Three days later, Zhao Mingyuan indeed came again.

This time he brought a thick stack of documents, along with a middle-aged man wearing glasses.

"Mr. Li, this is our company's CFO, Lao Wang." Zhao Mingyuan lowered his stance even further. "The asset list has been compiled."

Li Xiangyang took the documents and casually flipped through a few pages. Machinery and equipment, factory rentals, raw material inventory... the densely packed numbers were dazzling.

"Vice President Zhao, let's stop beating around the bush," Li Xiangyang said, closing the file. "So, how exactly do you intend to sell it?"

Zhao Mingyuan and the CFO exchanged a glance, then Zhao gritted his teeth and said, "Mr. Li, to be honest, we urgently need working capital. If you're willing to take over our investment project here, we can transfer it at cost price."

"Cost price?" Ma Qingfu interjected. "Then you've all worked for nothing?"

The CFO pushed up his glasses and said with a wry smile, "It's better to work for nothing than to lose everything."

Li Xiangyang stood up and paced back and forth in the room. The factory Jin Yuan built across from the county seat was indeed in a good location, and the equipment was all new. If they could acquire it, their production capacity could at least double.

"Was the factory building purchased or rented?" Li Xiangyang asked.

"We bought it," Zhao Mingyuan quickly replied. "To show our sincerity, we bought the land directly."

"Where's the equipment?"

“They’re all new, some are still unopened,” the CFO added. “At market value, they’re worth at least three hundred thousand.”

Li Xiangyang secretly calculated in his mind. The price was indeed very tempting, but he couldn't appear too eager.

"How much funding do you need?" Li Xiangyang sat down again.

Zhao Mingyuan held up two fingers: "Five hundred thousand, and we can get through this crisis."

"Five hundred thousand to buy all your assets over there?" Ma Qingfu's eyes widened.

“Yes,” Zhao Mingyuan nodded, “including the factory buildings, equipment, and raw material inventory.”

The room fell silent for a moment. The price was indeed far below market value, but Li Xiangyang knew this was the cruel reality of the business world: the strong get stronger, and the weak get weaker.

"Mr. Li, what do you think?" Zhao Mingyuan asked tentatively.

Li Xiangyang picked up his teacup and took a slow sip: "Vice President Zhao, the price is acceptable, but I have one condition."

“You say.”

“Those skilled workers you poached before, they must come over here.” Li Xiangyang put down his teacup. “People are our most valuable asset.”

Zhao Mingyuan said with difficulty, "This... I'm afraid it's not easy to handle. Those workers still have contracts."

“The contract is transferable,” Li Xiangyang said calmly. “Or you can choose to pay damages for breach of contract.”

The CFO whispered a few words in Zhao Mingyuan's ear, and Zhao Mingyuan's face turned even uglier.

"Mr. Li, to be honest, we can't even pay our workers' wages right now," Zhao Mingyuan said with a wry smile. "If you were willing to take over, those workers would be more than happy to do so."

Li Xiangyang's heart skipped a beat. It seemed that Jin Yuan's situation was worse than he had imagined.

“Alright, let’s go check it out in person tomorrow.” Li Xiangyang stood up. “If everything is true, the deal can go ahead.”

After seeing Jin Yuan's people off, Ma Qingfu rubbed his hands together excitedly: "Xiangyang, this is like a pie falling from the sky!"

The next morning, Li Xiangyang brought Ma Qingfu and Ma Laosan to the factory that Jin Yuan had built in the county.

Li Xiangyang carefully checked the equipment list and talked to the workers who were owed wages. Just as Zhao Mingyuan had said, these workers were now hoping for a new boss to take over.

“Mr. Li, we are all skilled workers. As long as we are paid, we will work hard.” said an older skilled worker.

"Don't worry, your salary will definitely be paid on time," Li Xiangyang patted him on the shoulder, "and it will be higher than before."

That afternoon, both parties signed a transfer agreement in the presence of the county government. Li Xiangyang paid a deposit of 100,000 yuan on the spot, with the remaining amount to be paid within a week.

The news quickly spread throughout the county. Jinyuan Industry, a powerful outsider, had actually been defeated by the local Li Xiangyang, not only suffering a crushing defeat but also handing over the factory that they had worked so hard to build.

That evening, Liu Jianjun made a special trip to Li Xiangyang's home to offer his congratulations.

"Mr. Li, that was a brilliant move!" Liu Jianjun raised his glass. "Even the county leaders say that local companies are the most reliable."

"Director Liu, you flatter me." Li Xiangyang raised his glass as well. "This time, we owe a great deal to the county's support."

"Don't mention it, it's mainly because General Manager Li is capable." Liu Jianjun downed his drink in one gulp. "Now it's great, with this new factory, our county's agricultural product processing capacity will at least double."

“That’s for sure,” Li Xiangyang said with a smile. “But Director Liu, I have another idea.”

“You say.”

“Now that the factory has expanded, I’d like to apply to establish an agricultural product processing park,” Li Xiangyang said, putting down his wine glass. “We welcome other companies to set up operations there, not just for our own products.”

Liu Jianjun's eyes lit up: "Does President Li mean... to expand and strengthen the company?"

“Exactly.” Li Xiangyang nodded. “Dominating the market isn’t a real skill; driving the development of the entire industry is the real skill.”

A week later, Li Xiangyang paid the remaining amount as agreed and officially took over Jinyuan's factory.

Standing in the new factory building, looking at the equipment being installed and debugged, Li Xiangyang was filled with emotion.

From setting traps to catch rabbits in the snow at the beginning of his rebirth to now owning two modern factories, the journey has been full of challenges, but every step has been taken steadily.

"Dad, this place is so big!" Li Wangchen said, holding Li Xiangyang's hand and looking around the factory with curiosity.

“Yes, it’s very big.” Li Xiangyang squatted down and patted his son’s head. “When you grow up, it might get even bigger.”

Just then, Ma Qingfu ran over, his face beaming with excitement: "Xiangyang, great news! Those big clients in the south heard we've expanded production and they're all going to increase their orders!"

"How much exactly?" Li Xiangyang stood up and asked.

"Conservatively speaking, it will at least double its current value!" Ma Qingfu gestured. "It seems that acquiring Jinyuan's factory this time was definitely the right decision!"

Looking out at the green mountains and clear waters, Li Xiangyang felt a surge of pride.

This is just the beginning. There are many more opportunities to come.

"Fatty, tell everyone, we're having a celebration tomorrow." Li Xiangyang turned around, his eyes gleaming. "Our good days are just beginning."

The celebration was a lively and enthusiastic affair.

Workers from both the old and new factories gathered together, and Li Xiangyang announced several decisions in public: First, all workers' wages would be increased by 20%; second, bonuses would be awarded at the end of the year based on output; and third, key technical personnel could invest and receive dividends.

These announcements were met with thunderous applause.
