"Was that a crow just now?" Elizabeth looked anxiously in the direction the crow had flown.

“It’s alright, I’m here. The ravens’ calamity won’t befall us.” Bruce said, trying to pull Elizabeth into his arms and continue what they were doing.

But a magical light the color of a star flashed past them.

The two were startled and looked up in the direction from which the magic had been launched. There stood Borist with a gloomy face, holding his wand.

Borest had assumed that interrupting Bruce and Elizabeth would make them realize something and leave quickly.

But Bruce cupped Elizabeth's face in his hands again, wanting to continue what they had been doing.

Borest could no longer tolerate it, so he unleashed a magical attack to forcefully interrupt the two of them.

Seeing that the two men seemed stunned with fright, Borest jumped out of the window and landed on the ground, asking, "What are you two doing here in the middle of the night instead of sleeping?"

"We were just... having a chat. Bruce, what are you up to so late at night?" Bruce hadn't seen what he and Elizabeth were doing.

But Boris's furrowed brow clearly indicated that he had seen everything.

Bruce was startled by what he heard. He looked at the windows of the castle and saw that the curtains of one window had been hastily drawn.

As Bruce was pondering whose window was in that room, he was suddenly slapped by Borest.

"what are you doing?"

Before Bruce could ask a question, Elizabeth rushed over and stood between the two of them.

Boris didn't answer Elizabeth, but said to Bruce, "You can go back now. I won't tell anyone else about this."

Elizabeth breathed a sigh of relief upon hearing this—she had acted impulsively and rushed forward, but she was still a little nervous when she actually faced Borest.
