Tavern of the Spear: Desire for Pleasure

Chapter 100 Brother, you smell so good!

The battle ended more easily than expected. The three-headed giant wolf was quickly defeated by the combined attack of Cheng Yu and Bai Yu in their slime forms, turning into a pool of black liquid and disappearing into the night.

"Is that all?" Bai Yu looked at the spot where the three giant wolves had disappeared, feeling that the battle hadn't been satisfying enough.

"Probably," Cheng Yu said in his slime form. He was also a little unsure, since this was the first time he had used this ability.

"Speaking of which, do these monsters appear here every night?" Bai Yu suddenly thought of something and asked curiously.

Cheng Yu, in his slime form, shook his head, his jelly-like body swaying as he spoke: "I don't know. I only stayed here for a few days before running away, and I didn't pay attention to whether these kinds of monsters would appear at night. However, I don't remember encountering this situation before."

"I see..." Bai Yu nodded thoughtfully. "Then it seems we should wait until daytime to see exactly where we are. Right now, it's pitch black all around, we can't see anything, and we don't know which way to go. Besides, we don't know how far this place is from the Northern Wolf Tribe. Rather than wandering around aimlessly, we might as well rest for the night."

“Yes, that’s what I was thinking too.” Cheng Yu in his slime form agreed. “However, it seems we don’t have any materials to set up a tent. What are we going to do about our lodging?”

This problem stumped the two of them. In this desolate wilderness, with no village or shop in sight, where could they find materials to set up a tent? They couldn't just sleep on the grass, could they?

“Um…” Cheng Yu suddenly remembered something. He looked at Bai Yu and said, “Don’t you have spatial abilities? I remember seeing your master make a bed for you before. You should be able to do that too, right?”

"Me?" Bai Yu pointed to his nose, looking incredulous. "How could I possibly do that? Even if I could, I'd need your help!"

"Me?" This time, Cheng Yu, in his slime form, was surprised. "How can I help?"

“Of course, it’s to collect materials!” Bai Yu said matter-of-factly. “With your slime body and the abilities of those tentacles, collecting materials is a piece of cake. The material requirements aren’t high either; just dig a hole in the grass here, and I’ll take care of the rest.”

Cheng Yu, in his slime form, stared at Bai Yu with suspicion in his eyes. He genuinely wondered if this guy was planning to bury him alive. Why dig a hole for a simple shelter? It sounded far too absurd.

However, he didn't think too much about it. After all, there was no better way at the moment, so he could only try it as a last resort.

“Okay, then we’ll do as you say,” Cheng Yu said in his slime form.

He controlled the slime's body, causing countless tiny tentacles to sprout from it. These tentacles, like serpents, quickly burrowed into the soil below.

Immediately afterwards, the ground began to tremble violently, and a perfectly flat, square clod of earth was slowly lifted up by the tentacles. This clod of earth was several meters long and wide, and more than a meter thick, looking just like a giant block of tofu.

"Holy crap, are you digging a foundation?" Bai Yu couldn't help but complain as he looked at the exaggerated scene before him.

"Ahem, it's a little big, but it's okay, there's room for it anyway," Cheng Yu said somewhat awkwardly in his slime form.

He tossed the huge clod of earth aside, then looked at Bai Yu and asked, "What's my turn to do next?"

"Just you wait and see!" Bai Yu said confidently.

He walked to the excavated pit, took a deep breath, and began to mobilize the spatial power within his body.

His hands moved slowly in the air, as if weaving something. With his movements, the surrounding space began to ripple, as if he were pulling something out of the void.

Cheng Yu, in his slime form, watched Bai Yu's actions with curiosity. He could sense that Bai Yu was using a very advanced spatial technique. Even Bai Yu himself had spent a full day mastering this technique.

"This guy is really hiding his true strength," Cheng Yu thought to himself in his slime form.

After about ten minutes, Bai Yu finally stopped moving. Fine beads of sweat had appeared on his forehead, and his face was somewhat pale, indicating that he had exhausted himself.

"Phew, finally finished." Bai Yu breathed a long sigh of relief and said.

"Completed? Completed what?" Cheng Yu, in his slime form, asked curiously.

"See for yourself," Bai Yu said, pointing to the pit.

Cheng Yu, in his slime form, leaned closer to take a look and was immediately astonished, his eyes widening in surprise.

In the previously empty pit, a small and exquisite... mud house had appeared!

