Jun Luochuan, Su Yao, Ye Ying, and Ling Shuang approached the glowing stone platform in the center of the room with a mixture of anticipation and caution. The four searched the room cautiously, leaving no corner unchecked. Suddenly, Su Yao accidentally stepped on a loose floor tile. Instantly, the tile sank, and a huge black vortex appeared beneath her feet, its powerful suction pulling her body downwards rapidly.

"Su Yao!" Jun Luochuan shouted, grabbing Su Yao's arm without hesitation and channeling his spiritual power to try and resist the vortex's suction. Ye Ying and Ling Shuang also rushed over. Ye Ying planted his longsword in the ground to stabilize himself while pulling Jun Luochuan back; Ling Shuang used her illusionary magic to try and disrupt the vortex's power.

However, the suction force of the vortex was beyond imagination, and the four people's bodies began to slide uncontrollably towards the vortex.

"This can't go on, we have to find a way to break this vortex!" Jun Luochuan shouted, veins bulging on his forehead, showing the immense pressure he was under.

In her panic, Su Yao suddenly remembered the method they had used to deal with the spiritual energy vortex in the maze. "Jun Luochuan, try using the method we used to break the spiritual energy vortex before, by adjusting the output of spiritual energy to disrupt its operation!"

Upon hearing this, Jun Luochuan quickly calmed down, recalling his previous experience. While holding Su Yao tightly, he directed the others: "Ye Ying, Ling Shuang, let's adjust our spiritual energy output using the same method as before. I'll guide you first, and you can follow the rhythm!"

The three concentrated their minds and circulated their spiritual energy in a specific rhythm and manner, injecting it into the vortex. With their efforts, the vortex's suction gradually weakened and eventually disappeared, and Su Yao was successfully pulled up.

These phantoms presented various alluring images: some were mountains of magical cultivation treasures, some were divine pills that could enhance cultivation, and others were scrolls that unlocked all the secrets of the mysterious land.

"Don't be fooled by the illusions, they're all fake!" Jun Luochuan shouted, while simultaneously circulating his spiritual power to form a spiritual shield around everyone, resisting the mental impact brought by the illusions.

Su Yao took a deep breath, trying to calm herself down. "Yes, we can't be tempted by these illusions." She used her spiritual power of light, and a soft light emanated from her palm, illuminating the surrounding darkness. The phantoms became somewhat blurry under the light.

Night Shadow and Ling Shuang also channeled their spiritual energy to strengthen their mental defenses. Night Shadow unleashed the Starry Sky-Splitting Sword Technique, its sword light blazing brightly, attempting to dispel the illusions. Ling Shuang, on the other hand, used her spiritual illusion technique to create a phantom barrier around them, interfering with the illusions' attacks.

However, the phantoms seemed to sense their resistance and became even more realistic and powerful. Some phantoms even broke through their defenses, attempting to lure them into a trap.

"These phantoms are too cunning; we must find a way to break them as soon as possible," Su Yao said anxiously, sweat dripping from her forehead.

While fending off the phantoms' attacks, Jun Luochuan quickly devised a countermeasure. He discovered that the phantoms' power seemed to be related to their inner desires; the more they longed to see something appear, the stronger the phantoms became.

The four of them struggled to control their emotions and shift their attention away from the illusion. They closed their eyes, focused their minds on circulating their spiritual energy, and strengthened their defenses.

With their persistence, the phantom's power gradually weakened and eventually disappeared.

"Phew, finally rid of those illusions," Nightshade said with a sigh of relief.

“But we can’t let our guard down. There are definitely other traps and misleading clues in this room,” Jun Luochuan said, looking around with a determined gaze.

The four continued searching the room, this time more cautious and less likely to trust anything they saw. Suddenly, Ling Shuang discovered a hidden compartment in the wall. The compartment was surrounded by runes, unlike any they had seen before.

“Look, this hidden compartment is strange. These runes seem to be protecting something,” Ling Shuang said.

Jun Luochuan stepped forward and carefully examined the runes on the hidden compartment. He discovered that although the runes were complex, they possessed a unique rhythm. After some thought, he tried touching the runes in a specific order.

As he touched the last rune, the hidden compartment slowly opened, revealing a crystal ball emitting a faint light.

“This crystal ball looks very mysterious; it might hold the key to unlocking the secrets of this place,” Su Yao said.

However, just as Jun Luochuan was about to pick up the crystal ball, the floor of the room suddenly began to shake violently. Cracks spread from the floor, and stones began to fall from the ceiling.

"Oh no, this is another trap!" Jun Luochuan shouted.

The four of them ran quickly toward the door, trying to escape the dangerous place. However, a sturdy stone door suddenly appeared, trapping them inside the room.

"What do we do? We're trapped!" Su Yao said anxiously.

Jun Luochuan quickly surveyed his surroundings, trying to find a way out of his predicament. He noticed some new runes appearing on the walls of the room, flashing with an eerie light, seemingly controlling the vibrations of the stone door and the room.

"Don't panic, everyone. These runes might be the key to unlocking the stone door. Let's study them together and see if we can find a way to break through," Jun Luochuan said.

The four of them gathered around the wall, carefully studying the runes. After some effort, they discovered that the arrangement of the runes was similar to a rune combination they had encountered in the maze before.

