Ji Yan wasn't idle; he took out his notebook from his backpack and started working.

After a long while, Ning Yi had finished cooking and was carrying the dishes out when she saw Ji Yan actually working.

Ning Yi was a little angry, so she deliberately made a loud noise when she put the dishes on the table to attract Ji Yan's attention.

After seeing Ning Yi, Ji Yan closed the notebook and put it aside, then got up and walked towards Ning Yi.

"Is it ready? I'll take it," Ji Yan said as he walked.

Ning Yi said irritably, "Didn't I tell you to rest? Why are you working again? Are you a workaholic?"

Ji Yan was stunned for two seconds by Ning Yi's words. After realizing what she meant, he found it somewhat amusing to think about Ning Yi's tone when she said it to him.

"Okay, okay, it's my fault. I shouldn't have gone to work again." Ji Yan smiled faintly, leaned closer to Ning Yi, and kissed her on the cheek again.

Ning Yi nudged Ji Yan and gave a soft snort.

Ji Yan lowered her head slightly, looking closely at Ning Yi, whose face was filled with dissatisfaction.

“If I’m not busy with work anymore, I’ll definitely spend time with you and let you rest well,” Ji Yan said earnestly, staring at her.

Ning Yi pouted: "Fine, hurry up and wash your hands so we can eat."

Then Ning Yi and Ji Yan went into the kitchen and brought out the dishes, placing them on the dining table.

When Ji Yan saw the tomato and shrimp ball soup on the table, she looked surprised and raised an eyebrow at her: "Xiao Yi really knows me like the back of my hand. I really want to drink this soup. I've been craving it ever since I had it once."

Ning Yi smiled smugly: "Actually, you said it yourself during an interview when the host asked you about it."

Ji Yan thought back for a moment, but he couldn't remember when it happened. He didn't expect Ning Yi to remember it and even watched his interview.

"Thank you, Xiaoyi," Ji Yan said, her eyes filled with tenderness.

"Alright, hurry up and sit down and try it, see if it tastes any better," Ning Yi continued.

Ning Yi ladled a bowl of soup for Ji Yan and handed it to him.

He took it, tasted it twice, nodded in satisfaction, and said, "This is the taste!"

Ning Yi smiled and then sat down to drink her soup.

She put some food in Ji Yan's bowl and said, "Eat more, you've lost a lot of weight."

"I'll take you out later. There's a tea shop there with a unique decor and pretty good food. Most people who come here for vacation go there to sit for a while," Ji Yan said after taking a bite of his food.

Ning Yi nodded: "Won't it be crowded? Is it convenient for you?"

Ji Yan replied, "I'll contact the manager over there and have them prepare a pavilion for us. We can just go there directly then."

After the meal, Ji Yan took the initiative to clear the table and tidy up the dishes. Ji Yan told Ning Yi that the upstairs room had all the necessary daily necessities and skincare and cosmetic products.

Some belonged to An Hui, and Ji Yan later had many more added to the collection.

Ji Yan was worried that they might not come back until later in the afternoon or evening, and that the temperature would drop further. He was concerned that Ning Yi would be cold, so he asked her to pick out a coat to take with her when she went out.

Ningyi went upstairs. There were many clothes in the room, all kinds of styles, and many of them still had their tags on. She tried on a few pieces and they all fit her well.

She casually picked out a shirt jacket and then went downstairs.

After everything was tidied up, Ji Yan put on sunglasses and a baseball cap and went out with Ning Yi.

Ji Yan drove a car she had never seen before. From what he said, he must have been planning to bring her here to escape the summer heat for a long time, so he had made arrangements here well in advance.

After a short drive, we arrived at the afternoon tea shop that Ji Yan had mentioned.

Ning Yi rolled down the car window and was startled when she saw the large house that looked like a castle in the distance.

"Is this really a place for afternoon tea?" Ning Yi asked incredulously.

The house in front of me looks exactly like a castle. It is exquisitely built, beautiful, and very large. If you didn't know better, you would think that a wealthy person lived in a castle here.

It's clear that this place is quite popular; many people are taking photos outside the castle, and there are many more people coming and going.

Ji Yan smiled and said, "It's beautiful inside too. I'll take you in later. I'll go park the car first."

After parking the car, Ji Yan took Ning Yi into the castle.

Ningyi stepped into the store and was immediately amazed by the scene before her. It was so beautiful, like stepping into a castle from a movie.

The decor is luxurious and exquisite, and it looks very expensive.

This place is really big, with six floors. It's hard to imagine that this is just a place to eat pastries and drink coffee.

Ji Yan then led Ning Yi to the third floor. After exchanging a few words with a friendly waiter, the waiter, with a smile on his face, led them to another place and opened a door for them.

Upon opening the door, you'll find an outdoor balcony with a pavilion. The space isn't small, and you can sit outside and soak up the sun.

The waiter handed two menus to Ning Yi and Ji Yan respectively: "Please be seated and order."

They walked to the pavilion, sat down, and Ningyi started flipping through the menu.

She had to admit that she had never heard of many of the desserts and drinks on the menu, and the variety was extensive and the prices were exorbitant—at least six or seven times more expensive than the afternoon tea she had elsewhere.

Ji Yan told Ning Yi to order whatever she wanted to eat or drink. He was worried that Ning Yi would be unsure what to eat, so he thoughtfully recommended a few dishes. Then he asked the waiter to select two of the restaurant's best-selling items.

After the waiter left, Ning Yi couldn't help but look around.

This is a great place for afternoon tea. There's a golf course nearby, and the atmosphere is quiet, the decor is unique, and you can soak up the sun. There's also a pleasant smell in the air.

After a while, there was a knock on the door from the inside of the balcony. After three knocks, the waiter pushed the trolley in and then placed the desserts and drinks from the trolley on it one by one.

After setting everything up, the waiter said to Ji Yan, "Sir, a gentleman just said he knows you and asked me to come in and ask if it would be convenient for you to see him. He said his name is Chu Yu."

Ning Yi looked at Ji Yan, who thought for a moment and then politely said, "Then please tell him to come directly over."

The waiter agreed and then left.

"Is he your friend? Did he see us?" Ning Yi asked.

Ji Yan nodded: "He must have seen us, otherwise no one would know I was coming here. He's also in the entertainment industry. I met him a few years ago when we participated in a music program, and we collaborated on two cover songs."

Ning Yi opened her eyes in surprise: "Then why did you let him come to find you? What are we going to do? He's in the industry, what if...?"