Although the earthen house was small, it was fully equipped with a door, windows, and even a small earthen bed. The walls of the house were also carved with some strange dragon-shaped patterns, which looked both mysterious and beautiful.

"This...you made this?" Cheng Yu, in his slime form, asked in disbelief.

"How about it? Not bad, right?" Bai Yu said proudly. "I used my spatial abilities to compress and shape that soil to build this. Although it can't compare to your luxurious palace, it's still enough to shelter you from the wind and rain."

"Amazing!" Cheng Yu, in his slime form, exclaimed sincerely, "I'm really starting to admire you more and more."

"Haha, you flatter me." Bai Yu said modestly, "However, the house is made of ordinary mud, so its strength is limited. Don't jump around in there. If you collapse it, I won't be responsible for rebuilding it."

"Don't worry, I know what I'm doing," Cheng Yu said in his slime form. "Speaking of which, can we take a break now?"

"Okay, let's rest." Bai Yu nodded. "I'm tired too, after a whole night of running around."

The two walked into the simple mud house, one after the other. Although the house was somewhat rudimentary, it was a very comfortable shelter for them, who were exhausted.

Cheng Yu, in his slime form, separated his original body from the slime and carefully placed it on the earthen bed. He himself turned into a soft pool of blue liquid, which he spread next to the earthen bed as a temporary "mattress".

Bai Yu lay down directly on the earthen bed, closed his eyes, and quickly fell asleep.

Cheng Yu, in his slime form, looked at the sleeping Bai Yu and felt a warm feeling well up inside him. Although this guy could be unreliable at times, he was quite trustworthy in crucial moments.

"Goodnight, Bai Yu," Cheng Yu in his slime form whispered.

He closed his eyes and began to rest.

As night deepened, all was quiet except for the sound of the breeze rustling through the grass, which gently echoed across this desolate land.

In this small mud house, two weary travelers finally found a place to rest temporarily and drifted into a sweet dream.

No matter what happens, stay optimistic, just like Cheng Yu and the others. After all, tomorrow is another day. (Note: This isn't just for you, it's also for myself. I wish you all a better year than the last.)

The first rays of morning sunlight pierced through the thin earthen walls and into the simple mud house. However, this ray of hope was shattered by a sharp tiger's roar.

"Cheng Yu! What the hell do you want to do to me?!"

Bai Yu's voice boomed like thunder inside the earthen house. He stared wide-eyed at the scene before him in disbelief.

He found himself completely bound by a bunch of sticky blue tentacles, unable to move. Even more terrifying, his lower leg was swallowed whole by Cheng Yu in his slime form!

This bizarre scene would terrify even the most resilient person, let alone someone who has just woken up in the morning.

"You...you...you..." Bai Yu trembled with rage, his words becoming stammered, "You beast! I treated you like a brother, and you actually tried to sleep with me?!"

It's no wonder Bai Yu was so angry. Anyone who woke up to find themselves "kidnapped" by their companion in such a bizarre position would probably experience a surge in blood pressure. Moreover, Bai Yu had always considered Cheng Yu his best brother, and now, that trust seemed to be seriously challenged.

Although reason told him that this might just be a misunderstanding, at this moment, anger had taken over Bai Yu's mind. All he wanted now was to tear Cheng Yu to pieces and throw him in front of that three-headed giant wolf, so he could also taste what it was like to be devoured by a monster!

"I...I didn't...I didn't..."

Startled awake by Bai Yu's roar, Cheng Yu, in his slime form, also awoke from his sleep. He groggily opened his eyes, still somewhat confused about the situation.

In his dream, he was engaged in a fierce "battle" and was almost victorious. However, the coldness of reality instantly brought him back to his senses.

His cheeks flushed slightly, whether from the scene in his dream or from the reality before him, he couldn't tell.

When he saw Bai Yu, whom he had "kidnapped," and his tentacles still entwined around him, he was speechless. Like a child who had done something wrong, he lowered his head, not daring to look Bai Yu in the face with anger.

"I...I really didn't mean to..." Cheng Yu, in his slime form, stammered as he explained, "This...this was just an instinctive reaction in the dream. I promise, it will never happen again!"

"Instinctive reaction?" Bai Yu sneered. "Your instinctive reaction is to treat me as your sex toy?!"

"No, no, no, you've misunderstood!" Cheng Yu, in his slime form, hurriedly waved his hands—or rather, waved his tentacles—"I...I just..."

He wanted to explain, but didn't know how. After all, the scene in his dream was too shameful for him to talk about.

"But what?" Bai Yu pressed on, "Just tell me!"

