Everyone in the tribe was stuffed.

Even the cubs were allowed to eat more today. The beastmen who were full were unwilling to move. Some beastmen sat on the kang (a heated brick bed) and dozed off, while others rubbed their bellies and chatted. The children and cubs were watched by the adults as they moved around. The young beastmen, having no outlet for their energy after eating, simply transformed into their beast forms and ran and played in the snow.

Bai Ling also transformed into his beast form. He ate and slept well throughout the winter and did not do any heavy work. His beast form was well-fed and had soft, smooth fur and a strong, well-proportioned body, making him look like a healthy lion.

The other young orcs in the tribe were in good health, just like him, unlike in the past when they lacked food and were freezing cold in the winter, and were very thin when spring came.

A large group of white lions, white wolves, foxes, lynxes, long-tailed rabbits, and tigers galloped across the snow. The sheer force of their group was terrifying. As they galloped, they kicked up countless snowflakes, which were then lifted into the air and fell back down. Soon, a lot of snowflakes were on their bodies.

Friendly orcs chased and played together, and some orcs deliberately ran under trees, waiting for their friends to catch up. Then one orc would kick the tree trunk, causing the trunk and branches to shake. The snow accumulated on the tree fell like a blizzard, and the orcs who didn't have time to react were hit squarely.

The orc who had run to the tree first had already run away. His plan had succeeded, and the orc raised his head and howled, only to be knocked down on the snow by his friend, who was furious.

Some orcs were thrashing about together, with smaller orcs jumping directly onto the backs of larger orcs, their claws gripping the larger orcs' fur tightly, just like drivers holding the steering wheel, directing the larger orcs to run around the square.

Bai Ling and Yue strolled slowly along the edge of the square, walking side by side with a distance between them. Bai Ling kept making "Awoo," "Woo-woo," "Awoo," and "Awoo-woo" noises as it walked, while Yue would occasionally respond with a call.

The snowman they had built was still standing intact in the square. Bai Ling let out two "howls" and walked towards the snowman, with Yue following behind it.

Bai Ling circled the three snowmen twice, then raised her paw and pressed her paw print onto one of the snowmen.

The white-haired beast was tall and had large claws, almost as big as a small ceramic basin. Its large claw prints on the snowman looked like a flower carved on the snowman, which looked funny and comical to others.

But Bai Ling thought it looked very nice. It circled the three snowmen again, then walked up to Yue, gently shook its head, blinked its obsidian-like eyes, and let out a few "Awoooooo" sounds.

Bai Ling: Yue, you can put your paws on it too, it's really fun.

Moonlight's icy blue eyes appeared even colder in the snow. It let out two soft "woofs" and then walked gracefully to the snowman where Bai Ling had left his paw print. It slowly raised its left front paw and gently pressed its paw print onto the snowman.

A small portion of its claw print overlapped with Bai Ling's claw print, making it look as if two claws were holding two fingers.

A silly smile appeared on Bai Lingmeng's face. It raised its paw and pressed a paw print on another big snowman.

After pressing the paw print, Bai Ling let out two "howls" at Yue, urging her to press her paw print on as well.

Yue didn't say anything, but silently stepped forward and pressed his claw print onto the snowman. This time, part of his claw print still covered Bai Ling's claw print.

The little snowman in the very center is still being held by the hands of the two big snowmen beside him, as if he is being protected by the two big snowmen in the middle.

Bai Ling stepped forward and gently pressed her paw print onto the little snowman's belly.

Bai Ling's claws were too big. When she pressed down, they took up most of the little snowman's belly. When Yue came over to press her claw print, she could only press most of her own claw print onto Bai Ling's claw print.

Bai Ling and Yue's paw prints resembled five blooming plum blossoms, which were firmly imprinted on the little snowman's belly, overlapping and merging with each other, perfectly branded onto the little snowman's body.

The New Year celebration lasts all day. Orcs eat and drink all day. When they are full, they go out to digest their food. When they are tired from playing, they come back to eat. They will keep eating until their stomachs are so full that they can't hold anything else.

This year was the best and most abundant year for the beastmen. Bai Ling and his people prepared a lot of food, and he thought there would be plenty left over, but in the end, almost nothing was left.

Except for the elderly and children who dared not eat too much, everyone else ate so much they could barely walk, even Bai Ling ate until her belly was round.

On New Year's Day, the beastmen will stay up a little later. Some tribesmen will brave the cold wind to take a walk outside to digest their food, while others will sit on the kang (a heated brick bed) and not want to move, chatting lazily with their fellow tribesmen.

Bai Ling didn't go for a walk. He was too tired to go out for a walk.

Bai Ling leaned against the fire wall, closed his eyes to rest, and mentally planned what he needed to do in the coming period of time.

This year he needs to build a house and farm, so he needs to make the necessary tools. Once he finishes these, the weather will be warm enough for him to go out and find suitable trees for the roof beams and prepare wood for making furniture. Once the snow and ice have completely melted, he will start farming. Farming is not difficult; he can simply transform into his beast form at that time.

After plowing the fields, it will take some time before the seeds can be planted. In the next few days, he can build the brick kiln. Brick making is simple, but glass making will take more effort. Lime and cement also need to be produced, and doors and windows need to be prepared in advance. Only when everything is ready can he start building the house.

Now that the houses are built and the fields are planted, we need to take some time to visit the Longhorn Tribe and transplant more of their bamboo, as bamboo is very useful.

If there's time, we should also make bows and arrows, which will be very useful for the hunting team. We should also see if we can make paper. It would be best to go to the surrounding tribes and see if we can find anything that can be used for weaving.

Of the four basic necessities of life—clothing, food, shelter, and transportation—clothing comes first. While food can be obtained through farming and animal husbandry, and houses can be built, solving the problem of clothing becomes paramount.

If only we could find cotton or something similar to cotton, we could not only weave fabric but also make more cold-resistant and warm winter clothes.

Thinking about it this way, there really is a lot to do, and I still don't have enough time.

Bai Ling sighed softly. He had to take it one step at a time; you can't rush things.
