Tragically, Eiji Ubuyashiki was forced to choose the second option.

I just saw Fujiwara Shugo through [Tokuko's] eyes and was about to pack my bags and run away when I was blocked as soon as I stepped out the door.

Ubuyashiki Eiji: ...You shouldn't be greedy.

He was filled with regret; without the aid of Muzan's blood for so long, all his research had come to a standstill.

Moreover, the effects of the blood that was stolen seem to have expired.

He has been aging rapidly lately.

His once incredibly strong body now seems to have had its spine removed, and its strength is slowly and quietly slipping away.

The vibrant life force that once filled his body was slowly flowing out of his fingertips like quicksand. No matter how hard he tried to grasp it, he could only watch helplessly as it left.

As time went by, wrinkles, like the claw marks of a demon, silently crept onto his face. Every deep and shallow furrow was a merciless mark etched by the years.

Whenever he saw the still youthful Muzan Kibutsuji, showing no signs of aging, Eiji Ubuyashiki felt immense jealousy and hatred.

Shugo had already sent demons to surround the area, and after learning that the opponent was a psycho-type, he sent even more people to prevent psycho-type backstab techniques.

With a series of rumbling sounds, Shugo forcibly broke through the walls using spatial rifts, and walked in a straight line. He glanced indifferently at Ubuyashiki Eiji, his eyes showing no surprise.

Remembering the other's scent, Demolition Office Shuugo followed his senses and entered the room first, taking Muzan Neko into his arms.

After a quick check, no major problems were found, and Shugo breathed a sigh of relief.

Shugo, holding the still-sleeping cat, looked coldly at Ubuyashiki Eiji.

The elderly Ubuyashiki Eiji had already taken the opportunity to disappear without a trace.

All the passages in front of him were blocked, and even the white flesh was growing towards him.

The pale flesh walls also secreted a translucent corrosive liquid.

For a moment, Shugo felt as if he were inside the stomach of some terrifying creature, about to be slowly digested by gastric juices.

But it doesn't matter.

They're here to demolish houses anyway.

Shugo slowly raised his hand, and with a gentle wave of his long fingers, a huge, bottomless, pitch-black vortex appeared out of thin air!

The vortex, like the gaping maw of a ferocious beast, clung tightly to the wall covered in pale flesh.

As the vortex appeared, an incredibly powerful attraction suddenly erupted.

The white fleshy pieces that had been firmly attached to the wall began to tremble as if they had lost their foundation.

Immediately afterwards, they were unable to resist the terrifying suction force and one by one they broke off from the wall and flew towards the vortex like raindrops.

As soon as these white chunks of flesh entered the vortex, they were immediately churned and torn by the high-speed rotation within.

All that could be heard were chilling cracking sounds echoing all around. The chunks of flesh were instantly pulverized into countless tiny pieces of meat and blood that splattered everywhere.

The pull of the vortex grew stronger and stronger, and even the exceptionally solid stone walls could not escape it.

Faced with this invincible force, fine cracks began to appear on the stone wall, and they quickly spread and expanded.

Finally, with a dull thud, the entire solid stone wall was torn off by this powerful attraction and crashed into the vortex, where it was instantly pulverized into dust.

Eiji Ubuyashiki is not the biggest problem. Rats in the sewers will be exposed to the sun and die. He is no longer a concern.

The most troublesome thing is this strange creature that has taken over the entire underground cave.

This life form was simply the most bizarre and chaotic creature that Shugo had ever seen.

What were clearly just white chunks of flesh, when viewed with the "Harmony of Man and Nature" setting, revealed the structures of insects, arthropods, aquatic species, mammals, and even plants within them.

It looks like it was haphazardly pieced together after being broken up. It would probably take a group of biologists specializing in different fields to identify the structural components from this blood and flesh jigsaw puzzle.

Moreover, this strange creature clearly possessed its own consciousness.

In that dark and gloomy cave, as the spatial vortex shattered everything around it, chilling howls echoed endlessly.

"Aaaaaa——"

It sounded exactly like a woman screaming as she was being thrown into a shredder.

Moreover, upon closer inspection, Shugo could sense that the consciousness of this unknown life form was extremely chaotic.

Such silence can only mean that something is being suppressed.

It could only have been made by Eiji Ubuyashiki.

As he walked on the pale earth, Ubuyashiki Eiji suddenly coughed up a mouthful of blood.

[Dezi] can't hold back any longer.

Damn!

What exactly did Fujiwara Shugo do to drive Tokuko mad?

Ubuyashiki Eiji looked extremely unwell, his face turning even paler.

As his physical functions declined with age, the effectiveness of his mental blood demon magic also decreased.

In gaming terms, this means that increased mana consumption leads to decreased skill power and reduced skill precision.

We need to think of a solution.

Ubuyashiki Eiji carried a large urn filled with Muzan's blood and moved with incredible speed.

As Dezi eats more and more, mind control becomes increasingly difficult.

In his current state, it's impossible for him to perform precise operations on [Dezi].

It's already a struggle to keep it from going crazy.

How can we make Dezi shrink her size to avoid being attacked?

No, without Tokuko to stop Fujiwara no Shugo, he would surely die.

To sacrifice part of one's physical body to hinder the other party.

A wall appeared before them.

With a thought from Ubuyashiki Eiji, the flesh and blood wall automatically parted to create a small doorway just wide enough for one person to pass through.

Just as Eiji Ubuyashiki was about to enter, he suddenly screamed in surprise.

A severed arm fell to the ground.

As the figure drew ever closer, Eiji Ubuyashiki felt the excruciating pain of his severed arm and clearly realized that he had nowhere to retreat.

So there's only one last option left.
