There is a beast in the bright morning.

Chapter 8 Return Trip to the Deer Shop

Hao Chen stared intently at the seven-colored smoke, while his divine power began to circulate within him, ready to respond to any attack.

The reason Hao Chen was so nervous was because the figure in the smoke put immense pressure on him.

Hao Chen instructed Tian Lu behind him, "Tian Lu, be careful. I feel that figure is not simple. Be prepared. If we can't beat him, we'll have to run away."

Tianlu nodded, then looked at Jinjiao and Yinjiao beside him, gesturing with his eyes for them to sit on his back. Jinjiao and Yinjiao understood what Tianlu meant and immediately climbed onto his back.

"So, have all those captured mythical beasts and monsters been rescued?" Tianlu asked Jinjiao.

Golden Horn nodded, then took a nut out of his mouth and said, "Don't worry, they are safe now. My brother and I have put them into the Purple Gold Nut."

At that moment, as the figure in the smoke drew closer, Hao Chen and Tian Lu were able to see his face clearly.

The newcomer was a middle-aged bald man, shirtless. His bronze skin didn't give him a particularly strong appearance, but Hao Chen sensed a faint threat in the man's sinister eyes.

While Hao Chen was observing the man, the man was also observing Hao Chen and his companions.

Before Hao Chen could speak, the man attacked first, glaring at Hao Chen and shouting angrily, "You little brats have quite the nerve! Not only have you trespassed into the territory of my Great Sage Xie Yu, but you've also dared to disturb my master!"

As Xie Yu the Great Sage spoke, a powerful pressure erupted from his body, directly enveloping Hao Chen and the others.

Fortunately, when Hao Chen sensed this pressure, he instantly activated his Yin-Yang Dao, and the Yin and Yang energies that evolved were like two divine dragons that kept swirling around Hao Chen and the others, constantly offsetting the pressure from Xie Yu the Great Sage.

Although Xie Yu Dasheng had not released his full pressure, he was still somewhat surprised to see how easily the other party had withstood it.

He then looked at Hao Chen and the others, or more precisely, at Hao Chen in front of him. He could tell that Hao Chen was the one who had mainly resisted his pressure.

Seemingly having some reservations, Xie Yu pointed at Hao Chen and said, "You can leave now."

Hao Chen didn't move upon hearing this, but turned around to look at Tian Lu, Jin Jiao, and Yin Jiao behind him, because the other party said that he alone could leave, not that they could leave.

Hao Chen's meaning was clear: he wanted to take his companions with him. Xie Yu was not surprised by this, but he did not want to let them go.

So Xie Yu spoke again: "I said you can leave now!"

Upon hearing this, Hao Chen immediately shook his head and said to Xie Yu, "We came together, so naturally we should go back together."

Xie Yu sneered and said, "Oh? What do you think this place is? A place you can come and go as you please?"

Upon hearing this, Hao Chen's face darkened, and he said, "Since that's the case, let's have a match!"

Xie Yu snorted and said, "You think you're worthy to have a go at it?"

Hao Chen provoked him, "Are you scared?"

"Haha, afraid? I, Xie Yu, the Great Sage, have cultivated for ten thousand years, and I don't even know what fear is!"

As he spoke, Xie Yu turned his gaze to Hao Chen and Tian Lu, a glint of greed flashing in his eyes.

He saw the vibrant life force emanating from Hao Chen and Tian Lu, and thought that perhaps with just the two of them, he could activate the altar and help his master fulfill his last wish.

Therefore, Xie Yu activated the Holy Dao Laws within his body and stretched out a hand towards Hao Chen. His palm grew larger and larger in the air, with countless raindrops of light within it, like stars rising and falling, or like a universe falling down, pressing down on people to the point of suffocation.

Hao Chen originally wanted to help Tian Lu avoid the attack, but under its power, his body swayed and he staggered, as if he were carrying the entire universe on his back, feeling somewhat powerless.

Under Hao Chen's control, the two Yin-Yang dragons around him circled and flew towards Xie Yu's palm. However, no matter how the Yin-Yang dragons roared, they could not break through the palm and could only slow down the speed of the palm's fall.

What shocked Hao Chen even more was that this space had already been sealed off by Xie Yu. If he didn't break the palm in front of him, he wouldn't be able to escape into the space.

"Damn it, what the hell is this? There's nothing like this in the comics! I'm going to die!"

Hao Chen inwardly groaned, but when he turned around and saw Tian Lu's worried eyes, he couldn't help but sigh, "Is Tian Lu worried about me? Oh well, I'll just have to try!"

"Come and fight!" Hao Chen shouted, his body shimmering with runes—the foundation of the immortal Great Dao.

At this moment, Hao Chen seemed to enter a wondrous state, his body emitting a dazzling light that blocked Xie Yu's palm print.

"Oh, that's interesting. It's a pity you're still too young. If you were given time to grow up, I'm afraid I really wouldn't be able to control you."

Xie Yu exclaimed in surprise, while simultaneously increasing the output of his divine power. His palm continued to slowly descend, bringing with it endless pressure.

