After repelling the Flame Eagle, Zhang Peng and his group of four continued their journey deeper into the mountains. The surrounding fog grew increasingly thick, like a heavy quilt enveloping everything, severely obstructing their vision and allowing them to barely see a few meters ahead.

"Everyone be careful, there might be other dangers lurking in this fog," Qingfengzi warned in a low voice, his whisk trembling slightly, ready to deal with any unexpected situation.

Zhang Peng gripped the Five Elements Spirit Pearl tightly, attempting to use its power to dispel the mist, but with little effect. The pearl's light appeared exceptionally weak within the mist, as if it might be swallowed up at any moment.

Suddenly, a sinister laugh echoed from the mist, a sound that seemed to emanate from the deepest hell, sending chills down one's spine. "Entering the Qingfeng Ancient Realm won't be so easy."

The group immediately stopped and stood back to back, cautiously observing their surroundings. Several dark figures slowly emerged from the mist, growing clearer until they revealed themselves to be a group of people dressed in black robes, their faces veiled except for pairs of cold, piercing eyes.

"It's the Blood Demon Palace again!" Lin Wan'er said angrily, her staff trembling slightly, ready to launch an attack at any moment.

The leader of the black-robed men sneered, "You're quite persistent, but today is your burial ground." With that, he quickly formed hand seals and chanted incantations.

Instantly, countless black pythons surged out of the mist, their gaping maws lunging at the group. A putrid stench emanated from them, making everyone nauseous.

Zhang Peng and the others quickly used spells to defend themselves. Zhang Peng swung his longsword, and the five elements of spiritual power gathered on the blade, forming streaks of five-colored sword energy that cut down the approaching pythons. Lin Wan'er used wood-based magic to summon a thicket of thorns, attempting to block the pythons' advance. Su Yao used ice-based magic to freeze the pythons into blocks of ice.

Qingfengzi stood in the center, his hands forming a hand seal. A powerful surge of spiritual energy emanated from him, dispersing some of the surrounding mist. His gaze was resolute as he constantly monitored the battlefield, ready to provide support to everyone.

However, the Blood Demon Palace's magic was bizarre and ever-evolving. The black-robed figure continuously unleashed various evil spells, gradually trapping Zhang Peng and his companions in a predicament. Taking advantage of Zhang Peng's distraction from other attacks, a python suddenly pounced on him. Unable to dodge in time, Zhang Peng was bitten on the arm by the python, drawing blood.

"General!" Lin Wan'er exclaimed in surprise, and quickly used her magic to repel the python.

Zhang Peng gritted his teeth, tore off a piece of his clothing, and used it to roughly bandage his wound. His eyes flashed with fury: "These despicable bastards, I will never let them get away with this!"

Just then, Zhang Peng suddenly felt the Five Elements Spirit Pearl in his hand vibrate again, even more violently than before. A thought flashed through his mind: was the Five Elements Spirit Pearl about to activate its function again?

He concentrated his mind, attempting to guide the power of the Five Elements Spirit Pearls. In an instant, the Five Elements Spirit Pearls erupted with a powerful five-colored light, like a blazing sun, dispelling all the surrounding mist and darkness. Under the light, the black pythons turned to ashes.

The black-robed figures were blinded by the sudden light and shielded their eyes with their hands. Seeing this, Zhang Peng immediately seized the opportunity and unleashed a full-force attack. He gathered all five elements of spiritual power into his longsword and then swung it fiercely at the black-robed figures.

A massive, multicolored sword aura roared out, like a sharp blade, cleaving the leading black-robed man in two. The other black-robed men, seeing this, turned pale with fright and fled in terror.

"Trying to run? Not so easy!" Zhang Peng shouted, trying to give chase, but Qingfengzi stopped him.

"Don't pursue a desperate enemy. Our primary task is to find the Qingfeng Ancient Realm," Qingfengzi said.

Zhang Peng nodded slightly, knowing Qingfengzi was right. He sheathed his longsword, looking at the dimmed Five Elements Spirit Pearl in his hand, his heart filled with gratitude. If it weren't for the Five Elements Spirit Pearl unleashing its power at the crucial moment, they would probably have perished here today.

"The power of these Five Elements Spirit Pearls is truly mysterious and unpredictable," Su Yao said as she walked over and looked at the spirit pearl in Zhang Peng's hand.
