The strongest astral army in Warhammer 40K

Chapter 300 The Bird-Riding Warrior

The strange bird's golden psionic net gradually dissipated, its eyes flashing with an eerie light, but its body no longer struggled.

"Looks like you've finally given in," Russell said with a grin.

He flipped over and mounted the strange bird's back, feeling its muscles trembling.

“Don’t worry, I won’t make you too tired,” Russell reassured the strange bird.

The strange bird suddenly spread its wings and soared into the sky. Russell growled excitedly, "Fly! Let's find the contaminated points in the poisonous fog!"

The strange bird gradually increased its speed, and Russell's body swayed in the wind. He couldn't help but joke to himself, "Looks like I need to lose weight."

Riding on the bird's back, Russell didn't stop; the fire unicorn's gun was aimed at the rotting corpses and monsters on the ground. A scorching beam pierced through the corpse's skull, and putrid blood splattered into the green pool of water, making a sizzling sound.

"For the Emperor!" Russell's voice was like thunder, and the roar of the Fire Kirin laser gun echoed in the poisonous fog.

The strange bird was getting faster and faster, and Russell shouted, "Keep flying!"

The commander of the Death Guard obviously did not expect there to be such a freak as Russell, who was not afraid of the poisonous fog and could even see through it.

"What is that?" A Death Guard looked up at the sky, his voice tinged with fear.

Another Death Guard squinted, trying to make out the giant bird in the sky through the thick green poisonous fog: "I don't know, but it doesn't look like one of our allies."

Just as they were wondering what was happening, several blazing laser beams shot down from the sky, striking the ground beneath their feet. The green puddles evaporated, emitting a hissing sound.

"Enemy attack!" Death Guard quickly raised his explosive gun and fired wildly at the giant bird in the sky.

Russell yelled: "Dude, get out of the way!"

Under his command, the strange bird dodged the Death Guard's shots.

While dodging, Russell suddenly had an idea: he could grab a Death Guard and force him to reveal the location of the contaminated point.

Without hesitation, Russell leaped from the back of the strange bird, golden arcs of electricity exploding around him like a falling meteor. His Bloodthirsty entrenching tool spun in his hand, its serrated blade gleaming coldly through the poisonous mist. Two Death Guard soldiers reacted swiftly, their slug guns aimed at the rapidly descending figure.

"For Nurgle!" a Death Guard roared as he pulled the trigger, the explosive round tracing a fiery arc through the air.

Russell's body twisted abruptly in mid-air, the explosive grenade grazing his shoulder armor and striking the rotting tree trunk behind him, sending splinters flying. His feet landed heavily, creating a shallow crater in the ground, from which green liquid sizzled and corroded.

"Mortal, you're asking for death!" Another Death Guardian swung his power claw down suddenly, corrosive pus dripping from the claw blade.

Russell shifted to the side with lightning speed, avoiding the fatal blow. His Bloodthirster entrenching tool slashed towards the Death Guard's knee, the serrated edge cutting through the decaying armor, and green pus gushed out.

"Ah—!" Death Guard let out a painful roar, staggering backward.

Another Death Guardian's bomb gun roared again, bullets flying toward Russell's back.

Russell swiftly used his psionic powers to create a shield behind him. The bullets struck the shield and bounced off, sending sparks flying.

"Your attack... is too slow." Russell's voice carried a hint of sarcasm.

His body lunged forward, the entrenching tool cleaving through the Death Guard's power claws, the serrated edge embedding deeply into the guard's shoulder armor. The Death Guard let out a scream, attempting to retaliate with the explosive pistol in his other hand, but Russell's golden arc of electricity had already erupted, blasting his weapon away.

"Now, tell me the location of the contamination point," Russell roared, golden arcs of electricity weaving into a massive net that trapped a Death Guardian.

Another Death Guard struggled to his feet, his slug gun pointed at Russell's back. However, Russell swiftly turned, and the Unbreakable Blood Drinker cleaved the Death Guard's head in two.

“Your companion is dead,” Russell’s voice was icy. “You’d better cooperate.”

The trapped Death Guard let out a low growl, but the golden psionic net gradually tightened, and corrosive pus seeped from the gaps in its armor, yet it could not break free of its restraints.

Theoretically, the resilient Death Guardian should not feel pain, but this time he was facing golden psionic power, which could directly burn his soul, causing him unbearable pain and making him scream incessantly.

Russell's gaze locked onto the trapped Death Guard, and he said coldly, "Tell me, where is the contamination point?"

Corrosive pus seeped from the gaps in the Death Guard's armor, and the golden psionic net gradually tightened.

He said painfully, "At...at coordinates X-47, Y-92."

"How many guards are there?" Russell continued to press.

The Death Guardian scoffed, "Over a hundred Death Terminators... you'd just be throwing your life away."

Russell sneered: "Whether I go to my death or not is my business."

As he spoke, he brandished the Blood Drinker and severed the head of the Death Guard, the putrid blood splattering into the green pool of water with a sizzling sound.

Russell flipped himself onto the back of the strange bird and said happily, "Fly, let's go to coordinates X-47, Y-92."

The strange bird suddenly spread its wings and flew into the sky. Russell chuckled and said, "I hope you can fly faster than the Terminator's bullet."

He rode the strange bird through the poisonous fog, quickly approaching coordinates X-47, Y-92.

“That’s it,” Russell whispered.

His gaze locked onto a massive black building in the distance, its exterior riddled with fortifications. Countless death guards and Nurgle demons patrolled the area, and the air reeked of decay.

Suddenly, a barrage of intense fire shot down from the ground, bombarding the strange bird. Russell was alarmed and quickly directed the bird to dodge.

"Retreat quickly!" Russell's voice was urgent, and the strange bird suddenly spread its wings and flew into the sky.

The artillery fire exploded behind the strange bird, and scorching flames spread through the poisonous fog. Russell, still shaken, joked, "These guys' artillery fire was pretty accurate."

He quickly found a safe place and contacted Astlan. Astlan's image appeared in the holographic projection.

"Asteran, I've located the contaminated site, coordinates X-47, Y-92. There's a massive black building surrounded by fortifications. Countless Death Guards and Nurgle demons patrol the area."

Astland exclaimed with delight, "That's wonderful! We'll immediately devise a plan to destroy the contaminated site!"

Russell smiled wryly and said, "Are you even listening to me? There are countless Death Guards and Nurgle demons there?"

Astlan paused for a moment and then asked: What do you mean?

"More than a hundred Death Guard Terminators, do you think your dozen or so Grey Knights are a match for them?"
