The Reborn Princess Has Turned Evil
Chapter 15 Substituting Plum for Peach
Abi was jostled around so much that she struggled to open her eyes and realized she was in a carriage.
She immediately sensed something was wrong. Just as she was about to open the small window to ask, she raised her hand and noticed an extra bracelet, and the sleeves were very long. She steadied herself. "Isn't this the princess's clothes and jewelry?" Abi exclaimed. She looked out the small window, but all she saw was a forest in the countryside.
She quickly shouted, "Stop the car! Stop the car!" But the people outside seemed not to hear her and continued to drive, so fast that she could barely sit still and was swaying back and forth in the car.
What frightened Abi even more was that she suddenly felt hot all over and unbearably itchy. She suddenly remembered the bowl of eight-treasure porridge that Jing Anle had given her that morning. Could it have been a love potion?
Abi sensed something was wrong and began pounding on the carriage while shouting, "Stop! Stop!"
It's unclear how long Abi shouted, but her voice became hoarse, and her body grew weaker and weaker until the carriage door was finally opened from the outside.
"Hehehehe~ Little beauty!" Two short and ugly men climbed onto the carriage, bastard at Abi, and pounced on her.
Abi had never seen anything like this before, and her legs went weak with fear. She felt disgusted just looking at the two men, with their unwashed teeth and dark skin. She struggled desperately, but she had no strength left in her body.
So she mustered her courage and said, "How dare you! I am Princess Anle of the palace!" Abi's voice was soft and weak due to the effects of the drugs.
"Hahaha, if you are a princess, then I am the emperor!" one of them laughed loudly, and then began to carry out his duties.
The two men in the carriage showed no mercy. They ripped off Abi's clothes, grabbed her, and kissed her wildly. Soon, heavy breathing could be heard from inside the carriage.
They had taken on a job: simply meet a carriage at the rest stop, bring it here, and then ruin the reputation of the person inside.
"You two hurry up! If I hadn't lost the rock-paper-scissors game, would you have gotten to have this good thing first?" Abi heard the voice outside and realized there were still people under the car. Her heart sank completely.
Abi wanted to bite her tongue and commit suicide, but the drugs made her unable to resist and she even started panting involuntarily!
"Wow, this young lady sounds so alluring!" one of the men outside the carriage said.
Another man replied, "You can't believe there's such a good thing in the world. They give us money and then let us ruin a young virgin."
"Sigh! You take someone's money and do their dirty work!"
As they were talking, two men got out of the car, looking smug. "They're a bit green, but they've got guts!"
The two men below couldn't wait any longer and rushed up. They saw Abi lying there, her clothes disheveled. When Abi saw two more men coming up, she begged, "Please, let me go."
They didn't care about anything else, ignored Abi, and started doing their thing. As always, the car started shaking again.
Just as the people below were laughing, a voice shouted, "In broad daylight, they dare to forcibly abduct a woman!" came from the sky.
The newcomers were none other than Murong Peifeng and his group of experts. In no time, the people under the carriage had their throats slit.
The two people in the carriage were puzzled. One of them had just gotten out of the carriage and hadn't even had a chance to speak when a sharp sword pierced his chest. The other person in the carriage was muttering, "What's going on?" As he stepped out, he saw a handsome man pointing a sword at him. He trembled with fear and was about to beg for mercy when he was killed.
Murong Peifeng stared at the woman slumped inside the carriage, seemingly unconscious. She was dressed in princess attire, her clothes torn to shreds. He mistook her for Jing Anle. He pretended not to know and called out, "Miss, Miss?"
Abi didn't respond to him. Murong Peifeng went to check on her. After all, he had only bribed these people to abuse Jing Anle, not to kill her. He would then rescue Jing Anle. The woman had lost what was most important to her, and she would definitely be distraught. In the end, he would show her care and concern, and Jing Anle would surely obey him and repay him with her body. The city map would then be his for the taking.
But when Murong Peifeng turned the person over, he found that it was not Jing Anle, but a palace maid that Jing Rou had sent to Jing Anle's side. He was furious and threw the person heavily to the ground, and said angrily, "What exactly is going on?"
Just then, Abi vaguely woke up and, seeing that the person in front of her was Murong Peifeng, quickly cried out, "Young Master, save me! Young Master!"
Murong Peifeng's face had darkened with anger. He asked in a deep voice, "What are you doing here? Shouldn't the princess be in the carriage?"
Abi barely managed to cover herself with the remaining cloth, stammering, "This servant...this servant didn't know anything either." Looking up and meeting Murong Peifeng's angry gaze, she quickly said, "This morning, the princess discovered that I had drugged her, and then, then I was knocked unconscious, and when I woke up I was in the carriage."
"Please, Your Highness, let me go. I didn't say anything. I promise to stay far away." Abi said, kowtowing as she spoke. Who wouldn't want to live?
Murong Peifeng narrowed his eyes. "Are you sure you didn't say anything to the princess?"
"No, really no, the princess doesn't know who's behind me, I..." Before Abi could finish speaking, Murong Peifeng's sword had already pierced her body. Abi looked down and saw blood flowing from her body. Before she could finish speaking, she collapsed.
Murong Peifeng forcefully drew his sword and said, "I only believe the words of the dead." Then he jumped off the carriage and ordered his men, "Clean it up thoroughly."
His plan for today was perfect. Where did things go wrong? If it was Abi who leaked the information, she wouldn't be here. Could it be Jing Anle? The more he thought about it, the more he felt that things were not simple. This Jing Anle was definitely not the empty shell that Jing Rou described.
Murong Peifeng ordered his men to put the bodies together and burn them to ashes. Thick smoke rose slowly, and even though Mu Ping was far away, she knew that Murong Peifeng was destroying the evidence.
Mu Ping followed Abi's carriage until they reached the woods on the outskirts of the city. Hiding behind a large rock in the distance, she noticed that the group of men were about to bully Abi. As a woman, she felt a pang of sympathy, but she also noticed that a group of people were watching Abi's carriage not far away. She dared not make any rash moves.
Later, when Mu Ping saw Murong Peifeng leading his men to kill the people in the carriage, including Abi, she couldn't understand Murong Peifeng's purpose. If the person in the carriage was a princess, did Murong Peifeng want to save her or kill her?
She only came out after seeing Murong Peifeng leave, and hurried towards the General's Mansion, wanting to tell the princess everything she knew.
