"Snapped!"

As a Chinese soldier entered the command center, the staff inside stood in solemn respect and saluted to show their reverence.

The person who arrived was none other than General Dukao, the current commander of the Chinese operations. At this moment, he looked serious and kept instructing the clerk next to him.

"You must remember this carefully; there can be no carelessness whatsoever, understand?"

"understand!"

"Okay! Go and make the arrangements!"

With a wave of his hand, Ducao sent the clerk, clutching his data tablet, out of the command center.

Dukao's expression relaxed after he arrived at the conference room inside the command center.

The conference room was already full of people, including high-ranking officials from China. Lena used to attend such meetings as well, but unfortunately, she hasn't appeared in front of everyone since she was taken over by Morgana.

Perhaps it was the shame of being controlled and causing harm to China, or perhaps it was the resentment that erupted from being humiliated by Taotie, that made her unable to face those familiar people with a normal heart, so she chose to escape.

The discussion in the conference room immediately quieted down when Dukao entered.

Upon seeing this, Dukao nodded in greeting.

After he sat down, at Dukao's prompting, Lianfeng spoke up:

"The theme of this meeting is to discuss China's next defensive measures."

"As you all know, since the Taotie launched its full-scale attack, our communications with other forces on Earth have been blocked by unknown means."

"You could say we're fighting alone right now. Fortunately, we were prepared, using ten warships as the core of our communication network, which is enough to maintain our overall strategic layout and prevent us from being defeated one by one by the Taotie."

"This only barely managed to withstand the Taotie's offensive and stabilize the internal situation of China. However, I believe everyone understands that while we may have an advantage on the planet's surface, we are still in a passive and defensive position in outer space. Their level of civilization is still far beyond our reach. If the Taotie were to use a strike with nuclear or higher power regardless of the consequences, we would be powerless to stop them."

Having said that, Lianfeng stopped speaking and looked at the officers below. She had given a general overview of the current war situation, and now it was time for them to discuss it.

"Yes! That's the situation. To be honest, if it weren't for the preparations Glenn made, we wouldn't even be able to maintain this situation. China might already be engulfed in war, and people being displaced would be the norm."

Therefore, I am not saddened by the current situation; on the contrary, I am fortunate. Because we have not yet reached the point where other countries are in a similar situation, and we still have the power to fight back.

Dukao looked deeply at the many generals present and said with utmost sincerity that he hoped that the entire nation could remain united in the face of such a situation and jointly resist foreign enemies.

Seeing the bright eyes of everyone as he spoke, he felt a little gratified. Only by uniting could they withstand wave after wave of attacks from the Taotie.

Thinking of this, an idea popped into Dukao's mind.

"If Glenn were still here, perhaps the situation in China would be even better. After all, he always gave people a sense of reliability, didn't he? Alas! What a pity!"

Gathering his thoughts, Dukao continued:

"Alright, everyone can now share their thoughts."

After Ducao finished speaking, he looked at the others, his meaning all too clear.

Strangely, no one spoke, and the entire conference room became unusually quiet.

Dukao frowned, about to say something, when Old Huang, who had been listening quietly, spoke up.

"Old Du! Although I don't understand strategic planning, there are some things I can still understand."

The problem now is that the Taotie might become desperate and use weapons of mass destruction to cause irreparable damage to Earth. That's the only thing we need to worry about, right?

Upon hearing what Elder Huang said, the others nodded in agreement, as they shared the same sentiment.

They are not afraid of ground warfare; if they can't win, they'll just die.

But what they worry about is that kind of irresistible attack. If such an attack were to land on Earth, their efforts to fight back would become a joke. No one could stand such an operation!

"Yes! That's our only concern right now, but I have a few solutions."

Dukao spoke calmly, but his words clearly surprised everyone present. Had Dukao been prepared all along? Brilliant!

"Oh! Quick! Old Du, tell me, don't keep it to yourself."

A general urged him excitedly, and the others also looked at him with eyes that were burning with anticipation, as if they had seen a ray of hope.

"Cough cough!"

Seeing this, Dukao didn't hide anything and said:

"The only way to deal with Taotie is to rely on external forces. With our own abilities, we cannot make Taotie hesitate and be afraid. On Earth, we can only rely on two forces."

At this point, Dukao paused, his expression gradually becoming serious.

This change also made others realize that this matter was difficult to handle and involved too many factors.

Dukao continued:

"Firstly, they are angels."

"Angel?"

The crowd was puzzled, but the angels knew and understood that they had the ability to make Taotie wary.

But the angels don't seem to interact with them! They even get warned when they get close.

So what exactly is the solution that Lao Du mentioned?

"That's right, the first option is the angel."

Dukao didn't keep anyone in suspense and explained directly:

"You all know how powerful the angels are. If we can reach an agreement with them, their immense strength will deter the Taotie in outer space, making them hesitant to use weapons beyond nuclear weapons. But you must understand that this will be very difficult."

"Hmm! Judging from the angels' attitude towards us so far, even communication is a problem, let alone asking them to take the bullets for us. It's really a bit unfair, considering they've already done enough for us."

A middle-aged general pondered.

Upon hearing his words, the group began to discuss again, and finally a general sighed:

"Ah! If Glenn were here, with his abilities, he could not only talk to angels, but also cooperate with them directly."

The meeting room fell silent upon hearing this, as if reminiscing about the young man who had amazed them.

Seeing everyone's reaction, Dukao said:

"Even though it's difficult, there's no possibility if we don't try. Judging from the angels' actions all along, they don't have a good impression of Taotie, so we can still give it a shot. Didn't I hear that Zhao Xin is with an angel recently? We can try to communicate with him."

Upon hearing this, everyone was taken aback. "Is that so? How come they didn't know?"

Seeing this, Lianfeng spoke up, saying:

"Hmm! News just came back from the front lines that there seems to be an angel by Zhao Xin's side. The specific situation still needs to be confirmed. Although there is communication between the warships, the information transmission is quite slow over such a long distance."

"Yes! Verify it as soon as possible, contact Zhao Xin, and try to make contact with that angel. This matter needs to be handled slowly."

Dukao then said that the matter was now decided, and whether it would work out depended on the subsequent contact.

Others also agreed with the plan, but deep down they didn't have much hope for it, since angels are proud and look down on them like ants.

Would such a powerful entity agree to Dukao's proposal? You're kidding, they're not stupid.

But there's no other way now. Having a way is better than having no way at all. We have to try to see if it will work!
