Yu-Gi-Oh!: Phobic Peptide Mad Dragon Executioner Dragon

Chapter 57 The Weak Witch and the Bound Dinosaur

(When I added tags before writing this book, I forgot to select "no female lead". Or do you want to read one with a female lead? Also, the author has a very vivid imagination, so there will be many plot holes, but I will fill them in one by one later.)

The intercollegiate exchange competition adopts a best-of-five format, where each college's representative team is drawn into pairs for a duel. The college's representative team that wins three duels first advances to the next round (specific rules will be supplemented and improved later).

Each team has five official players and two substitutes. Aside from players potentially being unable to play due to health issues, in the event of a tie, a substitute player will enter the game for a tiebreaker.

Xing Liang relegated Dai Zi and Sera to the substitute positions. According to the school, the exchange competition was originally intended to only send students from Class A of Grade 3 to participate, and the two students from Class C of Grade 1 should try not to play if possible.

This request was exactly what Xing Liang wanted. Although it was an academic exchange competition, pain was still set in the duel. In previous matches, there were even sadistic lunatics who forcibly turned the pain level of both sides to the maximum, causing their opponents to die from the pain.

He couldn't bear to let his precious daughter suffer like that.

Back to the present.

“My…my turn.”

Despite her cool and aloof appearance, Klaus seemed timid and hesitant when she spoke.

Xing Liang seemed to understand why she resonated with the costumed witch.

"I activate [Creation of Witchcraft], and add the 'Witchcraft' monster... [Witchcraft Artisan - Blacksmith Witch] from my Deck to my hand."

"Normal Summon Forging Witch. During her 1st effect, during your or your opponent's Main Phase, you can Tribute this card and discard 1 Spell Card from your hand to activate this effect. Special Summon 1 'Witchcraft' monster other than Forging Witch from your Deck. I discard 'Witchcraft Alley' from my hand and Special Summon... 'Witchcraft Craftsman/Costume Witch' from my Deck."

She seemed to hesitate for a moment, but in the end, she chose the spirit she resonated with.

I'm really worried about that lazy brat who's always slacking off.

and…

She looked up at Xing Ya across from her. Xing Ya's attention was clearly not on her side. She was looking around and didn't seem very bright.

It should be...no problem, right?

"Then there's the second effect of the Forging Witch: banish this card from the graveyard and send it from the deck to the graveyard [Witchcraft's Slack].

Xing Liang pondered the strategy of Witchcraft from his memory. If it was a pure deck, it would have multiple card-bombing and card-removing effects. If the Glass Witch was played, it would even have a one-turn humanoid skill-drawing effect.

"I set another card to enter the End Phase. Since I have a Witchcraft monster on my field, the Slave from the Graveyard can be returned to my hand, and the Alley from the Graveyard can be placed face-up in the Spell & Trap Zone."

Without those few Evolution Emperors, Beyond Dragons, and Ultimate Transmission Terror Beasts, Xing Ya's deck should be able to hold its own against her.

"Um... teacher, my turn is over, it's your turn."

Klaus spoke up to remind him.

Xing Ya then realized what was happening and quickly drew a card.

"Ah, alright, my turn, draw! Entering the Main Phase, the effect of the card 'Hybrid Dinosaur of Creation' in my hand sends this card to the Graveyard. During this Main Phase, my Dinosaur-Type monsters on the field are unaffected by your activated effects. Is that alright?"

Klaus paused for a moment, then lowered his hand from the cover card.

"No, no."

Oh, I forgot about Fantasy Creation.

Xing Liang scratched his head. The effect of the Illusion Creation would be greatly reduced by the card-bombing effects mentioned earlier, and Klaus didn't have the Glass Witch on the field. At least until Xing Ya finished her combo, Klaus couldn't do anything.

After the fight, let Xing Ya dismantle Huanchuang.

"Then I activate [Ground Ascension], adding [Otherworld Meteor Ouroboros] from my deck to my hand, in exchange for destroying [Little Horned Dragon] in my hand."

"If the Little Horned Dragon is destroyed and sent to the Graveyard, Special Summon the Level 4 Dinosaur-Type monster [Soul Eater Oviraptor] from the Deck. Since a card is destroyed, Special Summon Ouroboros from your hand. Then, due to Oviraptor's summoning effect, add [Dinosaur Invader - Double-Beamed Dragon] from the Deck to your hand."

"Because I have two or more Dinosaur-Type monsters on the field, I can Special Summon Double-Beam Dragon from my hand, and with the 2nd effect of Phantom Creation in my Graveyard, I can Special Summon a Level 1 Dinosaur-Type monster, [Jade Beast - Calculation Dragon], from my Deck by banishing myself."

"The effect of the Jade Beast's appearance allows me to add 'Beta Overdrive' from my Deck to my hand if 'Little Wyvern' is destroyed by a card effect. If Little Wyvern is destroyed by a card effect and sent to the Graveyard, I can Special Summon 'Superconducting Terror Beast' from my Deck."

If she's not allowed to use the Ultimate Transmission Beast, then she'll use a lower-level one instead.

"Dread Beast effect: Liberate my Double-Beamed Dragon on the field to inflict 1000 Life Points damage to you. In return, this card cannot declare an attack this turn. However, monsters Special Summoned by the Little Winged Dragon effect cannot attack this turn anyway."

