The Legend of the Strongest Saiyan

Chapter 142 The 7th Universe Wins Again

Son Gohan emerged from the rubble, his face covered in dirt, and looked at the playing field. He rubbed his hair and said, "Phew, thank goodness I made it through."

"nice shot!"

Before Gabe could recover from the shock, he heard Weiss's words: Sun Wukong's ball hit the center perfectly, scoring a point.

Because Gabe failed, the batter was substituted again, which made Billus, who was watching the game from the sidelines, smile with delight.

"You fat pig, how about that? Still think you're something?"

Champa's head suddenly flared with anger as he glared at Beerus with an incredibly large head, "Skinny ribs, don't be too happy yet. Next up is me, the god. You guys don't have a chance!"

Beerus clapped his hands and chuckled as he looked at Champa, "I'm really looking forward to your performance, you fat pig."

Champa confidently walked onto the playing field, saying, "Gabe, you can go and rest first."

“Lord Champa…” Champa took the baseball bat from Gabe, “Don’t worry, I’ll defeat the rest of them by myself.”

Once the substitutions were complete, Bardos announced the start of the next round.

Sun Wukong stared blankly at the elephant-patterned man who had appeared, and exclaimed, "Is it Lord Elephant Pad who has arrived? Then I should get serious."

A white light flashed in Sun Wukong's eyes, and he instantly completed Super Saiyan 5 at full power. Just as Sun Wukong was about to throw the ball, a calm and unhurried voice rang out.

"Wait a minute..." Champa kicked the dust off his feet, then tried swinging the baseball bat a few times. Once everything felt right, he got into position and signaled to Sun Wukong to serve.

“Champa?” Beerus looked at him with disdain. “You’re really embarrassing the God of Destruction.”

"Alright, Sun Wukong, serve!" Upon hearing this, Sun Wukong unleashed his full power. The fragile ball, covered in the raging aura of a primal Saiyan, transformed into a powerful missile that hurtled towards Champa.

Seeing this, Champa smiled calmly, aimed at the ball's trajectory, and channeled his divine power into the baseball bat, delivering a beautiful catch that sent the ball flying perfectly into the infield.

Just as Vegeta stepped forward to grab the baseball, a jackal-like figure darted past, startling him.

Upon recognizing Yamcha as the one stealing the ball, Vegeta felt inexplicably angry and rushed towards him, intending to stop him from stealing a base.

"Great, the ball is in my hands." Yamcha looked around and saw Krillin and Trunks facing off against Bodamo and Maggetar. Goku was still standing there in a daze, thinking that he was done after losing the ball. Only Piccolo was smart enough to find an opportunity to receive the ball from Yamcha.

Piccolo stopped Vegeta at incredible speed, but Champa had already thrown his bat and run towards Yamcha.

"Piccolo, you can't stop me!"

Vegeta roared and charged away from Piccolo with all his might. After Piccolo was knocked away by Vegeta, Champa had already reached Yamcha's right side. The next moment, just as Goku rushed over to help, Yamcha had already been knocked away by the two of them.

Beerus's eyes widened, and he yelled, "Foul! Foul! Whis, Vados! Look, Champa fouled! Universe 7 should score!"

Before Bardos could even speak, Champa's defiant voice rang out, "Hey, skinny ribs, what do you mean? You can't stand to see me score?!"

“Can’t you stand it? Besides, it’s a foul if the two of you run the ball together. Only the person with the bat can run the ball. Don’t you understand the rules?” Beerus said logically.

Champa's head spun when he heard this, and he was furious. Fortunately, Bulma said something that calmed Champa down, but Beerus quickly reignited his anger.

"I said that friendship should come first in the competition, and I've already arranged a big meal after the competition."

Xiangpa said, "That's right, just treat it as exercise. Even if we lose the first half, we still have two more games to go."

Upon hearing this, Beerus casually replied, "No, a competition is a competition, and we must win first place."

"Skinny ribs, do you have to fight for everything?!" Champa glared fiercely at Beerus.

Beerus was annoyed by Champa's impolite gaze. "What? I was just telling the truth. You don't like it?"

Champa was well aware that he couldn't beat Beerus if he didn't hold back, so he held back.

"Let's have a match. There are still two matches left, and it's not certain who will win or lose. I'll let you be arrogant for a while, Beerus."

Soon after, Westbrook announced a switch, shifting the balance of power between the two sides.

Vegeta grinned excitedly, "Kakarot, you're finished!"

Goku continued swinging his baseball bat, "Heh heh, that's about enough." He looked up at Vegeta, "Come on, Vegeta!"

"Aha!"

Both of them transformed into Super Saiyan 5 at the same time. Vegeta threw the ball first, and the next moment, with a "thud!" Goku perfectly hit the ball.

Just as Vegeta was about to catch the flying ball that Goku was throwing, Magata, who was following behind him, stopped his jumping and teleporting actions when he heard Vados's words.

"That's perfect! Mr. Goku hit a home run!"

"Universe 7 scores again!"

Vegeta's face darkened upon hearing this. "It's Kakarot again!" he muttered under his breath, clearly annoyed.

Soon after, thanks to Goku's second point and Yamcha's excellent sideline skills, despite his frail physique, Universe 7 ultimately won the game.

(Due to my limited writing skills and lack of understanding of baseball (to put it bluntly, I've never played it), I still wanted to write some slice-of-life scenes. The next chapter will be about fighting. Finally, thank you all for your continued support. There will be another chapter tonight.)
