Chapter 22 The Hidden Treasure.

Jun Luochuan led the group, like a team of explorers groping in the dark, continuing their arduous search through the mysterious ruins. Having just overcome numerous treacherous traps, they were now exhausted, both physically and mentally, like flowers battered by a storm. Yet, their bright eyes still shone with a steadfast light like stars.

"This godforsaken place is like hell on earth. I don't know when it will end." Little Li in the group couldn't help but complain, his voice as wilted as a frostbitten eggplant, full of helplessness and grievance.

"Stop babbling on. If you don't want to leave, go home yourself," Jun Luochuan retorted irritably, his face still bearing that arrogant, icy expression that seemed to freeze the surrounding air.

Su Yao, on the other hand, was like a tireless lark, skipping and hopping excitedly ahead, humming a tuneless but incredibly cheerful little melody, as clear and melodious as a babbling brook in the mountains.

"Su Yao, can you be quiet for a moment? Stop being such a noisy sparrow!" Jun Luochuan was annoyed by her noise, his brows furrowed like twisted braids.

"Hmph, I'm just happy." Su Yao made a playful face, looking like a mischievous elf.

The group continued their slow journey, the surrounding environment growing increasingly eerie and terrifying, like a giant web of darkness threatening to devour them mercilessly. The ancient murals on the walls, like silent narrators, seemed to whisper tales of mysterious pasts sealed away by time, sending chills down their spines.

Suddenly, as if she had discovered a new continent, Su Yao stopped abruptly in her tracks.

"Look, what is this?" she exclaimed excitedly, pointing to a strange pattern on the wall. Her voice, like lightning piercing the night sky, instantly drew everyone's attention.

The crowd immediately gathered around, while Jun Luochuan, like a meticulous scholar, carefully and intently observed the mysterious pattern.

"This seems to be an important clue," Jun Luochuan murmured to himself thoughtfully, his expression as if he were deciphering a profound mystery.

"What valuable clue could it be?" Xiao Li asked curiously, leaning closer with wide, round eyes.

Jun Luochuan rolled his eyes at him and said irritably, "I'm not a god, how could I know so quickly? I need to study it properly."

Just then, a chilling wind arrived silently like a ghost, howling past and bringing a bone-chilling cold, as if it were the breath of hell.

"This strange wind is very suspicious." Jun Luochuan instantly became alert, his eyes like those of a wary wolf, not missing any trace of danger.

Everyone immediately tensed up, like a taut bowstring, and looked around anxiously.

"Don't scare yourself." Although Su Yao said this, her voice trembled involuntarily, like a leaf swaying in the wind.

Jun Luochuan ignored her and continued to study the mysterious pattern with complete concentration.

After a while, his bright eyes suddenly lit up, like a dazzling shooting star streaking across the night sky.

"I understand now. This pattern is like a signpost, pointing to a mysterious place. Perhaps the precious thing we've been searching for is hidden there," Jun Luochuan said excitedly, his voice filled with barely concealed excitement.

"Really? That's amazing!" Upon hearing this, everyone cheered and jumped for joy, as if they had won the lottery.

"However, the journey will likely be anything but smooth, so everyone needs to be on high alert," Jun Luochuan reminded them promptly, his serious tone like a warning bell.

"What's there to be afraid of? With your wise and mighty leader here, we're not afraid of anything," Su Yao said with a smile. Her sweet words were like a warm spring breeze, warming everyone's hearts.

Jun Luochuan glanced at her helplessly and said, "You're so good with words."

So, following the pattern, the group cautiously moved forward. They walked on thin ice, each step taken with trepidation, afraid of accidentally triggering some deadly trap.

"This place is as quiet as a tomb, it sends chills down your spine," someone whispered, their voice filled with fear.

"Quiet down, all of you, don't make a sound," Jun Luochuan hissed, his voice sounding as if it were being squeezed out from between his teeth.

Suddenly, a heavy stone gate appeared in front of them, standing there silently like a guardian.

"Could there be some unknown danger hidden behind this door?" Su Yao asked timidly, her voice trembling slightly.

"I can't worry about that now, let's open it and see what's going on." Jun Luochuan said, striding forward without hesitation and forcefully pushing open the heavy stone door.

Inside the door was a spacious room, like a palace. In the center of the room stood an ancient stone platform, on which lay a book, as if it were sleeping and waiting for a destined person to awaken it.

"What kind of mysterious book is this?" Unable to contain his curiosity, Xiao Li couldn't wait to go forward and take it.

"Don't move!" Jun Luochuan shouted sharply, like a thunderbolt from a clear sky, startling Xiao Li into quickly withdrawing his hand.

Just then, a group of dark figures emerged from all directions like ghosts, instantly surrounding them.

"Watch out!" Jun Luochuan instantly drew his sword, the blade gleaming with a cold light in the dim light, and he faced the enemy without hesitation.

Everyone unleashed their own spells, and in an instant, light shone everywhere as they engaged in a thrilling and intense battle with the shadowy figure.

These shadowy figures were incredibly powerful, like demons in the night. It took the group a tremendous amount of effort to finally manage to drive them back.

