I've been transported to the orc continent.

Chapter 11 The Beautiful White Wolf

That wasn't the end of it. Too many rocks had been washed down the mountain, changing the entire landscape. Their food storage cave was completely blocked, and they could only find a general location; they couldn't get in at all.

Those foods were the Yuanhu tribe's hope for surviving the winter. Now that all the food is gone, how will they get through this winter?

Even if they manage to find more prey, it won't be enough to feed them during the winter, and many people in the tribe will surely starve to death.

The Yuanhu tribe only has one mountain, and there aren't many caves on it. Now, most of the caves on the mountain are completely blocked by rocks that have washed down, making them uninhabitable. Without caves, the beastmen simply won't survive the coldest month, which is a more serious problem than food shortages.

Food shortages are one thing, but without caves for wintering, most of the orcs in the tribe wouldn't survive the winter.

After discussion, the orcs of the Yuanhu tribe decided to seek refuge with other tribes.

If one tribe cannot accommodate all of them, they will split up and go to different tribes.

The tribe was destroyed, and little food was salvaged. Many orcs were still injured. It took them two whole days to reach the place where they met the High Tree tribe.

For the past two days, the Yuanhu tribe has been finding food on the fly. With food shortages, apart from the children and cubs, the other beastmen have been traveling on empty stomachs.

When the guards of the High Tree Tribe saw the miserable state of the Yuanhu Tribe orcs, they quickly came to greet them and shared the food they had brought with the Yuanhu Tribe orcs.

It's never right to eat someone else's food for free. After settling his people in, the few uninjured orcs from the Yuanhu tribe went hunting.

When Zhan arrived with his people, the orcs from the Yuanhu tribe who had gone hunting also returned.

The chieftain of the Yuanhu tribe is Huo, a male beastman named Red Fox. Zhan and Huo are old friends and have dealt with each other many times. Huo was also injured and his complexion was not very good, but he still forced himself to say, "I'm not hungry yet. Let's distribute food to the children and cubs first."

Zhan forcefully shoved a piece of smoked meat into Huoshou's hand and said, "Just eat it, don't be polite with me. The tribe has discovered something new. Let alone the few dozen of you, even if a hundred more orcs came, our tribe could afford to support them."

If they hadn't discovered how to eat the giant root grass, the tribe wouldn't have dared to keep all the orcs of the Yuanhu tribe alive. Now that they have the giant root grass, even with the seventy or eighty orcs from the Yuanhu tribe, no one will starve to death in the winter.

Huo didn't say anything more. He had to hold on at this time; his people still needed him. Huo put the smoked meat in his mouth and chewed slowly.

The white lion and white wolf beastmen of the High Tree tribe transformed into their beast forms, and the other beastmen tied baskets to their backs. The children and cubs of the Round Lake tribe who had not yet transformed were all put into the baskets.

An orc took out a few pieces of melon cakes and gave one to each of the children and cubs.

"This is the best thing in our tribe, it's so fragrant and sweet."

First came the mudslide, then the relentless journey. The adults in the tribe were injured, and the children and little ones of the Yuanhu tribe were all terrified. Now, holding sweet melon cakes in their hands, their round eyes looked at their elders, then at the melon cakes in their hands, and finally couldn't resist the temptation.

With a gentle bite, the sweetness of the melon and the aroma of the oil fill your mouth. Even if the melon pancake has cooled down and doesn't taste as good as when it was freshly made, it still brings joy to children and toddlers.

The children and cubs quickly finished their melon cakes, their round, bright eyes fixed on the orc, their meaning clear: they wanted more.

The beastmen were always tolerant and doting on their cubs, and Zhan smiled as well: "When we get back to the tribe, you can eat as much as you want. Ling is the best cook." Zhan pointed in the direction of his own tribe: "He can make a lot of delicious food. Tomorrow I'll have him make you a basketful of melon cakes. Your bellies will definitely be full."

As the sun set, Bai Ling stood at the entrance of the cave, gazing into the distance. Where the sky and earth met, a golden sun was slowly sinking, dyeing half the sky with distinct shades of yellow and red, vibrant and radiant.

Bai Ling took a deep breath, opened her arms, as if to embrace the setting sun.

At the point where the sky meets the earth, several black dots are rapidly approaching the tribe.

Bai Ling was stunned for a moment. He had excellent eyesight, and with the other party's speed, Bai Ling quickly realized that they were a group of wild beasts, or rather, beastmen who had transformed into beast forms.

Bai Ling couldn't help but wonder why they were running so fast. Was something wrong in the tribe?

As the orcs drew closer, Bai Ling was able to see them clearly.

A white wolf was running at the very front.

The white wolf approached against the backdrop of the setting sun, its beautiful fur, like white silk, shimmering brightly in the golden sunlight. It ran swiftly, its entire body bathed in the golden light, appearing as sacred as a dragon hunter from mythology.

A red fox sat on the white wolf's back. Bai Rang couldn't see the fox's expression clearly, but he inexplicably felt that the fox's expression was eager and longing.

Bai Ling knew that these were definitely not beastmen from his tribe, because there were no fox beastmen in the Gaoshu tribe.

Bai Ling really liked that white wolf. He stared at it intently, and this was the first time he had ever been attracted to the beastman's animal form.

Both his father and father were majestic and beautiful in their animal forms, but Bai Ling only felt a sense of warmth and familiarity towards them. Now, seeing this white wolf, he wanted to hold it in his arms and stroke it from head to tail. Ideally, it would be like today, at sunset, when he could rest his head on the white wolf's body and watch the beautiful and vibrant sunset together.

Just imagining that scene is wonderful.

Bai Ling's breath hitched, then he shook his head. What nonsense was he thinking? If he wanted to pet the white wolf, there were several white wolf cubs in the tribe that hadn't yet transformed. Wouldn't the cubs be easier to pet than this grown-up white wolf?

Bai Ling felt a strong urge to pet it; for some reason, he felt that this white wolf was the easiest to pet and the most beautiful.

Yue ran very fast, and as he was about to enter the High Tree Tribe, he seemed to sense something and looked up in one direction.

There were several low, rolling hills, and a boy was standing there with his group.

To be precise, they were staring at him.

There were several orcs behind Yue, but Yue knew that the boy was looking at her.

Yue was already used to this kind of gaze, so he stopped paying attention to the boy and continued running towards the direction of the Tall Tree Tribe.

Zhan also transformed into its beast form. As it approached the tribe, it stopped and howled twice towards the low mountain. Soon, several small black dots appeared on the low mountain, and those dots rushed down from it. Zhan turned around, nodded to the fire behind it, and then spread its limbs and headed towards the low mountain.
