Under the moonlight

The next day, Huang Meng got up early, tidied herself up, and went downstairs to wait for Li Shuo. He had sent her a voice message on WeChat early in the morning, asking her to wait downstairs.

As Huang Meng stuffed the last bite of egg into her mouth, she stood on tiptoe and watched. A moment later, she heard the roar of a car engine; the car was coming.

Huang Meng quickly turned to the opposite side, and as soon as the car stopped, she pulled open the door and got in.

"Quick, I'll send you the address, there's no time to save you!" Li Shuo didn't say much, opened the navigation, and sped off.

After driving for a while, Li Shuo noticed that the area was getting further and further out of the city and asked doubtfully, "Are you sure the address is correct? We're almost out of the city center."

Huang Meng didn't reply, but kept looking at the road ahead and then at the map on her phone. This place was really remote, and she didn't want to go anymore.

Seeing that she didn't speak, Li Shuo turned to look at her, sighed and said, "You, you're always sneaking around when you're dating, and you're always acting all mysterious when you're looking for a job. How are you going to survive in S country like this?" Li Shuo spoke earnestly and patiently, like a parent lecturing a child.

"Hey, why are you lecturing me? Why don't you talk about yourself? A beautiful, aloof, and elegant woman was offered to you, and you didn't even appreciate it. Humph, how did you reject her yesterday? If your mom finds out, she'll beat you to death!" Huang Meng retorted without any politeness while looking at the map on her phone.

"Hey~ how did you know I rejected her?" Li Shuo said with a smile.

"You? If you had a crush on someone, you wouldn't even need my aunt to tell you. You'd be all over the place offering to give her away. Tch~" Huang Meng rolled her eyes at him, looking at his upturned lips. She could see him smiling even through his sunglasses.

"Hmm, not bad, as expected of family, you really understand me~" Li Shuo held the steering wheel with one hand and reached out his right hand to pat Huang Meng's head.

"Ouch~ Oh dear, my hairstyle!" Huang Meng slapped his hand away in annoyance and quickly smoothed her hair.

As the two were talking, the navigation indicated that they had arrived at their destination. They stuck their heads out and looked outside. It looked like an abandoned old factory area, and there wasn't a soul in sight except for their car.

"My God, let's go. What if we go in and can't get out? It's not worth leaving you there too!" Huang Meng's heart was racing. The factory across the street looked just like a dismemberment scene in a horror movie.

Li Shuo took off his sunglasses, looked across the street, opened the car door and got out. Huang Meng quickly opened the car door and followed behind him.

The two took a few steps forward, then Li Shuo spun around a few times and looked at Huang Meng: "Where did you find such a shabby place!"

"Hello! Hello!" Huang Meng was interrupted. The two turned around and looked behind them. A chubby girl was standing next to their car with a smile on her face.

The round-faced girl was surprised that Li Shuo would speak to her, and she couldn't help but smile. "Yes, yes, you want to see the company, I can take you there. As for the salary, we need to confirm that with the boss."

Huang Meng tugged at Li Shuo's wrist and whispered, "Since we're already here, why don't we go with her and take a look?" The little girl nodded in agreement upon hearing Huang Meng's words, her eyes filled with gratitude as she looked at Huang Meng.

Li Shuo glanced helplessly at Huang Meng, stopped in his tracks, and looked at the girl, "May I ask your name?"

Hearing Li Shuo speak to her, she quickly replied, "I, my name is Liang Yuanyuan, you, you can also call me Yuanyuan."

Liang Yuanyuan stared at Li Shuo with bright eyes. Huang Meng watched her from the side, then looked at Li Shuo, who had a stern face, and felt that there was a strange contrast between the two.