“Perhaps we can use the same method we used to decipher the maze runes to unlock these runes,” Nightshade said.

Following their previous experience, the four adjusted their spiritual energy output and infused it into the runes. The runes flashed, and the stone door began to slowly open.

Just as they were about to leave the room, a group of dark figures suddenly appeared inside. These figures moved swiftly, wielding weapons that emitted a ghostly glow, and pounced on them.

"It's the Shadow Assassin! It seems someone doesn't want us to leave here." Jun Luochuan shouted, quickly drawing his sword and engaging the shadowy figure in battle.

Night Shadow, Su Yao, and Ling Shuang quickly joined the battle. Night Shadow unleashed the Starry Sky-Splitting Sword Technique, its sword light blazing, countless sword energies crisscrossing and shooting towards the Shadow Assassin. Su Yao used a spell that fused light spiritual power with fire element, creating clusters of flames imbued with purifying power, which she then fired at the Shadow Assassin. Ling Shuang, on the other hand, used illusion magic to create numerous phantoms, disrupting the Shadow Assassin's movements.

The shadow assassins were agile and their attacks were fierce, but they gradually became overwhelmed by the close coordination of the four. However, just as they were about to eliminate all the shadow assassins, a huge shadow assassin leader emerged from the shadows.

The leader of the shadow assassins wielded a massive black scythe, emanating a powerful aura of darkness. It let out a low roar, brandishing its scythe and slashing towards Jun Luochuan.

Jun Luochuan swiftly swung his sword to parry the Shadow Assassin Leader's attack. However, the Shadow Assassin Leader's strength was too great, and Jun Luochuan was forced back several steps.

"Everyone be careful! This Shadow Assassin leader is very strong. Let's attack together!" Jun Luochuan shouted.

Ye Ying, Su Yao, and Ling Shuang quickly surrounded Jun Luochuan, facing the Shadow Assassin Leader together. Ye Ying unleashed her strongest sword technique, a sword aura imbued with the power of stars shooting towards the Shadow Assassin Leader. Su Yao fused her light spiritual power with lightning element, a thick bolt of lightning shooting from her hand, striking the Shadow Assassin Leader. Ling Shuang, meanwhile, used illusion magic to try and confuse the Shadow Assassin Leader's movements.

Under the combined attack of the four, the leader of the Shadow Assassins finally succumbed, letting out a shrill scream before dissipating into a cloud of black smoke.

"Phew, finally solved." Jun Luochuan breathed a sigh of relief and said.

The four seized the opportunity to escape the room and arrived at a long corridor. On the walls on both sides of the corridor hung portraits, the figures in the portraits had different expressions, but all of them revealed a mysterious atmosphere.

“These portraits look strange; they might be hiding some clues,” Su Yao said.

Jun Luochuan stepped forward and carefully examined one of the portraits. The portrait depicted a mysterious figure dressed in black robes standing before a dark castle, holding a glowing object in his hand, surrounded by a group of cultivators kneeling and begging for mercy.

"Who is this mysterious person? Could the object in his hand be the treasure we are looking for?" Jun Luochuan asked.

Just then, the mysterious figure in the portrait suddenly moved. His eyes flashed red, and he stretched out a hand from the portrait, reaching out to grab Jun Luochuan.

"Watch out!" Su Yao shouted, casting a spell that fused light spiritual power with water element, sending a stream of water imbued with purifying power towards the mysterious man's hand.

The mysterious figure's hand was struck by the water, hissing as it withdrew. However, the other figures in the portraits also sprang into action, rushing towards them.

"It seems these portraits are also a trap, let's go!" Jun Luochuan shouted.

The four ran wildly down the corridor, pursued closely by the portrait figures behind them. Suddenly, a fork in the road appeared ahead, both passages exuding a mysterious aura, making it difficult to choose.

"Which way to go?" Nightshade asked.

Jun Luochuan quickly observed the spiritual energy fluctuations of the two passages, trying to find the differences. However, the spiritual energy fluctuations of the two passages were almost identical, making it difficult to determine which path was safe.

“Just pick one, we don’t have time to hesitate!” Jun Luochuan said, then led everyone into the left passage.

However, once they entered the passage, they discovered it was a dead end. At the end of the passage was a solid stone wall, and the portrait figure behind them was about to catch up.

"Oh no, we chose the wrong one!" Su Yao said anxiously.

Jun Luochuan quickly considered a solution. He noticed some tiny runes on the stone wall, which seemed to be activated by specific spiritual energy input.

"Don't panic, everyone. Maybe these runes can help us open the stone wall," Jun Luochuan said.

The four focused their minds and, following the instructions of the runes, channeled their spiritual energy into the stone wall. The runes flashed, and the stone wall slowly opened, revealing another passage.

Without a second thought, they rushed into the passage. A thin layer of mist filled the passage, and a low, guttural roar could be faintly heard.

“That sound like some powerful creature is nearby,” Nightshade said.

Jun Luochuan nodded. "Everyone be careful. We don't know what we'll encounter ahead. But no matter what, we must find the treasure and stop the mysterious force's conspiracy."

The four cautiously advanced through the passage, each step fraught with uncertainty and danger. They knew that in this place full of deception and traps, a single misstep could lead to utter ruin. But they did not retreat, resolutely moving towards their goal.
