Chapter 34 The Orc Invasion (5)
"Roar!" The giant axe slammed down, striking the massive steel shield with tremendous force.
The immense force caused Oglin's arm to go numb, but that was all.
With a roar, Oglin shoved his giant shield forward, forcing the orc to take a step back.
He slammed the stun baton in his right hand down on the orc warrior's head.
The orc warrior was very experienced in combat. He dodged backward, and Oglin's stun baton missed.
The orc warrior seized the opportunity and swung his giant axe at Oglin's head again.
Oglin swung the stun baton in the opposite direction and it collided with the giant axe.
Both of them were forced back a step by the immense force.
"Roar!" The orc warrior roared once more and charged at Oglin.
The two were evenly matched and neither could gain the upper hand for the time being.
While the orc warriors were locked in combat with Oglin, the orc lads swarmed over.
A squad of Kadian warriors charged towards them, and countless laser bullets struck first, knocking down the orc boys at the forefront.
A giant orc shoved a way through the orc boy on top of the "Ancient Giant Chicken" and jumped into the city wall.
It merely glanced at the battle between the orc warriors and the Oglins before leaving.
As a large orc, it wouldn't take this kind of battle seriously; it would seek out a more powerful enemy, such as Astartes.
The orc's massive size naturally attracted a lot of firepower. Countless lasers were shot at it, but they all hit the thick steel plate and did not cause it any damage.
A Space Marine approached from a distance, and the Cadian warriors made way for him.
Several reckless orc lads roared and charged at the Space Marines.
The Space Marine spewed a burst of blue flame from his jump pack and charged forward at such speed that he left only a silver afterimage.
With a loud "bang," several orc boys were knocked down and sent flying.
The Space Marines went straight for the big Orc.
The orc roared and swung his warhammer down at the charging Space Marine.
Its speed was far too slow for a Space Marine.
The warhammer slammed heavily onto the ground, and the Space Marine's chainsword slashed at the orc's thigh. A metallic tearing sound pierced the air as the chainsword ripped a hole in the thick plate armor, splattering blood everywhere.
The orc roared in pain and immediately turned around to throw a punch at the Space Marine.
The fist, as fierce as a vinegar jar, aimed straight at the Space Marine's chest. The Space Marine dodged the punch with a slight movement, and slashed at the Orc's other thigh with his chainsaw sword, leaving another wound on the Orc's leg.
This was the first time the giant orc had fought a Space Marine, and it had no idea that the Space Marine would be so fast that it couldn't keep up with him at all.
This reminded it of what the war boss had said: those canned shrimp couldn't be used with heavy weapons. This time, it truly understood the meaning of those words.
The orc giant immediately abandoned his heavy warhammer and began fighting the Space Marine with both hands.
Without their cumbersome weapons, the orc giants became much faster.
The Space Marine charged at it again, attempting the same tactic, but the Orc giant quickly retreated, swinging his fists at the Space Marine as he went. Although the rain of punches couldn't hit the Space Marine, they did prevent him from getting close.
The Space Marine charged forward several times but was forced back by the Orc's big fists, but he wasn't in a hurry.
The massive orc kept retreating, its eyes fixed on the Space Marine in front of it, leaving it no time to look behind it. Inadvertently, it stepped on an orc's corpse, and its huge body fell uncontrollably to the ground.
The Space Marines, of course, wouldn't let this opportunity pass by, and pounced forward, slashing their chainsaws at the orc's head.
The burly orc quickly raised his left arm to block, but the armor on his arm could not stop the chainsaw sword from tearing at him, and his entire arm was almost severed.
The enraged orc giant swung his right fist and slammed it into the Space Marine's chest.
The Space Marine was focused on pressing down on his chainsaw sword and paid no attention to the Orc's heavy punch.
The enormous fist slammed into the terracotta armor with a loud thud, and the Space Marine was knocked over.
The giant orc leaped up and raised his massive foot to stomp on the Space Marine on the ground. The Space Marine was slow to stand up because he was waiting for the giant orc to stand up and stomp on him. Sure enough, the giant orc did just that.
The Space Marine dodged the Orc's giant foot, grabbing its lower leg with both hands. A burst of blue flames flashed from its power pack, and the Space Marine stood up, knocking the Orc to the ground. Then, it stomped on the Orc's head.
All of this happened almost in an instant. The big orc had no time to react and was kicked hard on the head.
The Space Marine's stomp was no joke; it smashed the orc's head open.
And that's how the big orc was killed by the Space Marines.
After taking down the big orc, the Space Marine picked up its giant hammer and swung it at the orc lads who were charging at him.
This shows that the Space Marines are no less powerful than the Orc giants who are nearly six meters tall.
The massive warhammer was wielded with tremendous force by the Space Marines, each strike capable of taking the lives of a dozen orc lads.
At this moment, the heavily armored Oglin also smashed the orc warrior's head with a single blow; in the end, Oglin's strength was indeed greater.
Just as the battle on the ground was raging, a huge junk ship appeared in the sky.
"Anti-aircraft guns, prepare!" Borg commanded.
Soon, orc drop pods were rained down.
"Fire!" Borg commanded.
Dozens of anti-aircraft guns suddenly opened fire on the sky, and beams of light enveloped the sky. The orcs' spacecraft could not break through the fire blockade in a short time and could only leave behind a series of brilliant fireworks in the sky.
The orcs charged recklessly into the area with their own objective: to destroy the shrimp's anti-aircraft guns so that the orc warriors on the ships could fire down and directly enter the armored outpost. Unfortunately, the shrimp's resistance was unprecedentedly strong, and they were unable to reach the anti-aircraft guns or destroy them.
Fierce battles raged everywhere, with orcs and humans locked in combat. On the orc side were warriors and hulking orcs, while on the human side were Orgrim and Space Marines.
"Captain, look, a bunch of orc lads are charging this way."
"Fire!" Russell roared, and the Fire Qilin continuously spewed out deadly lasers.
Two hundred Kadian warriors opened fire simultaneously, and the charging orc lads were quickly wiped out.
