Chapter 172 Sleeping Together

Huang Meng stood in the elevator, but her mind wasn't on Xu Ao. She kept her head down and muttered something to herself.

"What are you muttering to yourself?" Xu Ao suddenly leaned close to her ear and whispered, startling Huang Meng. "Huh? No, I didn't say anything!" As if she had done something wrong, she quietly moved away from him. Xu Ao frowned slightly. What was going on? Who was she disgusted by? He couldn't help but lift up his hospital gown and smell it. All he could smell was disinfectant.

"Huang Meng, we've been back for so long, and you still haven't told me what happened after I fainted," Xu Ao suddenly asked as he got into the car.

"Yes, that's true. But you've been in a daze the whole time, and the doctor said to talk to you as little as possible and let you rest more." After Huang Meng finished speaking, she looked down at her phone, which displayed a message from Jiang Ying.

"Hmm, is that so?" Xu Ao snorted coldly, expressing his dissatisfaction with Huang Meng once again. This woman had been looking at her phone all day. What was she looking at?

"Please come in." Huang Meng opened the door and somewhat embarrassedly invited Xu Ao in.

“Our house is a bit messy, we have too much stuff, please don’t mind, just go take a shower, I’ll bring your clothes to your door later.” Huang Meng said and quickly pushed Xu Ao into the bathroom.

Xu Ao was full of questions and decided he had to ask them properly later. He also knew he should take a good shower. He slowly took off his clothes, revealing his entire upper body. He turned to the side, revealing a shocking scar on his back. The newly healed scar was pinkish-red and slightly stinging to the touch.

Xu Ao stared at the bulging scar on his back. The doctor said that he almost lost his spine. Due to limited resources at the time, the simple bandage, coupled with the subsequent confrontation with Saudi Arabia, caused the wound to reopen and become soaked with sweat. Therefore, even though the spine was saved in the end, there was no way to repair the scar.

Xu Ao stared at his back and slowly sighed, then turned on the tap and started taking a shower.

Only when she heard the sound of water coming from the bathroom did Huang Meng feel relieved and immediately ran out the door. She remembered that there was a men's clothing store to the left of the community gate, where her father often bought clothes. The styles might be a bit old-fashioned, but it was better than having no clothes to wear!

Huang Meng rushed back carrying a pile of men's clothing, but upon entering, she couldn't hear the sound of water running in the bathroom. Huang Meng asked in confusion, "Where is everyone?" The next second, she was enveloped in a warm embrace. "Why couldn't you find me again?" Xu Ao hugged her tightly from behind.

He had just taken a shower, and was wearing hospital gown pants underneath, with nothing on his upper body. His skin, fresh from the shower, was dry, warm, and still carried the scent of her shower gel.

"Put your clothes on quickly, don't catch a cold," Huang Meng said in his arms, but she couldn't move at all, nor did she want to. His embrace was simply too captivating for her.

"Okay, but it's too awkward to get dressed in the living room. Let's go to your room." Xu Ao deliberately touched her earlobe with his lips, and sure enough, the person in his arms trembled. Xu Ao smiled triumphantly.

Huang Meng had forgotten what she was supposed to do. She only knew that she was lightly led into the room by Xu Ao. On her small bed, Xu Ao used kisses to remove her layers of clothing, easing her tension and unease. His warm lips traced her chest and lower abdomen. He held her ankles with devotion and passion. He took in all her joy, but his intense desire was forcibly stopped just as she was about to receive him.

He held her as they lay on her small bed, the intense desire in the room gradually dissipating, leaving only tenderness and affection.

"Hmm, is there something you want to tell me?" Xu Ao said, hugging her from behind and kissing her earlobe.

"Ah, no!" Huang Meng thought to herself, "Hmph, a honey trap!"

"Oh? Hehe, um, okay, take a nap, I'm tired." Xu Ao chuckled softly from behind, and before Huang Meng could speak, he tightened his embrace, adjusted his position, and soon his steady breathing could be heard.

Huang Meng turned around suspiciously, and Xu Ao's deep features magnified before her eyes. She slowly turned in his arms, facing him directly, staring intently at him. "Hmm, you really are handsome, like a girl, haha~"

Thinking of her plan, Huang Meng decisively got up, picked up her phone, and quietly went to the living room. "Jiang Ying, how is it? Hmm, okay, let's proceed according to plan. I should be able to make it in time." After saying that, Huang Meng quickly hung up the phone, tiptoed back to her room, set her alarm, and lay back in Xu Ao's arms.