"Phew, finally got rid of these troublesome guys," someone said breathlessly, as if he had just finished a marathon and was completely exhausted.

Jun Luochuan walked quickly to the stone platform and carefully picked up the mysterious book.

"What exactly is written on this?" Su Yao asked curiously, leaning closer, her head almost touching Jun Luochuan's shoulder.

Jun Luochuan carefully examined the ancient and mysterious characters on the pages and slowly said, "This seems to be a detailed record about the treasure."

"Really? Then we're going to make a fortune!" Su Yao exclaimed excitedly, gesturing wildly as if she could already see mountains of gold and silver treasures.

Jun Luochuan glared at her and said seriously, "Don't be too happy yet. We still don't know if this record is true or false."

Just then, some strange changes occurred in the room. The walls began to move slowly, and the ground trembled violently as if an earthquake had struck.

"Oh no, another new mechanism has been triggered!" Jun Luochuan shouted, his voice filled with anxiety and tension.

Everyone panicked immediately, like ants on a hot pan, at a loss for what to do.

"Everyone calm down, follow me!" Jun Luochuan shouted as he calmly searched for a way to escape.

After a series of difficult and tortuous attempts, they finally found a narrow exit.

"Hurry up!" Jun Luochuan urged loudly, leading everyone to quickly escape from the dangerous room.

Upon exiting, they found themselves in a completely unfamiliar place, surrounded by a dreamlike and bizarre landscape.

"Where is this again?" Su Yao asked, looking bewildered, as if she were a lone boat lost in a vast ocean.

Jun Luochuan frowned, his gaze sweeping around with a serious expression, and said, "I'm not quite sure either, but I feel like we're getting closer and closer to the treasure we've been dreaming of."

Just then, they heard a strange, deep sound, a sound that seemed to come from ancient times, sending chills down their spines.

"What kind of eerie sound is that?" someone asked in terror, their voice trembling like a leaf in the wind.

Jun Luochuan gestured for everyone to be quiet, while he himself pricked up his ears and listened carefully to the increasingly approaching mysterious sound.

The sound grew clearer and closer, and they saw a gigantic monster, as large as a mountain, slowly walking towards them, each step causing the ground to tremble slightly.

"My God!" the crowd exclaimed in unison, their voices filled with despair and fear.

"Don't be afraid, prepare for battle!" Jun Luochuan roared, his voice like a battle horn, instantly igniting everyone's fighting spirit.

Everyone gripped their weapons tightly, ready to fight the monster to the death.

The monster opened its gaping maw, which was like a black hole, and pounced, bringing with it a gust of wind.

Jun Luochuan's figure flashed, dodging the monster's ferocious attack with the agility of a ghost. Then, his sword pierced the monster's eye like lightning.

The monster, in pain, let out a deafening roar and launched an even more frenzied attack, its momentum seemingly intent on crushing them all.

The group engaged in a thrilling and life-or-death struggle with the monster, every moment filled with danger and crisis.

Finally, with everyone's concerted and tenacious resistance, the monster's massive body crashed to the ground, raising a cloud of dust.

"I'm exhausted." Someone plopped down on the ground like a lump of mud, panting heavily.

Jun Luochuan, however, remained vigilant, his gaze still scanning the surroundings warily, and said, "We still don't know what terrible things are waiting for us behind us."

They continued on their journey, encountering all sorts of unimaginable dangers along the way, but they overcame them all with their indomitable will and outstanding skills.

Finally, they arrived at the entrance of a deep cave, its entrance shrouded in a mysterious mist that made people hesitate to enter.

"Could the treasure we've been searching for be hidden in this cave?" Su Yao asked expectantly, her eyes sparkling with excitement.

“We’ll know once we go in and see,” Jun Luochuan said, and without hesitation, he took the lead and entered the cave.

The cave was filled with a mysterious and ancient atmosphere, as if it were the sediment of time, making people feel inexplicably tense and oppressed.

They walked carefully, the ground beneath their feet damp and uneven.

As they walked, a huge treasure chest appeared before them, radiating an alluring light as if beckoning them.

"Is this the treasure we've been dreaming of?" someone exclaimed excitedly, their voice trembling as if they had seen the most wonderful thing in their life.

Jun Luochuan stepped forward and slowly opened the treasure chest.

The treasure chest shone brightly and was dazzling. It was filled with a dazzling array of treasures, like a box filled with stars.

"We're rich! We're rich!" The crowd couldn't contain their excitement, and cheers echoed throughout the cave.

Just then, the cave began to shake violently, as if it were about to collapse.

"No! Run!" Jun Luochuan shouted, his voice filled with urgency.

Without a second thought, everyone clutched their treasures and ran desperately toward the cave entrance.

Finally, they successfully ran out of the cave, everyone panting and drenched in sweat.

"This trip was truly terrifying," Su Yao said, still shaken, as if she had just escaped death.

Jun Luochuan looked at everyone and said seriously, "Don't be too happy yet. The road back is still full of unknown difficulties and dangers."
