Silly Zhu's Moving: The Old Neighbor's Nightmare

Chapter 9 Spatial Kitchen Countertop

Sha Zhu went to the room where the spies were staying and began to scan and investigate carefully.

Because it was so late, Sha Zhu didn't examine the objects closely; he implemented a "spot the difference" policy, covering everything he could see.

Everything scanned was first stored in the space. The basement entrance was found under a wooden box in the corner of the room.

Move the wooden crate into the space, lift a wooden board, and a dark hole appears before your eyes.

Sha Zhu took out a flashlight, turned it on, and walked towards the basement. The basement wasn't big, only seven or eight square meters, and was quite small.

There were only seven or eight boxes, a table, and a chair inside. On the table was a radio and some other miscellaneous items. I opened the boxes and looked inside.

These are exactly what you, the readers, are thinking. Sha Zhu transferred all of these things into his spatial dimension and then left the basement.

They went to the other rooms and began to search them. Some solid wood round tables, armchairs, cabinets, and square stools were all incredibly heavy.

Sha Zhu didn't know what kind of wood these were, but they looked incredibly precious and must be some fine antique furniture.

Sha Zhu spent about ten minutes ransacking seven or eight rooms.

The rice, flour, cooking oil, and seasonings in the kitchen were kept separately from the food I had previously scavenged, and stored separately from the food I had bought myself.

Sha Zhu wouldn't eat this looted food. These spies are all cunning; he might get himself into trouble.

But we can't waste them. We'll feed them to chickens and ducks, or secretly give them to passersby who can't make a living, even if they really die.

It's not my fault, I meant well. They won't be that unlucky, Sha Zhu thought.

After ransacking the courtyard, Sha Zhu exited through the main gate, mentally locking it from the inside, and headed towards Fengzeyuan. He figured the situation inside wouldn't be discovered for a while.

After walking for about ten minutes, near Fengzeyuan, in an alley, Shazhu discovered another secret hiding place of spies, who were having a meeting.

"What's going on today?" Sha Zhu wondered. "Why have all these spies suddenly come to the main street in front of Zhengyangmen? Do they have some big plan?" Sha Zhu couldn't figure it out.

Fortunately, you met me, and you won't have to endure all sorts of torture. Just think of all the tortures that come to mind: slow slicing, waist-cutting, dismemberment by chariot, beheading, skinning, branding with hot irons, castration, amputation, needle insertion, live burial, poisoning, caning, disembowelment, disembowelment, shooting, drowning, strangulation, facial tattooing, tongue cutting, being subjected to a pit of scorpions, boiling, dismemberment, and wearing red embroidered shoes, etc.

These tortures are not only numerous in variety, but also extremely cruel in method. If you were a time traveler, you would have a hard time enduring them.

Meeting me, and being able to quietly go to see your God, is a kind of happiness for you.

Sha Zhu used the same method to bury all these people in the black soil of the space, and then implemented a policy of "lighting out the rooms and courtyards".

Then he left.

It was already 11 p.m., and the gates of Fengzeyuan were long closed. Shazhu looked at the closed gates and couldn't bear to wake the old man guarding them.

Let's not cause any more misunderstandings at this point. I'm just a kitchen helper, I don't have much face to lose.

Don't wake the old man up and then bombard him with questions. Sha Zhu thought for a moment, then walked towards Qianmen Street Park.

Thinking to myself, I need to rent a place outside when I have time. Sha Zhu still wants to learn martial arts, and it's really inconvenient to stay in the dorms at Fengzeyuan. That's how it went.

The road was quiet. After arriving at the park, Sha Zhu found a secluded spot and slipped into his spatial dimension.

Looking at tonight's harvest, Sha Zhu's excitement was palpable.

Looking at the city wall bricks scattered everywhere, which had been moved to the designated location by Sha Zhu within the space.

Using his mind, he organized the bricks and stacked them neatly together. Sha Zhu thought for a moment; there wasn't a warehouse in the space yet, and these bricks wouldn't be enough to build one.

They then used some bricks as markers, linking them together ten meters behind the ancient well.

