Chapter 1221 Transcendence, Author, I've found you!
This feeling is indescribable, as if one is the Tao, as if one is everything.
All living beings, all worlds, and all causes and effects became meaningless in his eyes.
With a single thought, he can bring everything within the Great Dao to a standstill; with a single thought, he can also return the Great Dao to chaos.
However, it was at this very moment that Li Haotian sensed the endless, pure nothingness beyond the Great Dao.
What was once thought to be an endless, all-encompassing path now seemed to have become a thin layer of window paper.
With just a gentle touch, one can penetrate through and see the unknown behind that void.
Or rather, to reach a state of true transcendence.
"Transcendence, is this what transcendence is?"
Li Haotian murmured.
At this moment, he truly understood what the transcendence of the previous generation of "Heaven" really meant.
Without reaching that level, it's impossible to understand.
Even he and the source were only part of the Dao before, and even if they received the information, they couldn't understand it.
He originally thought that transcendence was a form of sublimation, and that its essence was still within the Tao, but he never expected it.
Beyond the Dao, there is something else that exists.
This forced Li Haotian to take it seriously.
So he began to use the power of the Great Dao to conduct endless deductions, trying to see through the truth behind that void.
But all the deductions were in vain.
He could know every detail of everything within the Great Dao in an instant, even the ripples from countless tribulations before the Dao, the trajectory of which was clearly visible.
But outside of the Great Dao, no deduction can be made, and no information can be obtained. In fact, the Great Dao itself has no concept of anything outside of it.
After all, according to his previous definition of the Dao, the Dao is the sum of everything, and there should be nothing outside of the Dao.
"Could it be that the Dao I am currently in control of is not the ultimate Dao? Then wasn't my previous advancement just a matter of 'stacking boxes' to achieve a higher level?"
Li Haotian immediately thought of this absurd possibility.
Anyone would find it hard to accept such a fact.
Although it seemed absurd, and most people would find it hard to accept, the facts were undeniable. Even Li Haotian couldn't help but believe it.
However, Li Haotian was not anxious or worried at all, because he could find the missing information left by the previous "Tian".
He had known about the existence of "transcendence" for a long time, but at that time he did not understand what form "heaven's" transcendence took.
Now that we have witnessed the emptiness beyond the Dao with our own eyes and felt the existence of that "window paper," we can see the truth.
Li Haotian naturally wanted to break through this constraint and reach a state of true transcendence, just like the previous generation of "Tian".
"But how can I transcend this?"
Li Haotian fell into deep thought.
As he pondered, countless spaces and times were created and destroyed in an instant within the Great Dao.
Countless universes evolved and collapsed in the process of deduction, and the rules of the Great Dao were all affected by his thoughts, causing subtle fluctuations.
However, even after pondering for countless chaotic eons, he still hadn't found a way to transcend.
During this period, he conducted countless experiments.
To establish an absolutely perfect order, to evolve unique universes, to create beings that transcend existing laws, and even to attempt to change the very essence of the Great Dao...
But all efforts could not reach the void beyond the Tao, nor could they penetrate that seemingly thin "window paper".
People who were originally related to him in the original world and the derived world, such as his parents, his second grandfather Qing Songzi, and others.
He had long since infused it with a massive amount of primal power, elevating it to an unprecedented level.
These people's realm is only one level below the origin and the end, that is, the original him and the source.
With a wave of their hand, they could create or destroy endless worlds, living an incredibly comfortable life.
But all of this is meaningless for Li Haotian's path to transcendence.
Because although they are powerful, they are still within the Dao and cannot change the essence of the Dao.
Let alone helping him break through that "window paper", it's even difficult to sense the origin of the Great Dao.
After countless failed attempts, Li Haotian did not get discouraged, but instead relaxed his mindset.
The experiment continued, and he himself chose to restart countless timelines, returning to the origin of everything.
Within a certain point in time.
"Second Master, aren't you afraid of getting complaints from tourists if you keep posting videos all day?"
Inside Mingtai Temple, sunlight streams through the ancient window frames, illuminating the bluestone floor.
Li Haotian looked at Qing Songzi, who was sitting on the side of the main hall, legs crossed, leisurely scrolling through videos on his phone, and couldn't help but laugh and tease him.
