Dapeng's Time Travel Life

Chapter 604 The Gate of Transmigration, Yearning to Return Home

Standing before the Star Altar, Zhang Peng gazed at the slowly emerging multicolored passage, his heart pounding. This passage carried his longing and anticipation of many years; every shimmering light seemed to beckon him, calling him to embark on the journey home. However, he knew all too well that behind this seemingly hopeful passage might lie even greater, unknown dangers.

Within the multicolored passage, light, like nimble threads, intertwined and entwined, exuding a mysterious and alluring aura. Zhang Peng took a deep breath, calming his inner excitement, and began to carefully observe the runes and energy fluctuations around the passage. He discovered that these runes were not static, but rather flickered and flowed with a subtle rhythm, faintly resonating with the stellar power, mysterious forces, and primal power of the universe within his body.

"The opening of this passage seems to have some close connection with my power," Zhang Peng muttered to himself, his eyes gleaming with contemplation. He tried to mobilize the power within his body, carefully resonating with the runes in the passage according to the cultivation method of the "Spirit Realm Traversal Technique." As he poured his power into it, the light in the passage grew stronger, and the flashing rhythm of the runes gradually synchronized with his heartbeat.

Suddenly, a violent energy fluctuation emanated from the passage, as if a powerful force was trying to prevent him from entering. Zhang Peng's body trembled slightly. He gritted his teeth and increased his power output. The power of stars, mysterious forces, and the power of the universe circulated wildly within his body, forming a powerful energy vortex that surged towards the passage.

"I must go back!" Zhang Peng shouted in his heart, his voice firm and resolute. His eyes revealed unwavering determination, as if no force in the world could stop him from returning home. With his efforts, the resistance in the passage gradually weakened, and the light became more stable.

Just as Zhang Peng was about to step into the passage, he suddenly sensed a powerful aura coming from behind him. Startled, he quickly turned around and saw an immortal in a golden robe slowly approaching. The immortal wore a faint smile, but his eyes revealed an unfathomable depth.

"Zhang Peng, do you think crossing the Spirit Realm is such a simple matter?" The immortal's voice was deep and magnetic, echoing in this Abyss of Stars.

Zhang Peng warily observed the immortal before him. He could sense the powerful aura emanating from the other, far surpassing that of an ordinary immortal. "Who are you? Why are you blocking my way?" Zhang Peng asked, silently gathering starlight in his hand, ready to counter any possible attack.

The immortal smiled slightly, "I am the guardian of the Abyss of Stars. How could you so easily pry into the secrets of this mysterious place?" With that, the immortal waved his hand, and a golden light shot towards Zhang Peng.

Zhang Peng immediately unleashed "Starry Sky Mystic Guardian Light - Ultimate Defense Form," and a multicolored shield instantly appeared in front of him. The golden light struck the shield with a loud bang, and the shield's light flickered violently, but it successfully withstood the attack.

"Hmph, you've got some skill." The immortal raised an eyebrow slightly, a hint of admiration flashing in his eyes. "However, if you wish to traverse the Spirit Realm, you will still need to pass my test."

Zhang Peng inwardly groaned, but he knew that backing down now was out of the question. "What kind of test? Tell me," he said firmly.

The immortal's gaze swept over Zhang Peng. "I want you to find three ancient Star Keys in this Abyss of Stars. These three keys are hidden in different dangerous areas. Only by collecting them can you successfully cross the Spirit Realm. Otherwise, you will be trapped here forever."

Zhang Peng's heart sank; he knew this test would be no easy feat. The Abyss of Stars was fraught with danger—energy storms, mysterious creatures, and countless unknown traps—any one of which could cost him his life. But to return to Earth, he didn't hesitate for a moment. "Alright, I accept your test," he said through gritted teeth.

The immortal nodded. "Remember, time is limited. You only have three days. If you haven't collected all three Star Keys by then, the passage will be closed forever." With that, the immortal transformed into a golden light and vanished.

Zhang Peng gazed in the direction the immortal had disappeared, taking a deep breath. He knew his adventure was far from over; even greater challenges awaited him. But his resolve had never been stronger: no matter how difficult, he would find the three Star Keys, traverse the Spirit Realm, and return to Earth…
