Another rebel tried to pounce, and Russell raised his left leg and kicked the traitor to the ground.

Another rebel seized the opportunity, swinging an entrenching tool at Russell's left leg. Russell had no chance to dodge, and the shovel struck his shinbone. Fortunately, the shinbone was armored, so the damage wasn't too severe.

Enraged, Russell hurled his Fire Kirin at the rebels, knocking them to the ground.

Several Cadian warriors quickly ran over and protected Russell.

"Captain, are you alright?"

"Help me up!" Russell commanded.

Two Kadian warriors worked together to help him up.

"Captain, can you still walk?"

Russell gritted his teeth and said: No problem.

While speaking, he tried to exert force with his right leg, and the pain was not as severe. His leg had almost recovered, and at least standing on both legs was no longer a problem.

"Captain, the area inside has been basically cleared out; we have completely taken over this place!"

"Any other discoveries?"

"No?"

Russell frowned; he felt that this matter couldn't be that simple.

"Search carefully; there must be some kind of mechanism or secret passage here."

While the Cadian warriors searched carefully, Russell limped around.

A sculpture caught his attention. Why would there be a sculpture on the wall in such a spacious place? That was strange.

“Destroy it!” Russell said, pointing at the sculpture.

A Kadian warrior took out a molten bomb, placed it on the sculpture, and detonated it after the crowd was evacuated.

With a deafening roar, the sculpture was blasted into pieces, revealing a massive passageway.

Upon seeing this passage, Russell gave a slight, cold smile. It seemed the truth here would soon be revealed to the public.

The huge explosion naturally alerted the people inside.

Before Russell and his group could go inside, a mysterious figure emerged from within. It was impossible to discern the man's true appearance, as he was completely concealed within a black robe.

"Who goes there?" Russell roared.

This person looks thin and weak, but gives off a strange and dangerous feeling.

No one dared to step forward; all the Astronauts gripped their laser guns tightly, watching the newcomers warily.

No one answered Russell's question.

"Who are you? I'm asking you a question!" Russell demanded again.

The mysterious man still did not answer Russell's question.

"Fire!" Russell roared, and the Fire Kirin began firing.

A bizarre scene unfolded: an invisible barrier appeared in front of the mysterious figure, and all the lasers fired by the Astronauts struck the barrier.

"Grenade!" Russell yelled, throwing a fragmentation grenade.

"Boom!" Neither the flames from the explosion nor the shrapnel from the grenade could penetrate the defenses.

Russell was shocked to see this; it was the first time he had ever encountered such a situation.

He wasn't completely unaware of this; he was a "psychic."

He had seen some Space Marines use psionic abilities before, like that battle cleric from the Silver Knights.

Although the psionicists were all very powerful, Russell had no intention of backing down and roared: "Attack!"

The Kadian warriors charged forward madly, showing no fear of the psionicists' defensive shields.

The shield acted like a wall, blocking the advance of the Kadian warriors.

Russell slowly walked over, drew his Bloodthirster, and slashed at the psionic shield.

With a "thud," the protective shield shattered.

Not only was Russell greatly surprised, but even the mysterious man found it unbelievable.

This shield looked thin but was actually very sturdy. Even a power axe would need several blows to break it, and it would take a Space Marine to do it. But when Russell used the Blooddrinker, it was different. This weapon was naturally immune to magic, so it only took one blow to break it.

The shield shattered, and the Cadian warriors swarmed forward.

"Sizzle!" A strange sound rang out, and a dazzling light shone out.

The Kadian warriors were blasted into the air by the powerful psionic energy.

Russell, like everyone else, took several steps back.

The mysterious man raised his hand and shot a bolt of psionic lightning toward Russell.

Russell instinctively used Blood Drinker to block, but the psionic strike disappeared without a trace after hitting Blood Drinker.

The mysterious man was even more surprised, while Russell, overjoyed, gritted his teeth and charged towards him.

It started out very slowly, but then got faster and faster.

The mysterious man kept shooting lightning from his hands, but the Blood Drinker blocked it all.

Russell quickly rushed in front of the psionicist, who was shocked and hurriedly cast a psionic shield, but Russell still managed to shatter it in one go.

"What kind of weapon is this?" the psionicist asked, his voice trembling with fear.

Russell sneered: "A weapon to send you to the Western Paradise!"

"Ah!" The psionicist screamed as Russell beheaded him.

This time, we finally got a clear look at what the mysterious person looked like.

It still has the shape of a human head, but it has two horns on top of its head and its face is covered with strange scales.

"The Corruptors!" That's what the Astral Army calls these people.

"Charge in!" Russell roared and was the first to rush into the tunnel.

Soon they arrived at a narrow space.

There was a strange, huge rune on the ground, and the walls were also covered with runes. Twelve psionicists were frantically unleashing their psionic powers, and psionic energy was rampant in the room.

Although Russell didn't understand what they were doing, his intuition told him that these psionicists were up to no good.

"Quickly, kill them."

Russell charged at a psyker while yelling, and chopped off his head with a shovel.

So he's another corrupt person.

Just as Russell was about to kill another Corruptor, a small blue goblin appeared in the runes.

"Blue Demon" is Tzeentch's lowest-ranking demon.

Although this little creature is not tall and has an odd shape, with three arms and a big mouth full of fangs.

The appearance of warp demons in the real universe is something that makes them very happy.

The little blue demon cackled, and upon seeing Russell, it stretched out its enormous tongue and licked its fangs.

"Monsters!" Russell exclaimed in shock. At this moment, he finally understood that these psionic corruptors were summoning demons.

"Retreat immediately!" Russell knew he couldn't stay here any longer; he had to lead the Star Guardians away.

The Kadian warriors began to retreat frantically, and a group of little blue goblins appeared. These cheerful little demons began to run wildly in all directions, some chasing after the Kadian warriors.

The Kadian warriors retreated while firing, but the blue goblins chasing them were incredibly resilient; even when riddled with holes, their bodies quickly regenerated.

A Kadian warrior accidentally fell, and a little blue goblin rushed up and bit his leg.

The Kadian warrior screamed as his leg broke into three pieces: one foot, another inside the little blue goblin's mouth.

As Russell ran, he spoke into the communicator: "It's a monster! The monster is coming!"
