Where does that wicked woman get her conscience?

Chapter 36 Crimson Fusion Makes Its Move

The giant python swept its long tail out, blocking Guan Xun's path. It opened its mouth and roared, and raging flames burst forth from its mouth, burning in front of its giant tail! Forming a fiery barrier, it blocked the spreading invisible shockwave!

The fiery barrier pierced the sky, its vibrant colors making the small courtyard appear as crimson as a lava cave.

"This is……"

Guan Xun was overjoyed; it really was Chi Rong! It had awakened!

The sudden turn of events also caused a hint of surprise to appear on the Imperial Tutor's face, clearly not expecting such trouble.

He slightly raised his eyelids, his icy blue eyes seemingly staring straight ahead, as if he could see through the barrier of flames to the scene hidden behind it.

The power of control released was not at full strength to begin with, and it was blocked by the raging fire barrier, preventing it from spreading further.

The giant python stretched its head forward with its head held high, its long whiskers hanging naturally on both sides of its head, and its dark red scales shimmering with silver light under the moonlight.

Its spine wings were raised high, and its amber crystal snake eyes were icy cold. Its pupils had already shrunk into sharp crystals, staring straight at the white-robed man below, looking ready to attack.

Once the invisible energy wave completely dissipated, Chi Rong swung his snake tail, which had been lying across Guan Xun's face, and coiled it around the tall artificial mountain beside him!

Under its terrifying pressure, the artificial hill, like a fragile block of snow, was instantly snapped in two! A crashing sound of shattered stones rang out as the small hilltop, caught in the snake's tail, was violently flung towards the Imperial Tutor!

With a whooshing sound, the Imperial Tutor raised his left hand and easily swept away the artificial rock. The rock flew down and smashed into small pieces on the ground in the distance.

A flash of anger crossed the Crimson Serpent's eyes. It roared sharply to the sky, and a massive burst of crimson flames shot out from its body, turning the entire barrier into a magma-like abyss!

The Imperial Tutor's white robes were stained red, and his full head of silver hair was no longer recognizable as its original color.

Sharp flame crystals, like razor-sharp blades, shot down from the sky like a rain of fire, clattering and cracking as they fell onto the bluestone walkway.

Such a dense array of fire crystals would be impossible for an ordinary person to withstand, yet they were specifically targeting the Imperial Tutor…

Just as they were about to approach the Imperial Tutor, they inexplicably and automatically dissipated in mid-air! They couldn't even get within half a foot of the space around him.

Guan Xun gasped in shock. This man was truly formidable! While suppressing her with his divine sense, he was still able to evade Chi Rong's attacks with such ease!

It's obvious to anyone with eyes that they can't possibly defeat each other even if they fight, and they can't keep dragging this out!

Guan Xun immediately raised his head and looked at Chi Rong, who was still growling in anger, and shouted in his heart!

"Chi Rong! We're no match for him yet. Don't waste time with him. Just figure out how to break the barrier!"

Chi Rong's amber-colored eyes swept downwards, meeting Shangguan Xun's gaze to indicate that he understood.

With a flick of its head, the fiery crystals that had been falling from the sky shattered in mid-air, breaking into countless tiny sparks.

Sparks drifted through the air, instantly blurring the surrounding vision.

The crimson body leaped upwards, flames burning fiercely on its huge serpent tail, and it lashed out at an extremely terrifying speed toward the invisible barrier around it!

This sweep instantly dyed the invisible barrier a crimson red, visible to the naked eye.

It roared again, and its originally dark red, flame-scorched body instantly dimmed. A white mist with a hint of blue emanated from its body, replacing the fiery red!

White mist swirled around it, and in the blink of an eye, it transformed into a giant python with a white body tinged with blue, completely opposite to its previous appearance!

Chi Rong charged toward the invisible barrier, its head slightly tilted, and the two sharp rhinoceros horns on its whiskers slammed into the barrier!

Deep white cracks instantly appeared in the space where the impact occurred, spreading outwards with a crackling sound. The next second, the entire barrier vanished into the air like a shattered glass ball!

Tiny sparks drifted through the air, carried by the gentle breeze, scattering across every corner of the courtyard and igniting all the flowers, plants, and trees.

"Chi Rong! Go back!"

Guan Xun shouted in his heart, and Chi Rong immediately turned around and transformed into a ball of white light, rushing into her body.

A gentle breeze stirred, sparks flew everywhere, illuminating every dark corner of the courtyard. Despite being the site of an incredibly fierce battle, the courtyard now possessed a romantic atmosphere.

As soon as Chi Rong disappeared, Guan Xun narrowed his eyes, a cold smile curling at the corner of his lips, and immediately shouted, "Fire! Come out and put out the fire!"

Imperial Tutor: ...

Since things have come to this, we cannot linger any longer.

The Imperial Tutor turned his face slightly, waved his sleeve, and finally withdrew the divine sense that had been released. In the blink of an eye, his figure disappeared from the spot.

He came without a trace and left without a trace. The only people in the courtyard were Guan Xun standing there and the burning flowers and plants. The Imperial Tutor... it was as if he had never been there at all.

As the intense pressure dissipated from her body, Guan Xun immediately felt a sense of relief. She gasped for breath, looking ahead at the empty space, her dark pupils reflecting only the flickering flames.

She gritted her teeth, not caring about the reason, she was going to remember this debt!

The door creaked open suddenly, and several people rushed out of the room and into the courtyard. They were shocked to see the raging flames.

"What's going on?!" Ye Fengjing exclaimed in astonishment.

"I don't know. I saw the fire as soon as I entered the courtyard." Guan Xun shook his head innocently, his gaze sweeping over the group with a look of confusion. "You didn't even notice? Looks like you were all sleeping soundly."

Ye Fengjing looked embarrassed. He really hadn't noticed anything and only woke up from his dream after hearing the shout.

When did his alertness become so poor?

"How could it suddenly catch fire...?" he murmured in confusion.

Guan Xun lowered his eyes slightly, feeling a bit dizzy. He wondered if it was because he had consumed too much spiritual energy. His heels wobbled slightly, and he lost his balance, taking a half-step back.

Just then, a figure suddenly appeared beside her and reached out to support her.

"Are you alright?" A clear female voice rang in his ear, and Guan Xun turned his head slightly to see a slightly heroic face.

It's Lin Miao.

"It's okay." She shook her head and looked at Ye Fengjing. "You guys should hurry up and send someone to put out the fire, or the dormitory will be burned down."

As soon as she finished speaking, Li Zhou, who was standing at the back, shouted in a rough voice, "No need, no need, I can handle this little flame!"

"You want to?" Ye Fengjing frowned, looking at him strangely. This rough man, did he really think he could extinguish it with his clothes?

Li Zhou chuckled twice, then stepped forward and squeezed in front of Ye Fengjing, making a strange hand gesture in front of his chest.

Amidst the bewildered gazes of the crowd, a deep blue spiritual energy slowly surged from the spot where his hands were forming a hand seal, swirling around his palms.

Eh?

So it's a water element, no wonder it's so confident.

"I see." Ye Fengjing's puzzled expression faded, and he nodded to himself, "Then I'll trouble you."

"It's nothing, it's nothing," Li Zhoubian said, already starting to put out the fire.

Seeing this, Lin Miao's doubts disappeared: "Since you don't need to worry, let me help you inside first."

"Thank you then." Guan Xun did not refuse and followed her into the dormitory.
