After transmigrating, she became the most beloved beast in the world.
Chapter 99 Kidnapping
The tranquility of the cave was broken by a sudden commotion, bringing the two to an abrupt halt.
A young female who had come to help ran in, shouting, "Quick, run! A fat wild beast in heat is charging at us!"
Wild Fat Beast?
Chu Xinyao's heart tightened. Having only glanced at the illustrations, she knew that the wild fat beast was a wild boar, and wild boars in heat were especially dangerous.
"Hurry, run."
Wild boars in heat exhibit unpredictable behavior and are extremely aggressive. In this emergency, Chu Xinyao's first instinct was to protect those around her.
She quickly grabbed the little female who had come to deliver the message and ran to the other side of the cave. She secretly rejoiced that she had taken recovery pills and body-strengthening pills early in preparation for today's ceremony, which gave her some assurance in terms of physical strength.
Worried about the noise and crowds in the cave, they also put all the second batch of snake babies into the nursery.
"Which direction are they coming from? Where is my beast mate?"
All the snake cubs were with Snake Ink, while Crane Feather and Tiger Roar were preparing for the ceremony on the other side of the cliff. She had almost no fighting power by her side, only a few little females who came to help.
In this situation, she had to make a decision to protect everyone's safety.
She directed the young females: "Go and inform the others to get ready. I'm going to check on the wild boars and the fat wild beasts."
These females were from a small tribe not far from here, and they were familiar with the terrain. They quickly dispersed and headed towards the tribe.
Chu Xinyao turned around, preparing to personally scout the wild boar herd's movements. With her speed and the Ink Step technique, it wouldn't be easy for the wild boars to catch up with her.
“Xin Yao, I’ll go with you. I’m from the deer clan, and I can run very fast.” A female with deer antlers on her head ran up after her.
"Okay! You follow me."
Chu Xinyao brought the antler-wearing girl with her; she was in front, and the antler-wearing girl followed closely behind.
Their figures darted through the woods, as elusive as two ghosts.
Chu Xinyao kept looking back to make sure the antler girl could keep up with her pace, while also observing her surroundings for signs of the wild boar herd.
The antler girl demonstrated her speed advantage, easily keeping up with Chu Xinyao even in complex terrain.
In the distance, a herd of wild boars roamed the edge of the forest. They were much larger than the pigs Chu Xinyao had seen before, almost the size of cows.
Its bulky body looked particularly frightening in the shadow of the trees.
These burly creatures had rough skin, sparse hair, and fangs that gleamed coldly in the sunlight.
Wild boars in heat, especially males, become unusually irritable and aggressive.
Chu Xinyao observed that it was indeed very close to the cave where they were.
The antler-adorned girl approached Chu Xinyao. "Xinyao, female..." she said softly, her tone seemingly questioning.
Chu Xinyao turned her head and responded with a "Hmm?"
She thought the girl had something to ask her.
Just then, Long Tingting's warning rang out:
[careful!]
They clearly sensed the danger, but the warning came too late.
The antler girl moved swiftly, throwing the powder she had been holding in her hand at Chu Xinyao's face with lightning speed.
Chu Xinyao took a step back alertly, but still inhaled some of the powder. Her body instantly became weak, her consciousness began to blur, and she eventually collapsed to the ground, falling into a deep coma.
The girl with antlers stood beside Chu Xinyao, a complex emotion flashing in her eyes.
Although her movements were swift, they were not rough. She bent down, picked up Chu Xinyao, and walked out of the forest.
When Chu Xinyao slowly woke up, she found herself no longer in the familiar forest, but in an unfamiliar environment.
As her vision cleared, she found herself trapped in a cage made of thorny trees. These sharp thorns served as both the walls of the cage and a natural chain to prevent her escape.
The familiar swaying sensation, this rhythmic swinging, made her realize that she was now on a ship.
The boat rocked gently with the waves, a rocking sensation that made her stomach a little uncomfortable, but she was more concerned about her situation.
With her hands and feet bound by strong ropes, she could only lean against the ground in an extremely difficult position, her back pressed against the cold ship planks.
The thorny branches of the cage were tightly intertwined, forming an airtight space. Only a few faint rays of light shone through the gaps, bringing a sliver of light to this claustrophobic space.
She tried to move her body, but dared not get too close, because the gleaming thorns constantly reminded her not to act rashly.
Why was she kidnapped? She believed she hadn't offended anyone in the Beast World, so was she after Tiger Roar, Snake Ink, or Crane Feather?
The cabin door opened, letting in dim light. Chu Xinyao closed her eyes, pretending that she was still unconscious.
The air was thick with dampness and a musty smell, mixed with an unsettling atmosphere.
"Tsk, why is this little fox still so clueless?"
A rough, hoarse male voice broke the silence, his tone filled with obvious dissatisfaction.
“Who says otherwise?” another voice echoed, equally rough.
Immediately following was the sound of someone dragging a heavy object.
"Hey, little fox, you're in luck. The female you're locked up with is a saint descended from heaven, incredibly beautiful." One of the orcs said with a lewd laugh.
Chu Xinyao squinted, observing her surroundings through the gaps in her eyelashes.
She heard the clanking of chains, and the thorn cage was roughly opened, with two male orcs dragging in a humanoid creature.
The humanoid creature's body was wrapped in rags, obscuring its face, but its entire body was covered in blood.
"Hey, let me go take a look first," an orc said excitedly.
With a "thud," one of the orcs dropped the humanoid creature and ran towards Chu Xinyao.
"Ugh!" The humanoid creature cried out in pain.
"Be careful! If you break him, it'll be hard to explain."
Chu Xinyao quickly closed her eyes, her heart pounding like a drum. She could feel the orc getting closer and closer, and a strong stench hit her face, making her almost vomit.
Rough, large hands touched her face. Chu Xinyao endured the discomfort and tried her best not to change her expression.
"My goodness, she's so beautiful! How can there be such a beautiful female?" the orc exclaimed, his breathing heavy and rapid, carrying a nauseating stench.
"Hey, don't mess around, that's what the higher-ups want," another orc warned.
"I know," the orc answered reluctantly, but his hand lingered on Chu Xinyao's face as if admiring a precious work of art.
Chu Xinyao was filled with fear and anger, but she knew that now was not the time to resist.
She must remain calm and wait for the right opportunity.
