Chapter 32 The Orc Invasion (3)
The orcs' attack began quickly.
Countless shells flew toward the outpost, explosions rang out incessantly, and thick smoke billowed from the outpost in an instant.
The shells they fired were low-end smoke grenades, intended to block the vision of the soldiers in the outpost before launching their next attack, launching "Special Forces Kids" into the outpost.
This is a contraption invented by orc technicians, which the orcs call a "catapult." To put it simply, it's a catapult. A special forces soldier sits on it and is launched into the air by the catapult. Then, the soldier opens his own parachute in mid-air and glides into the outpost.
Orcs are always so strange; they dare to do the most absurd things.
Thousands upon thousands of catapults were launched simultaneously, sending countless orc boys soaring into the air. The scene was truly spectacular, with the sky filled with lush green special forces boys.
However, these carefree orc technicians clearly didn't treat the special forces soldiers' lives as precious. The catapults they built were also quite unreliable, either lacking range or unable to adjust the angle properly. In short, the special forces soldiers flew around wildly after being launched into the air, some crashing into each other in the sky, while others bounced onto walls and became green paint on them.
A few were quite lucky enough to bounce high enough and open their paragliders to fly towards the outpost.
The Kadian warriors were already used to the orcs' strange behavior, and none of them found the special forces soldier's frequent suicides abnormal; on the contrary, they thought it was just the orcs' style.
"Attention everyone! Do not fire the anti-aircraft guns at any orcs that fly in!" Commander Borg was not going to waste anti-aircraft gun ammunition on a worthless orc brat.
Russell's new mission was to guard an anti-aircraft gun, and he led 200 Cadian warriors, two heavily armored Oglins, and a Silver Knight Space Marine.
"Understood, Commander."
After a gentle breeze, the orcs' smoke bombs dissipated, revealing the special forces boys still flying in the sky.
Russell, of course, didn't hold back. He raised the Fire Kirin in his hand, aimed it briefly, and a laser beam shot out, piercing through an orc special forces soldier.
Commander Borg only said not to use anti-aircraft guns, not laser guns. Countless lasers shot into the sky, and the Cadian warriors were all sharpshooters, hitting their targets every time.
Countless orc special forces soldiers plummeted downwards like kites with broken strings.
Accompanied by tremendous noise and dust, dozens of screeching fighter jets roared in.
"All anti-aircraft guns, prepare, aim at the orc fighters, fire!"
Before the orc fighter jets could even approach the outpost with their screeching engines, the anti-aircraft guns turned and began firing at the orc warriors.
Four of Cadian's Thunder fighters were also activated.
The air battle has begun.
Amidst the intense barrage of anti-aircraft fire, orc warplanes were frequently hit and crashed.
Some were hit in the wing and began to glide erratically, accidentally running over and killing the special forces orc boy.
Despite suffering heavy losses, the orc fighters showed no sign of retreating, revving their engines in an attempt to break through the anti-aircraft gun blockade.
After sacrificing more than a dozen fighter jets, they did manage to break through and began throwing grenades and bombs at the outpost. Unfortunately, the Kadian soldiers were all hiding in bunkers, and their bombs could not cause any casualties to the soldiers.
The Thunder Eagle fighter jet hurtled towards them at high speed, accompanied by a barrage of bullets.
The orc fighters could only drop bombs while dodging the Thunderhawk fighters' fire, while some orc fighters stopped dropping bombs and began to engage the Thunderhawks in aerial combat.
Finally, a few particularly lucky special forces orc boys landed on the ground, but before they could even get their footing, a volley of lasers was fired at them.
The foolish orcs continued this projectile for hours, losing tens of thousands of orc lads before realizing it was utterly ineffective, and then they stopped this pointless projectile.
The screeching fighter jets in the sky had been mostly shot down, and the few remaining ones had to hastily retreat.
The orcs' first wave of attack ended so hastily.
The orc technicians began preparing equipment for the second wave of the attack.
They suggested to the orc war leader that since launching an attack from the air was impractical, they should try to blow up the city walls. Once they could breach the walls, the orc lads could rush in and wreak havoc, wiping out the shrimp.
The warlords readily accepted their advice, which seemed quite reasonable from any perspective.
The bombardment of the city walls began at the crack of dawn. The orcs launched all sorts of strange cannonballs at the walls, bombarding them indiscriminately. After a busy day, the walls remained intact by nightfall, which greatly angered the warlord. He decided to kill a few orc engineers to vent his anger.
The orc engineers quickly devised a plan. They reassured the warlord while telling him that they needed more powerful cannons to breach the walls.
The warlords heeded their advice and ordered the orc engineers to create even more powerful weapons.
A few days later, three huge cannons were pushed out.
When the three giant cannons were pushed out, the orcs roared loudly, dancing with excitement as if victory was within their grasp.
"Captain, what's making the orcs so happy?" a Kadian warrior asked Russell curiously.
Russell picked up his binoculars and glanced at the scene, saying, "It seems the orcs have brought out three strangely shaped cannons."
"cannon!"
After a loud "boom", a giant cannonball was seen flying towards the city wall.
The massive explosion shook the city walls.
The orcs became even more excited and roared incessantly.
Russell frowned. The orcs' cannons were actually quite useful. If they fired two more shots, the city walls might really collapse.
Just as Russell was getting nervous, the second cannonball came. The huge shell hit the wall and exploded violently, creating a huge gap in the city wall.
The collapse of the city wall put everyone on edge.
"Captain Russell, what's going on up ahead?" Commander Borg asked Russell in a serious tone.
"Commander, the orcs have built a huge cannon. It's very powerful and has already fired two shots, blowing a hole in our city wall."
Is there any way to blow up the cannon?
"It's too far, Commander!"
A breach was blasted in the city wall, and all the orcs erupted in the loudest cheers, shaking their heads excitedly, some even unconsciously dancing an extremely ugly war dance.
"Boom, rumble..." Just as the orcs were incredibly excited, the third shot was fired.
A loud bang, followed by a burst of fire, sent the orc technicians surrounding the cannon flying in all directions.