A space the size of a football field has been fenced off and is being used as a warehouse for the time being.

This space, the size of a football field, was frozen in time, and a set of basic necessities such as tables, chairs, benches, and a bed were left next to the ancient well.

They moved everything they bought at the mall, as well as everything they looted, into the mall.

We temporarily used the extra beds, cabinets, tables, and other items as shelves to put the things we bought from the mall on.

Food items such as grains, snacks, and pastries are stored together separately. This way, no matter what items or food are in the warehouse, they will not spoil over time.

Next, Sha Zhu moved some bricks over and built a simple earthen stove, modeled after the one used in Fengzeyuan. Sha Zhu then chose a suitable location.

The size and shape of the stove have been designed, taking into account cooking needs and available space.

Sha Zhu used his mind to construct the basic structure of the stove, using bricks to build the basic framework of the stove, including the stove door, the firebox, and the ash drain.

The interior of the hearth can be made of refractory bricks or other refractory materials to improve heat resistance and safety. These city wall bricks are particularly resistant to fire, and then the hearth is constructed using mental power.

The firebox is the core part of the stove and needs to be constructed using refractory materials.

My entire stove is made of fire-resistant bricks, so this is not a problem.

The stove was designed with sufficient space inside to hold firewood or coal, and proper air circulation channels were constructed using bricks.

Then, some black soil was mixed with lake water and used as mud. Since there was no special cement, it could only be used to seal and reinforce the surface of the stove.

They brought over a large iron pot for cooking, determined its dimensions, and then began designing the stove.

Depending on the size of the pot, a sturdy platform is built above the stove.

Once the pot is placed stably, the black clay is fixed in place.

The surface of the stove was smoothed with black clay to enhance its structural stability. Then, Shazhu used bricks to install the stove door and ash drain, making it easier to clean up the ashes after burning.

Looking at the completed makeshift stove, Sha Zhu used his mind to accelerate the natural drying of the stove, ensuring that all the bricks and black mud on the stove had solidified.

Sha Zhu then gathered some stolen firewood for a fire test, to observe the smoke emissions, combustion efficiency, and the dryness and stability of the stove.

Sha Zhu lit the firewood and threw it into the stove. Watching the burning firewood and the thick smoke billowing from the chimney, Sha Zhu breathed a huge sigh of relief.

Then Sha Zhu summoned some lake water to wash the large iron pot clean, then summoned some spring water to flow into the large iron pot, placed it on the stove, added some firewood, and opened the stove door wide.

Sha Zhu prepared to boil a pot of water to make tea. After the water boiled, Sha Zhu first rinsed an enamel mug he had bought with boiling water to clean off the dust and disinfect it.

Then I brought over a can of Zhang Yiyuan Longjing tea that I bought from the mall, grabbed some and put it into an enamel mug, poured in boiling water, put the lid on, and waited for two minutes.

Then Sha Zhu gathered over a dozen thermos flasks he'd bought from the mall, as well as those he'd stolen, and used boiling water to disinfect and clean them. When the water ran out, he kept boiling.

Sha Zhu planned to fill all of these dozen or so thermos flasks with boiling water and put them in the warehouse, so that it would be convenient to drink water and make tea in the future.

Sha Zhu lifted the lid of the enamel mug, and a rich, pleasant aroma wafted out.

The tea leaves have a flat and straight appearance, with plump buds and a grain-yellow color. The tea liquor is a tender green and bright.

Take a bite, and you'll find it sweet, fresh, and fragrant with a hint of bean aroma. The taste is refreshing and sweet with a lingering chestnut flavor.

Sha Zhu brought over some snacks and pastries, and they enjoyed drinking tea and eating pastries in a very pleasant manner.

By the time Sha Zhu had cleaned up the dozen or so thermos flasks, filled them with boiling water, and stored them in the warehouse, it was already past 1 a.m.

After finishing all that, Sha Zhu lay down on the carved bed, closed his eyes, and drifted off to sleep, having a private rendezvous with the Duke of Zhou's daughter.