The next moment, a Yin-Yang Sea suddenly appeared behind Hao Chen. The terrifying Yin-Yang power instantly blasted Tian Lu and Jin Jiao and Yin Jiao away, scaring them into screaming.

But Hao Chen didn't seem to hear Tian Lu's cry at this moment, as if he had lost consciousness. However, the yin and yang aura on his body became stronger and stronger, and even Xie Yu could feel the pressure from Hao Chen.

This made Xie Yu feel uneasy, but before he could do anything, phantom images of living beings kept appearing in the Yin-Yang Sea behind Hao Chen: true dragons, Kunpeng, immortal phoenixes, Qilin...

But in the end, everything disappeared, leaving only a towering figure. This figure's appearance was obscured, yet it brought Xie Yu endless pressure.

The figure resembled an ancient deity, with the sky above his head, yin and yang beneath his feet, the sun and moon rising and falling on his shoulders, and a chaotic universe on his back.

"Roar!!!"

With a roar from the divine phantom, Xie Yu's palm, which exerted terrifying pressure on Hao Chen and the others as vast as the universe, exploded instantly.

"This this……"

Even though Xie Yu was a Great Sage and had cultivated for nearly ten thousand years, he had never seen this strange phenomenon before. Just one glance made him feel that his Great Sage Laws were unstable, as if they were about to break.

"will die……"

Xie Yu looked down at his palms and saw that they were now a bloody mess with bones visible. For the first time, he felt the sensation of death.

But then, the void suddenly trembled, and a floating ancient land slowly emerged.

The ancient site is not very large, only about a hundred meters long. In the center of the ancient site is a temple that emits a pale golden light and is extremely sacred. Accompanied by a rain of light, it makes the place appear exceptionally peaceful.

It seems to be able to resolve worldly conflicts and extinguish the murderous intent of the heavens. Here, tranquility and peace, sacredness and eeriness, evoke an indescribable feeling.

The moment it appeared, it caused the Yin-Yang Sea behind Hao Chen, along with the divine phantom, to collapse, and Hao Chen regained his consciousness.

"What just happened? And what is this thing?"

Hao Chen went to Tian Lu's side and asked what had just happened. Tian Lu said, "Hao Chen, what happened to you just now? You seemed to lose consciousness and suddenly blasted me and Jin Jiao and Yin Jiao away."

Tianlu briefly recounted what had just happened, but Haochen shook his head, indicating that he had no recollection of it.

Just then, Hao Chen suddenly noticed a figure standing quietly in front of the temple, giving Hao Chen a feeling of invincibility.

Xie Yu also saw the figure at this moment, and immediately knelt down and respectfully kowtowed, saying, "Greetings, Your Majesty."

Hao Chen noticed that the figure ignored Xie Yu and instead looked quietly into the distance, saying, "Who can take me home and bury me in my homeland?"

His tone carried a sense of loneliness and longing, as if going home had become an obsession.

Xie Yu then stood up and looked at Hao Chen, saying, "You all get out of here right now, don't disturb our master."

Upon hearing this, Hao Chen didn't delay. No one knew what might happen if they stayed any longer. He pressed his claw into the void, instantly opening a passage to the outside world. Then, he led Tianlu, Jinjiao, and Yinjiao towards the passage.

After Hao Chen and the others exited the passage and came to the outside world, they finally breathed a sigh of relief.

"Brother, we, we survived."

"Brother, that's great!"

Compared to the joy of Golden Horn and Silver Horn surviving the ordeal, Tianlu said, "That was so exciting! Haochen, when do you think we should go on another adventure?"

Judging from Tianlu's tone, he seemed to enjoy this excruciating process. Haochen immediately tapped Tianlu's head lightly: "Come on, you go if you want, I'm not going."

"Hehe, I was just saying that," Tianlu said with an embarrassed smile.

"Alright, Tianlu, now that we've completed our mission, let's head back."

"Yay! I'm going to find the Four-Unlikes for a big meal, I'm starving!" Tianlu exclaimed excitedly.

Hao Chen thought to himself, "A big meal? More like dog food!" But he could only think about it. If he told Tian Lu, Tian Lu would probably get anxious again.

After resting for a while, Hao Chen and Tian Lu led Jin Jiao and Yin Jiao toward the Deer Man Shop.

After they left, a bald monk arrived with a black dog. They were none other than Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva and Di Ting.

After the Qilin (a mythical creature) sought help from the Heavenly Court, the Heavenly Court arranged for Ksitigarbha, who was currently the most idle, to go and help. However, they were obviously too late.

Di Ting said, "Master, the heavens say they have returned to the Deer Man's shop."

"Oh dear, so we're late." Ksitigarbha was somewhat surprised, not expecting that even though he rushed as fast as he could, he was still late.

After thinking for a moment, Ksitigarbha said, "Di Ting, go to the Deer Man's shop and find out what's going on. I'll stay here and reinforce the seal here."

"Good host."