“I…” Cheng Yu, in his slime form, took a deep breath, as if he had made up his mind. “I promise, if there is a next time, you can do whatever you want, even if… even if you cut off a part of my body, it’s all OK!”

To show his sincerity, he even took the initiative to retract the tentacles that were wrapped around Bai Yu, revealing a "do as you please" attitude.

Hearing such a "passionate" promise, Bai Yu's anger finally subsided by more than half.

He gently pressed his longsword against Cheng Yu's chin in his slime form, threatening, "You'd better keep your word. If there's a next time, I really will do as you say!"

"Definitely, definitely!" Cheng Yu, in his slime form, nodded repeatedly, his jelly-like body trembling.

Seeing his "obedient" appearance, Bai Yu sheathed his sword and let him go.

"Hmph, I'll let you off this time," Bai Yu said. "Hurry up and retract your tentacles!"

"Yes, yes, yes!" Cheng Yu, in his slime form, quickly retracted the tentacles from Bai Yu's body.

Having regained his freedom, Bai Yu stretched his somewhat stiff body and then glared fiercely at Cheng Yu in his slime form.

“You better behave yourself when you sleep from now on!” he warned.

"Yes, yes, yes, definitely!" Cheng Yu, in his slime form, nodded repeatedly.

After all that commotion, neither of them could sleep anymore.

They stepped out of the earthen house and found that it was indeed already broad daylight outside.

The warm sunshine felt wonderful on my skin.

"Phew, it's finally dawn." Bai Yu stretched and said, "I had a really rough night."

“Yeah,” Cheng Yu in his slime form chimed in, “but at least we made it through.”

He looked at Bai Yu beside him, his heart filled with gratitude.

Although this guy can be unreliable at times, he's actually quite trustworthy when it counts.

"By the way, what should we do now?" Bai Yu suddenly asked. "This place still looks like the middle of nowhere. Which way should we go?"

“Hmm…” Cheng Yu, in his slime form, pondered for a moment and said, “Let’s take a look around first. Maybe we can find some clues and see if there’s a way back to the Northern Wolf Clan.”

So the two began to explore this unfamiliar land.

They discovered that although the place looked desolate, it was home to many unusual plants. Some of these plants were ones they had never seen before, while others were ones they had read about in books.

"Hey, what's this?" Bai Yu asked curiously, pointing to a plant with purple flowers.

"Let me see..." Cheng Yu, in his slime form, leaned closer and examined it carefully. "This looks like... Violet?"

"Violet?" Bai Yu was taken aback. "Isn't this plant only found in the south? How come it's here?"

“I don’t know either.” Cheng Yu, in his slime form, shook his head. “However, this means that the climate here may be warmer than we thought.”

“Hmm, that makes sense.” Bai Yu nodded. “Then let’s keep going. Maybe we can find some traces of orcs living here. No matter if this place is still in the north or not, we should at least find some orcs we can communicate with and ask them about the situation.”

The two continued on their way, discovering many more unusual plants and animals along the way. These discoveries filled them with curiosity and anticipation for this unfamiliar land.

After walking for about an hour, they finally discovered some traces of human activity.

"Look, there are footprints!" Bai Yu said excitedly, pointing to some messy footprints on the ground.

“Hmm, it looks like someone has been here before,” Cheng Yu said in his slime form. “Let’s follow these footprints and see if we can find any clues.”

So the two of them continued walking along the footprints.

After walking for about half an hour, they finally arrived at the entrance to a valley.

“This… seems to be a valley,” Bai Yu said, looking at the scene before him.

“Okay, let’s go in and take a look,” Cheng Yu said in his slime form.

The two walked into the valley, one after the other.

The valley is shaded by green trees, filled with birdsong and fragrant flowers, and the scenery is exceptionally beautiful.

"This place... is like a paradise on earth!" Bai Yu couldn't help but exclaim.

"Yes, I never expected to find such beautiful scenery in a place like this," Cheng Yu, in his slime form, remarked.

The two continued walking along the path in the valley.

After walking for about ten minutes, they suddenly heard a strange sound.

"What...what is that sound?" Bai Yu asked, puzzled.

"It sounds like... someone is singing?" Cheng Yu in his slime form said.

The two exchanged a glance, both seeing a hint of curiosity and anticipation in each other's eyes.

“Let’s go take a look!” Bai Yu said.

“Okay!” Cheng Yu, in his slime form, nodded.

So the two of them followed the singing and walked toward the direction from which the sound came.
