Demon Progenitor Development Project
Chapter 84 Tamayo's Pitiful Fate
Muzan was unhappy because he was rejected, and Tamayo was even more unhappy because she was transformed.
Or perhaps they are living a very miserable life and have fallen into a state of depression.
After recovering from her insatiable appetite following the act of eating humans, Tamayo looked at the skeleton in her hands with terror in her eyes as human limbs fell to the ground.
The severed limb was torn directly from a human body, still attached to clothing.
She recognized him; he was a neighbor she knew very well.
She was a kind and friendly woman who gave her a lot of advice on living in the neighborhood when she first moved here.
Tamayo and she had a very good relationship; they were friends who often chatted and talked.
Tamayo, the demon, was the first to find her familiar friend and devour her friend's entire family.
What a hellish friendship!
Tamayo knelt down in terror, backing away in fear, clutching her throat repeatedly, trying to vomit.
A strong feeling of nausea and guilt welled up inside her, causing Tamayo to vomit uncontrollably, but she couldn't vomit anything except stomach acid.
For a newly born ghost, it is impossible to vomit up the flesh it has eaten.
Human limb: ...You killed me, what are you cowardly for!
The kind-hearted Tamayo simply could not accept the fact that she had eaten a person.
Yang Tai still has a husband, doesn't she?
Will I eat them too?
Terrified by the horrifying thought, Tamayo quickly got up and looked around. Shocked by everything in front of her, Tamayo had no idea that she could not only run, but also run at an extraordinary speed.
Fortunately, Yota was nearby, and the young demon was tearing at the piece of flesh in his arms, his mouth covered in blood.
Tamayo was stunned.
Yota's body size has shrunk, resembling that of a three- or four-year-old child, except that he has grown several extra arms. These arms are slender and long, and are taller than Yota himself, making him look extremely disproportionate.
The pieces of flesh were so small that it was obvious they were from a child's body.
"Yota! Don't eat it!" Tamayo quickly snatched the corpse from Yota's hands.
She didn't want her child to continue committing such sins.
"Roar!" Yang Tai, who had not yet regained his senses, roared and refused to let go. He felt that this fellow human was trying to steal his food and clung to the piece of meat tightly.
The body was torn in two, and blood was spilled all over the ground.
When Yang Tai saw his food being taken away, he roared like a wild beast, arching his back as if to attack. But when he smelled a very familiar medicinal fragrance, he hesitated involuntarily.
Feeling a strong sense of resistance, the agitated Yota simply ran away.
"Yota? Yota?"
Tamayo called out her child's name in sorrow, but Yota, now a demon, ignored her and nimbly ran away like a spider, clinging to the wall.
Zhu Shi hurriedly followed, running across the snow, but instead of finding the child, she saw her husband.
Her husband has changed too.
In stark contrast to the balcony, Tamayo's husband had swelled up several sizes, becoming a muscular hunk who looked like he could kill someone with a single punch!
At this moment, Tamayo's husband was also eating, his posture becoming even wilder. His sharp teeth directly crushed the human heads that were stuffed into his mouth, swallowing people bit by bit like a snake.
Tamayo, trembling all over, let out a mournful cry.
That man!
No, what exactly did that monster turn them into?
He recovered from his illness, but his family ended up like this?
She should have just died...
Tamayo's once gentle purple eyes were now filled with deep regret.
After that, Tamayo tried every means to control her husband and Yota to prevent them from eating people.
But even she herself found it difficult to control herself.
That night, Zhu Shi managed to tie up her husband and child and hide them in the cellar.
(Tamayo received the most HP, the others were just incidental, Yota received the least HP and was the weakest.)
He watched from afar as Muzan read Tamayo's thoughts, and sneered inwardly.
If you still can't accept reality and don't resort to cannibalism, then even the greatest talent is wasted.
Muzan's crimson eyes were filled with indifference, and he had already decided to give up on Tamayo.
Well, let's let this female doctor experience the harsh realities of life first.
The Demon Slayer Corps won't let them get away with this.
After that, Tamayo began to enjoy nightlife.
Those around her noticed that Dr. Tamayo had resumed her clinic duties, but she had changed; she always looked very worried.
How could one not be worried when they go out to steal corpses at night?
Tamayo discovers that if they don't eat people, they, as demons, cannot maintain their rationality and will only act like wild beasts, even starting to eat themselves when they are extremely hungry.
Unable to bear watching her husband and child die, Tamayo had no choice but to steal the corpses.
"I'm sorry, I can't give you all a proper burial." Tamayo silently carried the bodies back to the city, tears streaming down her face.
But this is not a long-term solution.
The demons' voracious appetite for humans led Tamayo to frequently venture out, making her discovery inevitable.
"Dr. Tamayo is actually a man-eating monster!"
"I hope they won't dox me because of the prescription she gave me, ugh—"
"I knew it! How could a woman like Tamayo become a doctor..."
"Kill them!"
Unfortunately, there is a huge gap in strength between demons and humans, and they cannot be defeated by an ordinary rabble.
In the end, Tamayo had no choice but to leave her hometown with her husband and children and begin wandering around.
However, unlike Tamayo who was able to successfully blend into the human world, Yota and her husband both had such distinct demonic features that they were very easy to spot.
As a demon, one is inevitably hunted down by the Demon Slayer Corps.
Her husband died protecting her and Yota.
They weren't particularly strong demons to begin with, and Tamayo even restricted her husband and children's food intake, maintaining only the bare minimum.
Tamayo could only run away with the balcony in tears, her heart filled with hatred for both Muzan Kibutsuji and the Demon Slayer Corps.
Why wouldn't you even listen to an explanation before wanting to kill them without hesitation?

In my opinion, it's more tragic for Tamayo's entire family to become ghosts than for Tamayo alone to become a ghost. It's a much longer and more painful experience, filled with constant fear and anxiety, with the worry that she and her child will be killed every day.
At this point in the original story, Tamayo was with Muzan, so of course she wouldn't be chased by the Demon Slayer Corps.
