The strongest astral army in Warhammer 40K

Chapter 80 "Cunning"

Both the Silver Knights and the Name of the Shield Chapter are sub-chapters of the "Imperial Fist".

As descendants of the Imperial Fist, they should all pay their respects to Sigismund.

“Get up!” Sigismund said.

"My lord, how did you get here?" Van Grey asked.

"I led two companies to hunt down this battle moon in the Misty Starfield. After the subspace fluctuated, it disappeared. I tracked it down and came here. Why are you here?"

“We were just suppressing the rebellion in Zalaka when it suddenly appeared. The Grand Inquisitor felt that there must be strategic weapons hidden in the Battle Moon, so he sent us to destroy the Central and then dispatched the Astral Army to occupy this place.”

"Did you find anything?"

"Behind this gate are over a thousand gene seeds, but we don't know which legion they belong to. Sir, what should we do with them?"

Sigismund was silent for a moment before saying, "Give them all to the Imperial high command!"

He certainly has the right to leave these genetic seeds, but he doesn't intend to do so.

"My lord, what about us?" Van Grey asked tentatively.

"Leave this to us. You all go and take care of things on Zaraka Planet!"

Now that the Black Templar Chapter has taken over Battlemoon, the other Chapters no longer need to remain here.

Vangelei, Aksu, only by taking people away from here.

The battle within the hive city is still raging, and signs of corruption have been discovered inside.

…………

"The fighting in the hive is fierce right now. We have to fight not only the orcs but also the rebels. It will be difficult for Krieg's legion to win with just one legion. We need to send people in. You take a small team to support Krieg's legion!"

Russell nodded and said, "Okay, but there's one more thing I need to do before we leave."

"whats the matter?"

"Kayans is injured. I'll go check if he's woken up."

"Go back quickly!"

Behind the military camp was a makeshift hospital where almost all the wounded soldiers were treated.

When Russell met Cayenne, he was already awake and eating.

"Is it better?"

Kayans chuckled and said, "He won't die, but his sternum is completely shattered."

"Take good care of your injuries. I'll be leading my men into the city soon."

"It's a pity we can't fight together yet, but we don't need you to be too powerful right now to kill an orc warrior in a one-on-one fight."

Even killing an orc warrior like Kashejin in a one-on-one fight might not be possible; only superhuman warriors could do it.

"It's just luck, nothing to be surprised about."

"To be honest, with your current strength, you're no longer suitable to stay in the assault regiment. I think Kashejin is a better fit for you!"

Russell chuckled and said, "Isn't it nice to stay here? I can still fight alongside my brothers."

Kayans stopped speaking.

"Take good care of your injuries. If I manage to get out of the Nest City again, I will definitely come to see you again." Russell said, patting him on the shoulder.

Kayan nodded and said: "Take good care of yourself."

Russell returned to the camp, where a thousand Cardinal warriors had been waiting for him for some time.

“Captain Russell, these are the elite warriors I selected for you, a full thousand men,” Commander Borg introduced to Russell.

Russell glanced at them briefly and nodded, saying: "They are indeed all elites."

"Say a few words!"

"Brothers in arms, we're about to enter the hive city. I've heard the situation inside is extremely complicated, with orcs, rebels, and mutated humans. Are you ready?"

"Reporting, Captain, we are ready," the thousand men replied in unison.

Russell nodded and said, "Alright, let's go!"

Russell entered the hive world as the vanguard of the Cadian Legion.

They quickly crossed the gate and entered the hive city.

The situation inside was far from optimistic; the area was littered with signs of battle, and there were many corpses on the ground.

"Everyone be careful," Russell warned in a deep voice.

At this moment, everyone became alert and gripped their laser guns tightly.

Russell didn't know how much time had passed, but he felt that they had arrived deep in the hive city. They were now in an extremely complex maze with passages all around them.

"Captain, which way should we go?" a Cadian warrior asked Russell.

Russell looked around. He didn't know where to go, but as the captain, he had to show his brothers the way.

"Here!" After saying that, Russell quickly walked towards the widest passage.

The situation here is equally dire, with signs of battle all around, suggesting that some large creature may have fought here, as most of the surrounding walls have been smashed.

Russell was hesitating about whether the path he had chosen was right or wrong.

A roar suddenly rang out, and an orc boy burst out from a broken wall.

The massive body knocked over four Kadian warriors, and the other Kadian warriors reacted quickly and opened fire immediately.

The laser mercilessly pierced the orc boy's head.

"Watch out, everyone! There are orcs here!" a Kadian warrior shouted.

What they didn't know was that this orc boy had only managed to escape here by sheer luck, and something far more terrifying was chasing after him.

There was a deathly silence all around.

"Ah!" Without warning, a Kadian warrior screamed in agony.

"Monster!" a Kadian warrior exclaimed.

A humanoid creature appeared on the wall, with the corpse of a Kadian warrior hanging from one of its huge forepaws.

The Kadian warrior had been pierced through the chest, blood was dripping continuously, and his body was still convulsing.

This was the first time Russell had ever seen such a terrifying monster.

A blood-red tongue protruded from the monster's ugly face.

"Fire!" Russell roared as the Fire Kirin opened fire on the monster.

The monster let out a sharp roar and moved quickly along the wall, causing all of the fire qilin's shots to miss.

The other Kadian warriors were also seeing the "cunning" monster for the first time. As well-trained warriors, they were afraid but still fought back immediately.

But the cunning creature was incredibly fast. It moved swiftly along the wall, dodging the laser beams, before charging towards the Cadian warrior.

"Get out of the way!" Russell roared.

Two Kadian warriors were unable to dodge in time and were torn to pieces by the cunning claws.

"Monster, I am your match!" Russell roared angrily.

Russell had already drawn the Bloodthirster and rushed towards the thief.

The cunning fellow, of course, also discovered Russell's intentions and quickly moved closer to him.

"The Emperor's Blessing," Russell murmured to himself. The cunning fellow was too fast; he had to activate his survival skill immediately.