Krauss LP8000→7000

Xing Ya was very troubled. She couldn't use Evolution Emperor, Ultimate Transmission Terror Beast, or Beyond Dragon. So what monsters should she summon?

In the past, she would have snapped several photos of the Evolution Emperor on the spot long ago, instead of feeling so frustrated.

"Activate the effect of Oviraptor to destroy Jewel Beast and Special Summon Little Wyvern from the Graveyard. Then, use the effect of Ouroboros to destroy Little Horned Dragon and Special Summon Frost Winged Dragon from the Deck. Little Horned Dragon's effect is activated again to Special Summon Hell Raptor Wyvern from the Deck."

The bound dinosaurs are trying to hunt their prey.

"Pterodactyl effect: Add [Fusion] from Deck to hand, activate Fusion, and Fusion Summon [Cerberus Raptor] using Oviraptor and Pterodactyl on my field as materials! If it is successfully Fusion Summoned, place the Field Spell Card [Lost World] face-up from Deck!"

A primeval tropical rainforest surrounded the two. The dinosaurs on the field showed no unusual behavior, but the witch on the opposite side covered her mouth, seemingly feeling unwell.

"Lost World's 1st effect: Reduces the ATK and DEF of all monsters on the field except Dinosaur-type by 500."

Seeing Klaus's puzzled expression, Xing Ya kindly explained the effect.

Costume Witch ATK 2400 → 1900

"I haven't performed a Normal Summon this turn. I Normal Summon 'Scrap Dragon' and activate its effect to destroy itself, thus gaining an additional Normal Summon opportunity for a 'Scrap' monster. Since it was destroyed by its own effect, which is also a 'Scrap' monster, I added 'Scrap Chimera' from my Deck to my hand."

After Xing Liang returned from Ashsk, he gave her some cards, saying they were a good fit for her current deck.

It looks like something... a scrap metal shaft?

"Because I summoned a Dinosaur-Type monster, the second effect of Lost World was activated, Special Summoning a Token in Defense Position to your field. Then I Normal Summoned Chimera, whose effect Special Summoned Raptor from my Graveyard."

A dinosaur egg appeared on Klaus's field. Klaus didn't understand how it could have the effect of sending a monster to the opponent.

"I Synchro Summon Level 8 Scrap Dragon by Synchro Summoning Mythic Dragon and Chimera. I activate Scrap Dragon's effect to destroy Mythic Dragon on my field and your backrow face-down cards."

Scrap Dragon unleashed an atomic breath at Klaus's backcourt, shattering the face-down card and revealing its true form before it was sent to the graveyard.

Quick-Play Spell Card: [Witch's Cut]

The effect is to bounce the opponent's spell/trap cards back to their hand, but Xing Ya only has one field spell card on the field right now, so bouncing it back is meaningless.

"It's not over yet! I'll set up Link Arrows for Scrap Dragon and Ouroboros and Link Summon LINK-2 [Scrap Winged Dragon]! Its first effect Special Summons Scrap Dragon from my Graveyard, then destroys Scrap Dragon. Since a face-up Scrap Monster on the field is destroyed, its second effect Special Summons a second Scrap Thief Dragon from my Deck, then destroys one card on the field. I choose to destroy a Continuous Spell Card on your field, and if Scrap Dragon is destroyed, I will Special Summon Scrap Chimera from my Graveyard."

Having played the game "King of Horrors," she knows the importance of backline traps (the underworld), so she tries to clear out the opponent's backline as much as possible.

Surely no one plays cards without looking at the opponent's back row, right?

"Chain Wyvern activates the second effect of Costume Witch, discards one Spell Card, and uses cards on your field... Huh? Why can't I select one?"

Since those scrap metal monsters weren't dinosaurs, she wanted to chain-destroy the scrap metal dragons so that the subsequent effects of the scrap metal pterosaurs wouldn't be dealt with, but she found that she couldn't target them.

The costumed witch repeatedly raised her scissors, but could not throw them at the other side, and her body was intentionally or unintentionally moving closer to the seemingly harmless dinosaur egg.

"Lost World's 3rd effect: As long as your opponent has a Token on their field, they cannot target monsters other than Tokens on the field with their effects. The other 4th effect: If a Normal Monster or Token on the field is destroyed by battle or card effect, you can destroy that number of Dinosaur-Type monsters from your hand or Deck instead."

Finally, the costumed witch couldn't resist and attacked the token, but was stopped by the little horned dragon that popped out of Xing Ya's deck.

"Then, I use the Lesser Diablos in my deck to destroy tokens instead of tokens. Also, if the Lesser Diablos is destroyed and sent to the Graveyard, I Special Summon the Level 4 Dinosaur-Type monster, Dark Raptor, from my deck."

Xingya wouldn't normally include cards like Dark Raptor, but Xingliang's deck restrictions were too severe, so she could only include as many potentially useful cards as possible.

"Upon entering the battle phase, the Velociraptor attacks the Costume Witch on your field, and its effect activates at that moment, increasing its attack power by 400."

Velociraptor ATK1800→2200

Faced with the menacing dinosaurs, the weakened costumed witch was utterly powerless to resist.

Krauss LP7000→6700

"Next, Scrap Wyvern attacks your tokens, then the remaining monsters on my field will attack you directly!"

Krauss LP6700→0

The duel is over.
