Chapter 110 "The Blessing of the Blood God"
At this moment, Russell transformed into a fierce tiger, and these orc boys were no match for him. In just a few moments, they were all killed.
The orc camp was also completely destroyed.
Russell hesitated as he looked at the corpses of orc boys scattered all over the ground. He now had two important things to do: one was to return to the secret base to find the communicator and call for help, and the other was to search along the cliff to see if there were any other small orc squads to eliminate.
After pondering for a long time, Russell decided to seek help.
The road back was not easy, and in order to reach his destination as quickly as possible, he kept his head down and hurried along the way.
After more than ten days of rushing, we finally returned to the secret base.
When Russell held the communicator in his hand, he hesitated again. He was really afraid that Sigismund would blame him for this.
Russell's hesitation didn't last long. When he thought of Xiaotang, he made up his mind to save them.
"Lord Sigismund!"
"Lord Sigismund!"
………………
Russell called out several times before Sigismund's voice came through the intercom.
"Is this Russell? How is your trial going?"
"Well, sir, there's something I'd like to discuss with you?"
"If you need help, just let me know!"
"Lord Sigismund, I have discovered a human settlement at the foot of a cliff, and I want to save them!"
After a while, Sigismund finally spoke: Do you think we should save them?
"They saved me. I fell off a cliff and my life was in danger. They saved me. I think they deserved to save me!" Russell said firmly.
“Since you think we should save them, I’ll arrange for one of the Valkyries to go down.”
"Thank you, sir!" Russell said, almost choking back tears.
“One day you will become indifferent and no longer be swayed by emotions,” Sigismund said calmly.
Although Russell didn't understand why Sigismund would say that, he felt that saving those people was the right choice.
Having received Sigismund's approval, Russell immediately rushed out of the secret base with a communicator and a locator.
In the dead of night, a figure ran wildly through the woods, not daring to stop for a moment. Unbeknownst to him, the bushes had already torn his clothes to shreds, and his legs and body were covered in blood.
At that moment, Russell had only one goal in mind: to rescue those people as quickly as possible.
Upon reaching the cliff, Russell did not hesitate. He took out two weapons and began to climb down. Climbing down was not an easy task. Several times Russell almost lost his grip and fell, but he persevered.
Russell started running towards the villages and towns as soon as he touched down the ground.
As Russell was speeding along, he suddenly noticed a bad omen: a bright red expanse appeared in the distance.
His heart skipped a beat, and he whispered, "No!"
Sure enough, flames shot into the sky before him, engulfing the entire town. Two Black Templars stood before the flames, their eyes fixed on Russell as he charged toward them.
The situation was obvious: the townspeople had not died at the hands of the orcs, but at the hands of the Black Templars, who were the Sigismund Guard. It was no question who had given them the orders.
"Why?" Russell roared angrily at the Black Templar.
The Black Templar remained as silent as iron and would not answer Russell at all.
As if all his strength had been drained, Russell collapsed to the ground and burst into loud sobs, crying, "They were all my benefactors! We could have chosen not to save them, why did you kill them? Why? Why burn them? Are you really the guardians of humanity? How can you be more brutal than orcs?"
At that moment, a deep voice spoke in his mind: "Was all of this orchestrated by the False Emperor? The False Emperor has never loved humanity? His angels, of course, love humanity? ... "Kill them, avenge your benefactor!"
The whispers of the warp kept echoing in Russell's mind, gradually influencing his mentality. Slowly, Russell changed; he stopped crying and became resolute, his eyes growing increasingly bloodshot.
"I will kill you all to avenge them!" Russell roared at the Black Templars, gripping the Blood Drinker tightly.
The Black Templar remained silent despite Russell's change in demeanor.
"Ah!" Russell roared and charged at a Black Templar, his speed so fast that even the Black Templar was secretly surprised.
However, Russell's current strength is far inferior to that of the Black Templars.
Sigismund had told the two Black Templars to kill and burn the place to the ground before he arrived, but he did not expect Russell to arrive so quickly and witness this scene.
But it's too late to say anything now. All the Black Templars can do is block Russell and forcibly take him back.
Russell quickly reached the Black Templar and leaped into the air, the Blood Drinker slashing directly at the Black Templar's helmet.
The Black Templar Knight quickly brandished his greatsword to meet the attack.
With a clang, sparks flew, and Russell was thrown to the ground by the immense force of the greatsword, his right hand's tiger's mouth split open and blood flowed freely.
A bizarre scene unfolded: Russell's blood rapidly disappeared and flowed into the Blood Drinker. His blood flowed faster and faster, and more and more, until the entire Blood Drinker turned a strange crimson red.
Soon, Russell's entire body turned bright red, and his expression gradually became distorted.
"The blessing of the Blood God!" a Black Templar exclaimed.
"Knock him out quickly!" another Black Templar warrior urged.
Two Black Templars attacked Russell. He couldn't even defeat one Black Templar, let alone two. They didn't give Russell a chance to react. One of the Black Templars struck Russell on the neck with a palm strike, knocking him unconscious.
After Russell fainted, everything returned to normal, as if the mutated weapon and body had never happened.
"Kid, you're getting better and better!" a Black Templar praised, looking at Russell on the ground.
“The forces of the warp have their eyes on him. What should we do?” the Black Templar asked his companion.
"Leave it to the adults; they will surely have a solution."
…………
The Black Templar told Sigismund everything that had happened.
Sigismund said with a complicated expression: "Since things have come to this, what can I say? All of this must be the Emperor's will."
"In his extreme anger, it seemed as if a mutation occurred, producing the blessing effect of the Blood God."
Sigismund did not answer the Black Templar's question directly, but thought to himself: Father, what should I do?