This time, he didn't encounter the fate-changing car accident, but instead arrived at the Mingtai Temple where Second Master Qingsongzi lived.
Of course, the Second Master and Li Haotian here are not their original forms, but rather projections of them.
The real Qing Songzi was already a Dao Ancestor-level being in the Endless Dao Domain, ruling over a region's origin and living a very comfortable life.
"Complain? Let them file a complaint, I don't care."
Upon hearing Li Haotian's words, Qing Songzi waved his hand and laughed without even looking up.
He is the owner of Mingtai Temple, so even if tourists complain, it's useless. Even if they complain to the Taoist Association, none of the younger generation dare to do anything about it.
"Xiao Tian, come and take a look! This video and novel are really interesting!"
Qing Songzi suddenly patted the stone bench next to him and said with great interest.
"Look at this protagonist, he travels to ancient times, fights monsters and levels up all the way, and finally becomes the emperor."
And then there's this one, who transmigrated to a cultivation world, found a secret manual, and rose through the ranks to become an immortal venerable...
If time travel really existed, I'd love to try it out—to travel into a book or a TV series, and experience a different life!
Qing Songzi watched the videos with great interest, her eyes filled with longing.
"Transmigrating into a book? Time travel!"
Upon hearing Qing Songzi's words, Li Haotian's heart skipped a beat.
In an instant, this projected memory, this ordinary scene in time and space, was captured by Li Haotian at the core of the Great Dao.
"Yes, time travel. Wasn't it because of time travel that I embarked on this path in the first place? That's my origin."
Li Haotian suddenly felt enlightened and couldn't help but sigh.
"It's like being blinded by a leaf, unable to see Mount Tai."
He had been searching for a way to transcend the Tao, but he had overlooked his original starting point.
Having figured this out, Li Haotian no longer hesitated and voluntarily dispersed all the primal power that controlled the Great Dao.
Looking towards the boundary of the Great Road from the perspective of a pure "observer," just like when we first crossed it.
In an instant, in Li Haotian's vision, the originally boundless Great Road transformed into countless lit, square crystal screens.
These crystal screens are densely covered with countless words, which are all his experiences along the way.
From the initial transmigration to the subsequent trials across countless worlds, to the struggle against the Source, and finally to becoming "Heaven," the entire process unfolds.
Beyond the crystal screen, he could vaguely see blurry human faces.
They saw some unfamiliar items that did not belong to the Dao, and also sensed a faint will that controlled the contents of the crystal screen.
Li Haotian carefully sensed and searched, not knowing how much time had passed.
Finally, through countless layers of crystal screens, he saw those special eyes hidden deep within, controlling the entire plot.
And that blurry presence editing text on the crystal screen.
In that instant, Li Haotian laughed, his voice piercing through the crystal screen:
"Author, I've found you!"

Author's Closing Remarks:
Thank you all for your support along the way. This book has been in the works for over a year now. Although the ending was a bit rushed, I no longer have the desire to continue writing it.
I originally wanted to write about the Investiture of the Gods, but I found it a bit bloated, so I thought it would be better to end it sooner and start a new book. I will update some side stories later, so feel free to check them out if you're interested.
The book's grades were so-so; although the score wasn't high, I was still quite satisfied.
As longtime readers may know, this book had a major flaw in its early stages. Although it was later revised, the score was also released, resulting in an initial score of only 6.something.
This score is the result of my persistent writing.
I considered giving up at one point, but seeing how many readers liked it, I persevered.
The current success is all thanks to the readers, and I didn't spend a single penny on advertising this book. The scores are genuine, and I'm very satisfied with the results so far.
This is also the first book that I have truly finished. I really didn't expect to be able to stick with it for so long and write more than two million words. I really admire myself *^_^*.
I would like to express my deepest gratitude to the readers who have been with me all along, and especially to the fans who helped me correct mistakes and ask questions, making the book more perfect and allowing me to accumulate a lot of experience.
In short, thank you all for your support. My next book has been conceived and is expected to be released in the middle to late part of this month. It will be a story about the origins of things. I hope you will continue to support it.
Finally, I wish you all the best and that everything goes smoothly. Goodbye.
P.S.: The author was not possessed.
