nothingness, only a mask fell off, which meant that Bowen had already escaped.

A relieved smile appeared on Bai Yu's face. He knew he had finally done it, finally avenged Cheng Yu. However, his body began to tremble; the power of the Forbidden Stone had been exhausted, and his life was about to end.

"Chengyu, brother, I finally did it." Bai Yu's voice was filled with exhaustion and relief. He slowly knelt down, a trace of reluctance flashing in his eyes.

Just then, a familiar voice rang in his ears. "Bai Yu, you didn't lose, you won."

Bai Yu looked up and saw a familiar figure appear before him. It was Cheng Yu, his good brother Cheng Yu. His body was unharmed, and he had a warm smile on his face.

"Cheng Yu? You... how are you still alive?" Bai Yu's voice was filled with endless surprise and doubt.

Cheng Yu smiled and said, "Bai Yu, have you forgotten the power of the Forbidden Stone? At the very moment you launched your final attack, I used the power of the Forbidden Stone to strengthen my power to its peak, instantly drawing a story and reverting my state to that of a minute ago. So, I did not die and am not affected by the Forbidden Stone, so don't worry about me."

A flicker of surprise crossed Bai Yu's eyes; he couldn't believe it was real. He stood up and hugged Cheng Yu tightly, tears welling in his eyes. "Cheng Yu, I'm so glad you're really alright. I really thought I'd punched you to pieces."

Cheng Yu patted Bai Yu on the shoulder and said, "Bai Yu, you haven't lost me. You're my best brother, and I'll always be there for you. We still have a long way to go and many things to do." He paused again, then continued, "But it seems you're nearing the end..."

Bai Yu nodded, but his expression remained confident, showing no sign of panic.

“Cheng Yu, don’t think you’re the only one who can do this. As for time, I can just rewind my own time, right?” Bai Yu asked.

Cheng Yu smiled and said, "Hehe, I knew you wouldn't really be willing to sacrifice yourself to protect me!"

After saying that, Wan Yu raised his fist and punched Bai Yu, then laughed a few times and continued, "Let's leave this place first, and then you take me to find Hei Yao. I believe he's willing to help us and will definitely have a way to resolve Bo Wen's conspiracy and get us out of this crisis completely."

Bai Yu nodded, and then they left the ruins together, leaning on each other.
